Stayed 3 nights

Lovely big family room comfortably fits 5. We were located at the back of the hotel near the car park. Which was very warm in this weather and only 1 fan was provided so would recommend taking an additional one. We kept the windows open in the night but the noise outside with traffic, bin lorries etc was pretty loud so kept waking myself being a light sleeper. Kids slept through it though. Car park was the biggest down fall. The spaces were small and not a lot of room to swing cars around so even if there is a space it can be inaccessible due to the angles and size of car. There is an overflow car park though. Overall for the price is was a nice stay and nice location.

Love the town and location. Building was hot as we went upstairs to room. Room was stiffling and carpet felt tacky so kept shoes on all the time. Both windows had secondary glazing which only allowed a 2 inch gap for air flow even though the window was drawn up and the top window was wide open. A fan in the room was ok but loud. There was a hum of machinery constantly even after the pub closed which was annoying all night. We went out in the car and when we came back at 8 there were no spaces left and they could not reserve one when we asked before leaving. I have a blue badge but no disabled parking either. We had to park past the hotel in a pull in that was free after 5 overnight and walk back to hotel. The tv was Freeplay but some of the channels struggled to play regularly loosing picxilating lines and volume. The vertical blinds were missing in the bathroom so no privacy and all night all the lights in the buildings below and across were left on, even empty function rooms lit up. Bathroom like daylight no lights needed to use it. Electric bill must be astronomical. Doors are locked after 11 you have to call to gain entry so not left on for people coming and going. Then in the morning, the shower leaked as the trim on the shower panel over the bath didn't work and water collected on the floor so a towel was used to mop up the puddle so I didnt have a shower either. Overall 0 out of 10 will not return. I did tell reception and was offered the managers email address

Unfortunately not my best visit here - visited several Times - checked in quite late - went straight to my room for a bath - no hot water ! - then headed down stairs for a bit to eat - had the same as my previous visit ( chicken bourguignon which was great last time) - unfortunately this time it was reheated microwaved mush - so headed to bed , unfortunately for me I was woken up by rocking headboards at 1.30 ( my neighbour was obviously having a better night than me ) thin walls between rooms means very little goes unheard ( congratulations must go to my neighbour as the wall Was still rocking an hour later ) - so very little sleep Was had by any of us - I will visit again as usually this place is great value but a few things could be improved with a little effort
