Extremely friendly and helpfull staff and lovely food. Bus stop right outside with an hourly service. The hotel is in a countryside location.

Amazing hotel in every way. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was immaculate. Breakfast every morning was delicious with very polite staff. The heating and air conditioning worked really well in the room. We would definitely return here.

Excellent room - very friendly staff - restaurant was good both for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely stay there again on next visit to Guernsey.

A lovely rural hotel in the parish of St. Martin, about 10 minutes drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes from St. Peter Port. Located on narrow, winding roads, the hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the island. Reception is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, rooms are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms with walk-in shower are spotless. Efficient and capable staff freshen up the room each day. There is a pool and a large sitting area outside (but not in use due to inclement weather during our stay). As for clientele, La Barbarie appears to have a loyal following of older seniors who return annually. The hotel has ample parking and is serviced by a local bus that runs past the property.

We were fortunate to have an upgrade to the poolside rooms, which were lovely. The room and hotel were clean, the staff were friendly and courteous and the evening meal and breakfast for myself was perfect. My wife is a little picky so had to order off menu, but the staff tried to accommodate her request.
