The 1st photo is misleading- its not the hotel! Its the golf club across the road. The hotel is in need of a lot of TLC. Its very outdated. The dinner at least was very good and the staff also. They are obviously doing their best with what they have. They are in a great situation but not making the most of it

We stayed in the Stotfield for 5 nights. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was consistently good. When we arrived our room was clean and the sheets were good quality. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. There is a fabulous hot water system - you can fill a bath very quickly. There was not a lot of storage in the room, and we were unable to unpack. However, we did have a table and chairs and the TV was a smart TV with access to all the various players. There is free wifi in the hotel and we were able to stream through the TV without a problem. There is no security on the wifi though so that limited our use. Any contact we had with staff was positive. During our stay the bin was emptied and the bath mat and tea and coffee refreshed but there was no evidence of a lot of cleaning - but then we were pretty tidy. The hotel is in an old building so there is no lift but we were offered help to take our bags up the stairs. There is parking at the hotel but not enough for everyone, however, it wasn't a problem to park on nearby streets. We had a great sea view from our window, the hotel is in a beautiful spot. The hotel itself was very tired, we had mobility problems and couldn't get into the over bath shower. However, the staff were very quick to find us a room with a walk in shower. The staff were very friendly and were always very quick to resolve any issues we had. One they couldn't resolve however was the 3 flights of stairs to the bedrooms, which were an issue for us with osteoarthritis.
The hotel itself was very tired, we had mobility problems and couldn't get into the over bath shower. However, the staff were very quick to find us a room with a walk in shower. The staff were very friendly and were always very quick to resolve any issues we had. I liked the size of the room and the sea View we say from the 3 windows. it was.nice and peaceful. There is a bus that takes you into Elgin but we never used it this time. The Staff was very good. What I didn’t like was the room was in the top Floor and there was no lift. I forgot to ask for a room further down as I have difficulty getting up stairs.

The room was clean however their was no lock on the bathroom door and the hot water took ages to come through .Not enough tea bags in the room and no biscuits or shortbread. Limited parking for the size of hotel and no lift.

The condition of the place wasn't really good. No soap in our bedroom, the sink was broken and there was dust and mold around the bath. Many things were aboit to give up in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable enough. The location was really nice by the west beach and breakfast was good.

Bathroom dirty (bath drain & toilet seat), grubby skirting and carpet edges, tired decor and aging finishings. Apart from our welcome receptionist, staff were uninterested and even with half an hour left of breakfast, seemed less than pleased that we’d turned up. For 2 nights, we just put up with it but really wished we had stuck with our original choice of AirB&B. Such a shame when, 30 years ago, this was the go to Lossie hotel.

A stout building of local stone around 100 years old but reasonably well maintained and exceeding the excellent budget price expectations. Staff friendly and helpful, public areas clean and comfy. Room large for standard twin and great view of bowling green. Food good in the evening and breakfast. Well worth the money and a good night’s sleep, just what a hotel is for!

check in was good and easy , staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very old with a musky smell. the shower was either ice cold or scorching. everytime someone walked in the room above it felt like they were coming through the ceiling .

Nice overnight stay at Stotfield. Room with a Seaview . Should give these rooms a good makeover and you would get a premium price. Clean and Comfortable . Evening meal was very well presented and tasty. Breakfast good but best to use local butcher for sausages !!!! Staff were attentive and courteous . Would certainly stay again.

A conveniently located place in Lossiemouth. The hotel has some age to it but it was clean and it served the need we had which was a stay for one night. Breakfast was ok. Lovely view from the restaurant. Friendly staff!

We stayed in the Stotfield for 5 nights. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was consistently good. When we arrived our room was clean and the sheets were good quality. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. There is a fabulous hot water system - you can fill a bath very quickly. There was not a lot of storage in the room, and we were unable to unpack. However, we did have a table and chairs and the TV was a smart TV with access to all the various players. There is free wifi in the hotel and we were able to stream through the TV without a problem. There is no security on the wifi though so that limited our use. Any contact we had with staff was positive. During our stay the bin was emptied and the bath mat and tea and coffee refreshed but there was no evidence of a lot of cleaning - but then we were pretty tidy. The hotel is in an old building so there is no lift but we were offered help to take our bags up the stairs. There is parking at the hotel but not enough for everyone, however, it wasn't a problem to park on nearby streets. We had a great sea view from our window, the hotel is in a beautiful spot. It is about 15 minutes walk to the main area for shops and restaurants. If you wanted to golf, the course is directly across the road.

The room was dirty. The cups were dirty when we arrived. Looked like coffee on the ceiling. You could hear every single person open/close their doors. It was close to walk to the beach and shops which was nice

A conveniently located place in Lossiemouth. The hotel has some age to it but it was clean and it served the need we had which was a stay for one night. Breakfast was ok. Lovely view from the restaurant. Friendly staff!

Great location with a beautiful ocean view from the dining room. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We liked the bar and cocktail lounge area. Beautiful sights were in driving distance.

The 1st photo is misleading- its not the hotel! Its the golf club across the road. The hotel is in need of a lot of TLC. Its very outdated. The dinner at least was very good and the staff also. They are obviously doing their best with what they have. They are in a great situation but not making the most of it

Stayed one night, room was comfortable but small with a tiny bathroom. Quick walk to the beach near the RAF base, dinner was nice but pricey compared to the local area. Parking is at a premium in front of the hotel so check in early as it fills up

Another nice stay at Stotfield Hotel with a sea view room overlooking the Moray Firth .Staff are amazingly friendly . Good choice of meal in the evening . Breakfast was good but they should get a better quality sausage . Room was clean and comfortable but as mentioned before you could get a better rate if room was upgraded You have a spectacular view . Overall would recommend to others .

A stout building of local stone around 100 years old but reasonably well maintained and exceeding the excellent budget price expectations. Staff friendly and helpful, public areas clean and comfy. Room large for standard twin and great view of bowling green. Food good in the evening and breakfast. Well worth the money and a good night’s sleep, just what a hotel is for!

Nice overnight stay at Stotfield. Room with a Seaview . Should give these rooms a good makeover and you would get a premium price. Clean and Comfortable . Evening meal was very well presented and tasty. Breakfast good but best to use local butcher for sausages !!!! Staff were attentive and courteous . Would certainly stay again.

We booked this hotel for one night after looking at reviews which were good but either these are false reviews or there standards are different from ours . Hotel was terrible in poor state of repair and some were dangerous like carpet runner as you go into dining room which was sticking up definitely a trip hazard there was black growth mould in bathroom . Breakfast was average at best with poor quality ingredients so this is one hotel that I will definitely avoid

Lovely location overlooking the coast, inside was charming although a little dated but with a bit of investment could be stunning. Booked a room with sea view and wasn’t disappointed, room furniture old but functional, bed was clean and comfortable. Main road directly outside but very little to no noise. The bathroom looked as though it had been modernised but was let down by a hole in the wall panelling and one side of the towel rail hanging off the wall. Breakfast offerings pretty standard, cooked items of bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, hash browns, mushrooms etc, cereals, yoghurt, juices and hot drinks. For a Saturday night / Sunday morning the hotel appeared quiet with only eight other people in the breakfast area. As we were there for only one night it was just a place to sleep really so can’t be overly critical. Lastly, the staff we encountered were all courteous, pleasant, and polite.
