Hotel was very clean, the staff was excellent. They had a full night before so when we arrived the room was not ready but the lady at the front desk figured it out for us and got us in a room! The room looked and felt great, it was clean! The only reason I gave it a 3 star is because 1. the hot tubs were not working or not on, we were really looking forward to that since it was advertised! and 2. the bed's had so many lumps in them like they were very old. Other than that, great stay!!

Got a large suite. No pillow or extra blankets for sofa bed, no kleenex in bathroom. Not worth the $$. Went down to use pool. Regular pool clean, ice cold. Smaller old hot tub inoperable, dirty. Average, below average breakfast. Parking lot very small, had to park on street at night after we got in late.

Itvwqs a great stay! The only reason it's not a 5 star is because the elevator was not working so had to haul all our stuff up and down the stairs. But other than that it was a great stay! Thank you!

The hotel smells bad, the laundry machine was not working, I spend a lot money to use the washer and dryer, I could not wash and dry my clothes. The rooms were clean but the hallway smell so bad. The pool was really good.

Generally a good value but many things were broken. The fold out sofa was broken, the air-conditioner was broken, the hot-tub was broken. Nevertheless, breakfast was good and our stay went well.

Okay, there was a bed, no roaches, and the location was great. So if hard pressed and I needed a place to sleep I could do this again. BUT 1) The elevator didn’t work on day one. It was fixed on day two but smelled like burning rubber…so stairs. 2) We went out to the hot tub and realized that the water was cold. The timer turned but didn’t seem to activate the spa. After a few minutes of trying the receptionist came out and told us a) the pool is closed (there was no sign indicating this…it was 2pm) and b) “That’s not a hot tub. It’s a miniature pool.” 😂 She was NOT MAKING A JOKE. I wish I had that moment on film. 3) minor perhaps but the coffee is so so so bad. Just bring your own coffee grounds if that sort of thing matters.

The room was fine, the common areas needed maintenance/cleaning. Strange odor and flies in the lobby, one exterior door did not latch to the pool and another had no closer. The spa did not work and the pool was cloudy. The breakfast bar was rather sparse, they were out of yogurt and the only hot item was scrambled eggs. They did have waffle batter. I would not recommend to a friends.

Simple and convenient. Room was quiet and clean with basic amenities. Quiet breakfast area (happily no incessant TV). Pool area looked nice but the hot tubs were not heated, perhaps because it was early spring…? BBQ area outside should be nice once they renovate, as staff mentioned.

Location was great for activities we were looking to do there, but the property was less than desirable. Staff wass super friendly, don't get me wrong. Breakfast was extremely limited. Floor always seemed dirty in the lobby and hallways. Even had dog pee for 2 straight days. Our room, the shades had spots and stains all over them, really gross. The a/c unit in the room was extremely noisey, hard to sleep. Overall, just not very good experience.

The toilet in our room was filthy- like someone had piled in it and not cleaned it up. The air conditioning didn’t work very well. There was a hole in the ceiling and clearly unrepaired water damage which made me concerned for mold. I am not even sure the beds were queen size because they didn’t seem to fit on their frames properly. The staff was dressed sloppily. Overall, would never stay here again.

The water tasted horrible, the water pressure was very low. Our towels had brown stains on them and our sheets and blankets were stained as well. The hotel as a whole was dirty. When we stepped into the elevator, it smelled and there were smudges and stains on the walls. We stayed here last year and I don’t remember it looking like this last year.

It was fine but will be our last stay there. The room was dirty, and we didn't get any tissues or hand soap. The shower curtain had mold and stains - as did the tub. Breakfast was dismal. The coffee was like water, and by 8am, selection was pretty limited on refrigerated items - only 1 yogurt left and some butter. The powdered eggs, sausage patties, and waffles were as expected (not good). There's no A/C in the stairwells, so they were hot. I can't imagine how hot they will be in summer, as it was only May. There are several similary-priced hotels in the area, so I will try one of those next time instead.

Elevator was slow and barely moving. Dirty floors in room and bathroom. Found a pill on the floor! Found chicken on the floor. Bathroom floor was dirty. A/C was dirty. I have pictures!! I’ll never stay at this property again and I’ll never recommend it to anyone!

The Beds were the only things clean in room they were also comfortable. I did not like that the room was dirty and so was hotel. Desk in room had drink stains I had to clean, shower curtain and shower had black mold, Floors throughout Hotel were very dirty everyday looking untouched we stayed 4 days. Elevator was all dirty walls to floor. They did not keep extra toilet paper in Restroom. We had to go down to ask for another then was given very thin paper that did not last ran out in the night.

Hotel was very clean, the staff was excellent. They had a full night before so when we arrived the room was not ready but the lady at the front desk figured it out for us and got us in a room! Room had a musty smell that hits you when you walk in but unfortunately you get used to. Obviously was a smoking room at one point. Carpet needs to be replaced and had stain. Noticed some rooms on the first floor had tile instead, hopefully they are in the process of replacing all carpet. Water had an odd smell and water pressure not great. Was not absolutely terrible but not the best hotel ever. Breakfast was eh. Pool was okay, kids loved it.

was disappointed the mattress was so bad I slept in a hole all night my husband back was terrible, the pillows were old even had a broken plastic trash can. the coffee pot didn’t work properly. I have to say the staff is great and its very clean

I would absolutely stay here again. The free breakfast saved money and made the children very happy. The property was clean and safe. The pool, hot tub, and gym were nice features to have and made our trip more enjoyable. The property is on the older side so there are a few rough edges but nothing out of control or dirty. What absolutely sets this property apart is the excellent service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit. If you need anything, ask them! They were wonderful.

The day shift worker was a terrible woman. I was never told that I need to toss my dirty towels out into the hallway to get more. Which first off is disgusting. She refused to give me anymore towels even after I tossed my dirty ones on the hallway floor. She said I only get as many towels as dirty ones on the hallway floor. She refused to give extra towels to a military man, and was extremely rude to him. It was terrible to watch. I’m half tempted to call the hotel and place a formal complaint.

Hotel was okay. Really poor breakfast. Installations were good but the front desk lady was really rude. She looked annoyed when we arrived. We arrived 20 minutes prior our check-in and her welcoming greeting was: well, your check-in is until 3:00 so maybe your room is not ready. We understand that but she could use a different tone. Later that day I asked for more towels since they left 4 and we are 5 people in our family, she told me that I need to return the used ones in order for her to give me more. Also, towels were poor quality. I asked for linens for the sofa-bed and she seemed annoyed again. She made us feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome there. Pool was okay. Front desk guy at check-out was more polite towards us.

Fast and friendly check in, clean and large room, great water pressure, nice breakfast, and felt very safe. I think the price was a bit high but I think it was also a busy weekend in town so might normally be a bit more budget-minded. Lobby was fun and decorated and the pool looked pretty and clean. Convenient to several venues and walkable to restaurants.

The location was convenient to Tarleton University. There were several restaurants nearby. However, our room's ac leaked water (condensation) so we had to put a towel down. My wife almost slipped on a very large puddle the first morning there. The room was comfortable however, the bathroom needed some repairs. There were gaps in the shower tile where it met with the bathroom wall. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.

This is a great location, especially close to Dinosaur Valley and Big Rocks Park. It's also within a 10-minute drive to David's grocery store. The AC was a bit beat up but worked fine, the ice machine was missing from our floor, and the guest laundry was not available. However, these things didn't change that the room was comfortable and clean and the service was great. It seems it was only one worker working the front desk and cleaning the pool but she was kind and friendly. I also wish the sitting area by the pool was better taken care of for everyone to enjoy, not just smokers. All in all, good location and would recommend. Just needs those improvements.

Overall the hotel it was good for the price. clean, friendly staff and good room. However, breakfast, we went at 8:50 and basically it was empty. We asked and the excuse was: they ran out of eggs. Really??? Management is supposed to plan and be prepared for these vacations/holidays days. If my rate includes breakfast, are you going to give us a credit? It nos not fair to pay, and do not receive what we paid. I hope someone will read this note. Thank you.

Loved staying here, will definitely return here for future vacays. Staff was awesome, everything was clean, room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was great, just get there early for best selection. Room service is on request, so be sure to pay attention to the staff on how it works when checking in. Very enjoyable hotel experience!
