The Worcester Whitehouse Hotel

Plus points, staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was filling, decent quality with standard buffet breakfast options, alongside other items cooked to order. The location of the hotel was good. The small pool/spa area was a nice touch for a little relaxation. Negatives, the cost of the parking at the hotel, particularly pre-booked spaces. The sleep quality was poor with high levels of noise outside interrupting sleep.

The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. The hotel was tired. Extremely thin bedroom walls. You could hear nextdoor talking as if they were talking in your room. £10 per hour for early check in was a bit steep and it's £10 to park and another £10 if you want to reserve a space. Car park wasn't even that full.

Very disappointed that the Spa was closed. My room was a small single room but quite noisy regarding floorboards etc etc The Shower however was probably the best I've experienced in hotels, a power shower plus !

Centrally located hotel very close to Foregate Station. My single room was a reasonable size with everything I needed. The room was quite warm so I often needed the window open and an electric fan is also available. All the staff l met at reception and breakfast were helpful and efficient. The buffet breakfast was very good with poached or scrambled eggs cooked to order. The room was serviced daily to a high standard. There is a free health club with a small pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I would stay again next time I am in Worcester.

I liked how ornate it was and the leisure facilities were clean and relaxing

Nice stay at the Worcester Whitehouse, good breakfast and being able to use the Leisure facilities was a bonus.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay with friends. Lovely staff. Rooms comfortable & clean. Good breakfasts with lots of choices tho coffee could be better. Pool was out of action for refurb but will be great when available. Plenty of car park spaces. Good location with shops, restaurants & facilities close by. We are already planning our return visit.

Great location so close to Worcester Forgate Street station Hotel a little dated but clean and efficient service. Kind upgrade for our anniversary stay Great breakfast although very prompt close of service. Leisure facilities need serious upgrade and are very small

The hot tub and pool were closed for refurb disappointment as one of the reasons for booking hotel Never mind the rest of the stay was top notch. Rooms beds and shower all top rate. Must mention the Breakfasts which were cooked to perfection service in dinning room fantastic.

The room was ideal for my overnight stay. It was clean and well set out with tea and coffee. Greeted by friendly welcome. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel was nice. Parking at the rear. I am disabled and i entered the hotel via the side entrance, up a slope. The reception was tidy and staff friendly. The room was on the 2nd floor. A little difficult to get to as there wasn't a very wide corridor for turning through doorways. The room was small, twin beds when i asked for double. Clean room and bathroom. Creaky floorboards throughout. Room could do with modernisation. TV had plenty of chanels. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. The floorboards in the rooms upstairs were a bit noisy, which kept me awake til late but my husband slept through it. Beds were comfy. The bathroom was quite big. Clean but not modern. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Buffet with hot and cold options. The coffee wasn't the best. Check out was very easy.

Hotel was clean, bed very comfy , carpets and chairs had some stains looked like they required replacement or deep clean. Unfortunately there were issues with getting hot water into sink and shower

The room was generally clean, but the bath panel was not finished to the standard of the rest of the room and the room didn't appear to be vacuumed during our 5 day trip.

I booked this hotel, as it was closest to the venue we were visiting, but unfortunately, the room wasn't cleaned properly. I found a burger style wrapper under the desk area, a red bottle top between bed and side table and a broken arm off some sun glasses on the carpet close to the desk area. I left these on the side for the cleaner to see. There was only one coffee sachet, but reception were able to give me some extra sachets. One bed was comfy - it had a thicker mattress topper, the other bed not so comfy. Still had a lovely time and the hotel is central to the city centre and train station , so a great location.

The Hotel is situated in the Centre of Worcester, with generous car parking facilities. On arrival, the check-in was easy and rapid, the receptionist was so helpful and friendly. The room was on the third floor and was spacious, clean and the en-suite was clean and with no issues. The Breakfast was quite simply the best hotel breakfast we have ever eaten! Overall the staff were so helpful and friendly, and we will certainly be staying there again in the future. 10/10.

We had a two-night visit and really enjoyed the room, which was spotless, the staff, who we found very friendly and accommodating, and the food, which was excellent. Thanks for a great stay..

Good flow on shower. Hot water came through very quickly. Spacious room. NO AIR CON. Luckly it was not very hot when we stayed.

Our check-in experience was well below expectations; we arrived around midday and we knew check-in wasn't until 3pm, however, the first person we met bascially dismissed us. She didn't take our names, therefore, didn't even bother to check if our room could possibly be ready, nor suggest a time other than 3pm. She didn't ask if we had bags we wanted to leave with them, didn't suggest we could use the facilities (pool) ahead of checking in. Just wasn't interested in being helpful at all - it was funny as she was having a performance review in the lobby area later in the day and we were tempted to provide some feedback to her manager but rose above it. So, first impressions were not good. However, all other members of staff were better. Breakfast was great. Worst part was the temperature in the room. No air con, a tiny little fan which squeaked as it rotated and moved the hot air around, window that only opened two inches. We actually asked about air con before we went to the room; the answer was no, they did have a few rooms but not as standard but it should be OK as the curtains have been drawn and there is a fan. Well it wasn't OK - it was probably the hottest two nights in a hotel in my life. It was so oppressive - no escape! We did not sleep well because of this. I also struggled to get the shower temperature to anything other than scolding - very frustrating! Needless to say, I will not be going back any time soon.

Our room overlooked the main street and it was so noisy that neither of us slept a wink thanks to the incessantly loud partygooers. I'd advise asking for a room at the rear of the hotel if you want any sleep. Because of this we won't stay again.

The breakfast and leisure club were excellent, and the staff were friendly but the room was a little tired. No shaving mirror in bathroom, nowhere to hang a hand towel by the basin, soap dispenser in an odd location, and extractor fan didn't work. Mattress was a bit soft and the window overlooked the kitchen area and ventilation system which was noisy all evening and we started smelling the cooked breakfast from about 7am. We would try somewhere else if we stay in the area again.

Location of hotel is great near train station however, the downside is the rooms which face onto the Main Street are noisy all night which mean very limited sleep due to people shouting and also traffic noise all night. I do wonder if we were unlucky with the room location. Room very hot with no air con but had to close window to try and combat noise but failed. Hotel is quite run down in parts and rooms need an upgrade. Limited plug sockets also in the room. Shame staff didn’t provide information on check in such as use of swimming pool/opening times and timing of breakfast.

Very convenient for station and comfortable stay. We had a room at the back which was quiet but other family members were at the front and said it was noisy till late.

It’s a brilliant location in Town for restaurants etc. parking chargeable though & reserved parking £20.00 No air con in bedrooms though and those silly window locks you can’t open wide. Fan provided but still can keep you awake. Rooms clean and comfortable beds. Shower gel etc in silly little tubes and a seal which needs removing a nuisance. Why. Can’t they just provide an applicator for these ? Also need a adjustable mirror.

The "welcome" at reception was the poorest I have ever had - no words of Hello, Good Afternoon etc. just "NAME", then "oh you have to pay for parking." Then told the parking was £20 when I had been told on the phone it was £15. Mentioned this expecting a "oh yes that's fine..." but no, "That's the Expedia rate" but I didn't book the parking or hotel through Expedia, the hotel was through Hotels.com and the parking was direct on the phone. No amount of questioning was going to give this surly person any chance of changing her mind. So, as a consequence we spent absolutely nothing else in the hotel whereas normally we would probably have visited the bar for a while. Overall the best we can say is that the location was great, right in the middle of town. but it is very unlikely we would ever stay there again. The room was OK, the window looked out onto a roof and window lights, so no sea view lol! The shower was strong but made the whole room wet, and I couldn't change the temperature. Of course the bathroom fan didn't work but this is fairly standard, the hatch in the bathroom ceiling was a bit unnerving not knowing if cameras were hidden up there, wouldn't have been surprised. Breakfast was just ok, the saddest eggs I have ever seen! Even the welcome at breakfast was not welcoming. Overall a poor experience with any customer facing staff, although the morning receptionist was friendly but still didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay.

The front desk personnel were extremely polite and helpful. Three different people assisted me with either check-in, answers to questions, or something else. Top notch crew!!

Arrived to what looked a charming little hotel. Geoff working on the reception booked me in. When arriving into the room which has stickers saying no smoking on both the door and window. It was clear with the window already left open someone had been smoking in there. I'm a none smoker so wanted a none smoking room. I picked up the phone in the room to speak with reception. Room phone didn't work. I used my phone to call Geoff on reception. Here's where the fun started. Geoff informed me they would be fined and of course no one has beem smoking in your room. Also that the phone will work but not to outside numbers but only to reception. Clearly not helpful or true. A stronger approach was needed for my new helpful friend Geoff on reception so a walk was needed. Geoff still helpful not. But luckily for me a manager was available and came straight to the room and within 4 seconds mentioned you can't stay here. He swapped rooms within minutes and even helped carry a bag. Also offered a pint on the house. Unfortunately i didn't get his name but he managed to turn it around. I might even stay again just on his professionalism. But unfortunately i don't like been called a liar.

Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel in a perfect central location with easy access on site parking. Spacious, comfortable rooms. We requested a quiet room, as I am a light sleeper and had a perfect, peaceful nights sleep. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Thank you to all the lovely staff.

A great location in the heart of the city whether it is for business or pleasure. We used it as a dual purpose local visit and as a touring base.Reception staff are excellent being friendly and knowledgable. There was nothing about the hotel/room/staff that was disappointing. Only downside was the Saturday parking. It would have been good to have been warned when leaving the car park most available spaces would be reserved. I could then have made a decision to pay for a reserved space or find an alternative rather than return and waste time searching for a space. The good news, a secure alternative is the Crowngate car park. It is a 5min walk and if you enter after 5pm Saturday its £2 overnight and £2 Sunday all day, £4 in total.

Really good value for money. All the staff were very helpful, with a special mention for Gifts.

The staff on arrival provided an outstanding service and went beyond to ensure that my needs were met.

The hotel was really nice and well organized, with warm and welcoming staff. We will return to the hotel on our next visit to Worcester.

Check in was not the friendliest...The hotel is very dated with the mirror, soap and shower gel dispensers very high on the wall so not convenient for shorter people. Parking £10 extra which meant not the greatest room rate. Car park not well sign posted so expect a trip around the block. Best thing is location as very central.

Whitehouse Premier Inn was in a great lication, right in tye city centre. Parking was easy and not too expensive at £10 per night, lots of spaces when we went on a Saturday night in Sep so there was no need to book in advance. Would definitely stay again.

Very convenient location. Comfy beds for a good night's sleep. The pool and steam room were very welcome after a hard day at the NEC. Breakfast was the only let down. The fruit salad was though excellent but the cooked breakfast buffet style was a bit of a disappointment considering the price £15!

Have stayed here a few times and it is basic but clean and tidy and very convenient for the station. We ate dinner here last night and I would absolutely not recommend the food, it was borderline inedible. Breakfast on the other hand is always a solid offering. We will be back, but will dine elsewhere.

Very central location for visiting the town centre shops, cathedral and river walk. Staff were helpful and welcoming and the bed comfortable and the room clean (except the windows). Facilities were adequate if in need of a refresh in places. Good to have parking on site at an extra charge of £10 per night. Rather disappointing that the restaurant is no longer open but we managed to find a good independent Italian restaurant (Valentinos) nearby among the many fast food outlets. Breakfast at the hotel was pricey at £15.00 a person. A word of warning: I recommend that you ask for a room at the rear of the building if staying on a Friday or Sat as there was a lot of noise from the road below from boy racers, shouty revellers and sirens which went on most of the night - such a shame that such a beautiful city is beset by these kind of things.

Location is fantastic being a minute walk from train station. Bed is comfortable and I slept very well. Bed light switch unfortunately doesn't work and you couldn't control lighting from lying on your bed. Breakfast was okay Reception area could do with some brighter furniture that uplifts, the brown leader seats and tables were quite uninspiring. Staff were VERY helpful and I loved the "Green program" in the rooms to reduce unnecessary waste.

Fantastic location, well kept beautiful property, and the staff were among the most helpful and friendly I have encountered. We will absolutely be staying here again. Oh and the breakfast was lovely.
