We had a lovely one night stay at The Crutherland Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were spacious and met our needs. We had a good breakfast and the kids had a great time in the pool.

Nice hotel for business travel. A decent gym and pool that was never overly busy.

Its needs a refurbishment badly. In our room there was small holes in the curtains that let light in. Rm 119. No bar obvious, odd lay out, carpetted off room same for the restaurant. Food was okay for breakfast but poor evening meals. And very over priced. Under cooked pizza and over cooked burger. Desserts were good. Pool was good. However odd rule about bringing towels from room. Not explained until we got there. Grounds were ok. Small area for kids to play. Close to a nice park / zoo. Not informed by staff, no suggestions about park and ride for train. Very little gentle curiosity from staff. Out of the way so I presume main business is functions. Not a place I would stay again. Although it was in a location that was useful for getting to Glasgow for the common wealth games.
