Booked in to realise we were in self contained accommodation close to hotel. I thought I'd just booked last available room. It was excellent. Still used hotel for an evening meal and it was great. Good food, good service, warm atmosphere and good value.

Loved its central location. The staff were very warm and friendly. Food was very good, though a tad overpriced. Best to stick to their weekly deals at dinner. No adjacent parking! No risk of crime, but you could end up with a traffic fine.

Lovely large room for travelling with dogs. Very good food in the pub. No parking, but there is nearby parking available. Booking via Expedia the hotel did not get the info that we were travelling with dogs, we paid the surcharge and had a great room with easy access to take the dogs out.

We were only there for one night and their restaurant was busy for Mothering Sunday, but they fit us in and all the food was great. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. This inn is tucked into a small space on a narrow one-way street; there is free parking available but not at the inn. We parked in a small alley to unload luggage and had to move the car. There is no elevator. The building is old but the rooms were nice with adequate space and updated plumbing. It compares favorably with other small, quaint inns we have encountered on our trip. It is a ten minute drive to Glamis Castle which was our sole reason for being in Kirriemuir.

One of the best places I’ve stayed. I like it so much I’m here on a monthly visit for work. The hotel is lovely and originally well kept. The staff and hostesses are always very welcoming and friendly. The best bit; the food, simply amazing!

My second stay here at this charming pub. My only issue was where I was seated for dinner. I was a solo traveller and was plonked at the back of the restaurant amongst two families with very young kids. One literally screaming through my whole meal. It looked like there was plenty of space and other small tables, so I was confused as to why I was put there. Not ideal after a very long day of working and driving. However, the fish and chips were up there with best I’ve ever had!
