Staff were amazing so friendly and happy in their work. Breakfast was the best ever esp. thanks to Marcella for wonderful scrambled eggs and my husband said largest best quality he had come across. Evening meals good also. Bar a bit lacking seeing as so far away from nearest pub 33 min walk along main road.

Restaurant was excellent both for dinner and breakfast.. staff were helpful, efficient , friendly and willing to adapt the menu if asked. The shower was difficult to control heat wise and bathroom was small. The room was adequate but has too much furniture in it that prevents it feeling spacious and one of the 4 posts on the bed partly obscured the TV and the TV reception was very poor. The outside seating for Blooms was great, including the bus!

Very cute hotel. Lovely decor and really very beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. However, we did need to ask for some things to be replenished at the cold buffet. Also, there was a bit of confusion about sitting outside and ordering, as I was told to order breakfast using the app from one member of staff, to then be told to order at the counter by another. The room was very hot - and much smaller than we expected for three people. We stayed during the May heat wave and there wasn’t a fan or air con in the room. Our room was at the front of the hotel and even with the windows open, it was still very uncomfortable to sleep. The road at the front of the hotel was very busy, even throughout the night, so we got a lot of road noise with the windows being open. If it hadn’t been so warm, we wouldn’t have had these issues. Lovely hotel and we’d come again, but maybe not during the hotter months.

What a great find at this lovely Victorian building! The staff, from check-in to restaurant and room change folks, were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed a Friday to Monday and read that there was no breakfast on Saturday and Sundays! We needn’t have worried as there was free breakfast included at the Blooms restaurant the hotel. My husband enjoyed a traditional breakfast but I tried out a few like the Green Breakfast that I’d highly recommend. It also had a full buffet. The clean and tidy room was a little compact so next time we will have a deluxe. There’s also a small fitness studio but we didn’t use that. The Blooms restaurant had a lovely ambience with flowers and blooms everywhere. Staff members were very friendly and you felt like you were with old friends. It’s also open to the public. Afternoon teas looked delicious and we had some of their cakes which were awesome! They have an area of the restaurant that is used for classes and there was an art class going on. We ate breakfast and an evening meal there which was scrumptious! My husband had the Lemon Confit Chicken leg with asparagus and roasted new potatoes. I had the Pulled Pork Focaccia Burger in sweet-chili and BBQ with rocket and pickled red onion with a side of coleslaw, potato salad and tzatziki dip. Absolutely delicious and I couldn’t finish mine as it was a large meal. I’d highly recommmend a stay here and there’s plenty of free parking.

We like to try and support independent establishments when booking our accommodation for business, but you do take a risk. With the corporates you kind of know what your getting. The Emsworth Hotel made this decision worthwhile. I would be so proud if this was my establishment, they have built a really special place. The staff are all caring and professional, the place is a nice place to be - well finished and tasteful. Bedrooms are well appointed, nicely decorated and clean. There are many thoughtful touches, such as drinks coolers in the corridors. There is plenty of parking. The onsite Restaurant offers well cooked, reasonably priced food in a nice setting.
