We didn't dine in the hotel, however there was a very nice breakfast option. The hotel was comfortable with lift access if you required it with your bags. There was a rooftop terrace. The staff at reception were always friendly and helpful.

Excellent, but quiet, location in heart of old town. Adjacent parking a real bonus although a challenge to actually access. Very characterful old property although some features were more cosmetic than practical. The roof terrace was beautiful just to sit and enjoy a drink overlooking the old town roofs. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Great location. Internal room I stayed in had no window, just one of those european light-wells from the roof.. s it was dark. On the upside it was very quiet. The hotel itself is sort of cute. Rooms are clean and basic. Staff was friendly and helpful. They rent bikes out for 10 euro day and you can cycle around town easily and along the coastal boardwalk.

This charming historic hotel was a great find in the city’s old town area. Nice lobby and breakfast area upon entry, great receptionists, decent size elevator (4-people with medium size luggage) and a relaxing rooftop terrace. Very centrally located for all the major sightseeing in Cadiz. The only minor issue was Parking which, even though they offer it with a Reservation, was impossible to locate due to narrow streets. My advice is to just park underground at Interparking Canalejas at entry to Cadiz and walk 5-mins.

This was a great little hotel, we would come back tomorrow! Our room was just lovely. Perfectly located for everything you need, but in a very quiet little street. Staff very helpful and unfussed. Lovely little sitting lounge on the ground floor with books to read (various languages). Fantastic old typesetting work table as an antique to look at. Soaps and shampoos were very nice, great shower, towels etc. Wifi and tv worked perfectly, little fridge in room. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was nice but could be a bit nicer: good coffee, lovely fresh orange juice, but would be better if the meat and cheese were separate (very unappealing for the vegetarians), self-service instead of pre-packed and so on. Very nice place for quiet getaway, highly recommended.

Lovely boutique hotel. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was great and started at 7am which was good for us. We parked our car in the larger underground car park rather than the hotel one after reading the reviews. 25 euros for 24 hours. No tea/coffee facilities in the room but you can ask for a drink which they can provide but you do pay for this

Don’t be fooled with a two star rating, the property was full of articles to please the eye at every turn. Very quiet, nice little rooftop patio. We choose the suite, it was very nice and came with it’s own private patio space. The staff although limited were very polite and there for help. Not the place if you are looking for a pool or spa but otherwise perfect, we definitely will be back.

They don’t provide food at the hotel but offers bottle of water and some sodas. Staff were very helpful and kind, their free coffee and tea station made our morning and evening comfort. Only thing I would point out was the necessity of thorough cleanness where under the bed and AC unit (black dusts or maybe mold were visible). Overall, the location was perfect and close to old/new town, easy to access all the stores and market around the Centro area. I can comfortably recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Nice property in the heart of town, housed in an old building with unique decor. Although the building is a little bit tired, it's really nicely kept maintained and very clean. Lift to take you on the higher flowers. The room we had was small but perfectly adequate for our 1-night stop. The staff was very friendly. We booked parking (only 4 spots so needs to be reserved ahead of time) next to the hotel for 16 EUR/night, which was quite handy.

This hotel is just lovely. Beautifully Spanish. Super clean, good size room and bathroom, great aircon, friendly staff, little bar on the ground floor to take drinks up to the lovely sun terrace. Breakfast was good. Croissants, fruit,coffee, ham & cheese delivered to the table. Cereals, breads and yogurts to help yourself. We changed to this hotel last minute and I’m very glad we did. Super central, 15 mins walk from train station. Shops, bars, restaurants everywhere. City beach was aprox 20 mins walk away. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The hotel was beautiful, clean with very friendly staff that were always there to help out and advise on the local area. The daily cleaning service was brilliant with the attentions to detail. The hotel was situated in a perfect place where it was central to all the shops and boutiques, fabulous restaurants and bars, taxi and bus services and historical sites. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again when I return to Cádiz, which I hope is soon. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to have the best of everything that is on their doorstep. The rooftop terrace was fabulous! A perfect place to start or finish the day with a refreshment.

The room had a bad smell, like bad ventilated with humidity. Had to open all windows and start air condition to improve the smell. My clothes caught a strong smell after being inside the wardrobe, not bad but strong, like spices or something. The air conditioning shows the temperature with very bright numbers that lit up the room at night and had to cover it with my shirt. Quite a calm area but you hear everything from the guest next door due to poor sound isolation.

All is well except when your room is in front of the street, you will be awaken in the middle of your sleep because people are loud late at night. Noise from people laughing and talking loud woke me up every night

Lovely old hotel, tucked away ina backstreet, but close to the harbour and the main part of town. Beautifully presented. We were in junior suite, Zenobia. It was large, full of character, with four windows, including two small balconies. Very memorable.There is also a comfy roof terrace. The downside? The air on unit was both too small to sufficiently cool the room, and it wasn’t as quiet as it should have been. Consequently, quality of sleep wasn’t good. If the windows were open, street noise disturbed sleep; if closed the room was too warm.

Hotel Argantonio was incredibly lovely. The staff are wonderful — friendly, informative, professional, and accommodating. The staff were quick to respond to some of our queries before we arrived. We booked Cadiz as a place to relax, unwind, and take it easy. Hotel Argantonio contributed to that goal in a big way. We were so relaxed at the end of our stay, we didn’t want to leave. Hotel Argantonio is close to the sights and the sounds of Cadiz without being right in the middle of the chaos of tourists and cruise ship passengers. It is a quiet, comfortable, and cool boutique hotel. It offers a continental breakfast, which we wish had taken advantage of earlier than our last morning — we could have avoided a couple of disappointing breakfasts that way. The coffees and juices were incredible. Check-in was easy. The front desk staff member made an incredible recommendation for dinner and gave us very clear directions to get there. We stayed in the suite — we highly recommend booking this room. If you want a quiet place to read, there’s a funky little space off the lobby with comfortable seating. If you forgot your book, there are plenty on the shelves. If you are able, take the stairs to and from your room when feasible — the tile work and the stairwell are worth the look. If the rooftop patio is open, take advantage of the fresh air and quiet. Should we have the good fortune to return to Cadiz, we will be booking with Hotel Argantonio again.

The staff were professional and helpful in very trying circumstances as we booked in on the day that Spain had a nationwide power outage. The hotel did all it could to keep us informed about the situation and pointed us in the direction of any bars open for food and drinks.

Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Cádiz direkt in der Nähe des Kreuzfahrtterminals. Man kann vom Hotel super die ganze Stadt zu Fuß erkunden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und es gab alles was man braucht. Als Parkplatz kann ich den direkt auf dem Hafengelände empfehlen, der kostet etwas über 9€ am Tag. Die Zufahrt ist vom Plaza de la Hispanidad (Kreisverkehr) möglich. Hinter dem Pförtner rechts.

The hotel had a perfect location for travelers visiting the old town of Cadiz. The staff were very friendly and serviceminded. As the hotel is rather small it had a cosy atmosphere and the breakfast was a positive experience with freshly squeezed juice, fruit, cereals and bread with ham spread, cheese and cold cuts.

The property was central to explore Cadiz. The breakfast room was excellent. The breakfast which was served to your table was perfect with a great selection of food, served with freshly squeezed orange juice and a choice of tea or coffee. The hotel had a lovely reception area with plenty of room to sit and enjoy a drink from the bar or you can have a hot drink to relax after a night out. The reception staff were exceptional to help with any questions etc. Overall a fantastic stay at this hotel.

An absolute gem of a hotel. Perfect location, central and able to explore the City comfortably. The hotel itself was amazing, a beautiful boutique hotel, breakfast was fantastic, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Has an amazing rooftop terrace too. Would definitely stay here again.
