Stayed here a few times. Usually a quick and friendly check in, was a bit slow this time. Would have been good to know adding spa access was only from check until midday on check-out day before booking. Also, that Mondays a ‘bring your baby to pool day’. The first day we spent a couple of hours in the spa and it was so busy we could only use the pool. The second day was baby day and the hot-tub jacuzzi was broken. So, didn’t feel like the extra for the spa was worth it this time round.

Very comfortable lodge, in a quiet area. Staff were polite, respectful and extremely helpful from the start to end. Only a few minutes walk into the main street of Betws-y-Coed where the shops and places to eat are. We also made use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi available, which were clean. Breakfast could do with a bigger variety of food but still alright. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is very expensive though!

Lovely property with very friendly and helpful staff. Big relaxing and inviting bar area. The pool area was ok, the hot tub was warm not hot but still relaxing after a long hike. Not a place where you can rest on lounge chairs but if you wanted to swim, sauna, steam room then perfect. Stayed in a lodge room which was the best choice, very quiet and view to greenery and trees. Room and bathroom very spacious. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely break in one of the lodges. The food in the restaurant was some of the best food we've ever tasted and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Some aspects of the hotel and leisure centre look tired such as the handle bars near the steps of the top part of the pool are very loose, rust around the taps in the lodge, some chairs in the hotel restaurant could do with being replaced. Having said this it didn't take anything away from the wonderful time we had. After climbing a mountain we really appreciated the fantastic jacuzzi, exceptionally comfy bed and warm, powerful shower. The staff are very friendly and attentive to guests needs, providing ice cold water for the rooms due to a heatwave. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed in one if the chalets amd were really impressed. Therebwere two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, plenty of seating downstairs, along with a dining area and another bedroom. The staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The pool and leisure centre were great and we made use of them. We will definitley stay here again.

Myself and my partner stayed here for two nights towards the end of November. We stayed in one of the lodges behind the hotel's main building. The room was clean, and had everything we needed. There was additionally plenty of parking spaces available. During our stay we also visited the spa area and used the facilities - would definitely recommend, especially in the cold weather. The breakfast was freshly cooked, and had everything you needed. We will definitely be staying again in the future and recommending to friends - thank you.

Everything was good, staff were fabulous, hotel was clean, only thing for me was that we were at the front and had the window open because it was very warm and the noise of traffic was terrible. Very very noisy road and fast speeding cars etc all night. Im a good sleeper but was awoke quite a few times by noisy traffic. I was hoping for the noise from owls or foxes haha . If i was to stay again i would ask for a room at the back ?

Great location. 10min walk into Betws-y-coed. Loads of parking at the hotel. We stayed in a Delux Double room which had recently been renovatated and it was beautiful with a huge comfy bed, a sofa, a modern bathroom, separate free standing bath in the bedroom plus a outside seating area. The bath was ideal to relax in after a day exploring. Our only issue was finding a large clump of hair on the bathroom floor which the cleaners must have missed. Not a major problem, we simply picked it up with a tissue and binned it... but not great! The hotel also has a pool and gym, but we didn't use these. From the outside, the hotel overall looks tired and dated. But if you book a renovated room, you can't go wrong. We would stay again.

Great for overnight stay after a hiking trip. Comfy and spacious Lodge, reaturant and bar for convenience ( not used pool or breakfast- for an extra pay). Hotel is lovely, receptionist could have been more friendly when we first arrived. A smile goes a long way. A toilet brush in the bathroom would have been nice. Lovely breakfast.

Really nice hotel with lovely reception and restaurant staff. Lovely, clean comfortable room, the only downside is there were toilets next to our room so every time somebody used the hand dryer we had a lot of noise. Bathroom was small but very clean. Will definitely stay again

The mattress felt like it should have been replaced many years ago, you could feel in-prints of where people have previously slept, and felt like the hotel new this as there was a duvet under the bedsheet to try and hide this. Food was very nice, and the bathroom was very nice too - giving us inspiration on how to decorate our bathroom at home. The main issue was the lack of comfort in the bed.

Our so-called Luxury twin room lodge was surprisingly shabby and in need of renovation. Considering we were charged over £200/night I feel robbed! Everything at the hotel is outdated and not well kept. The grounds need smartening up and the exteriors of the lodges should have been painted 2 years ago. Our bathroom was tiny and outdated with a dirty shower curtain. The towels were old and small. The bathroom window though frosted only had a net up. I’m sure upper bodies are visible, privacy issue. Hard to read the radiator valve settings as they were paint splashed (but not recent paint!) Pool complex staff were friendly but the place could do with a facelift. Restaurant menu quite limited. Food adequate but nothing special. Lodge windows running within condensation even after using bathroom extractor and opening windows. Felt a bit damp and run down. Location was convenient for us but our luxury lodge lacked creature comforts and any charm, so didn’t feel like a great location for couples long weekend away.

Parking was good staff were helpfull. Room wasn’t a deluxe lodge as stated very over due a make over and it was 2 single beds put together which I find wrong when stated it’s a double room!

got a room next to the public toilet , I heard everyone flushing all the time . The receptionist who received me was unfriendly . I travelled alone for a workshop and when booked a restaurant I was hidden in the corner at a small table .. was it because as a woman I was alone ? I taught it was strange . will not book this hotel again.

Booked 4 nights but bed was to hard for my back, was upgraded free of charge to a superior room by lowri who was amazing throughout our stay and made us feel special, also a shout out to Justine in the restaurant who saved our special table every night and was just lovely and helpful in choosing the right meal for dinner, which was lovely every night, breakfast was amazing and plentiful and the pool and steam room were a lovely end to all our evenings, thanks guys x

Check in was fine so was the room though it is old - long time since had a 14inch tv screen - but clean and comfortable. It was the breakfast that let it down. The buffet was laughable, the older lady who served us was very grumpy and the english was the absolute minimum to call it an english breakfast - though did have magnificent poached egg!

Lovely stay, very convenient location- little stores and places to walk nearby but also close enough to travel to Snowdon etc. Staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them and it was a nice, clean and relaxed place to stay for what we needed. It was also nice to be able to use the pool as we arrived early and our room wasn’t quite ready. Didn’t eat there in the evening but the breakfast offering was plenty to load us up before trekking up Snowdon early.

We stayed here as a group of 7 for a hiking weekend in Eryri/Snowdonia. The rooms, service and cleanliness were all good, the staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely located on the edge of Betws Y Coed, but all the shops, restaurants and pubs are only a few minutes walk away.

Lovely hotel situated in the gateway to Snowdonia, Betws-y-coed. We were in one of the 'lodges' and I can't fault it. Easy parking (motel style), comfortable room and excellent bathroom. Hotel facilities were easy to access and good quality.

Great location. 10min walk into Betws-y-coed. Loads of parking at the hotel. We stayed in a Delux Double room which had recently been renovatated and it was beautiful with a huge comfy bed, a sofa, a modern bathroom, separate free standing bath in the bedroom plus a outside seating area. The bath was ideal to relax in after a day exploring. Our only issue was finding a large clump of hair on the bathroom floor which the cleaners must have missed. Not a major problem, we simply picked it up with a tissue and binned it... but not great! The hotel also has a pool and gym, but we didn't use these. From the outside, the hotel overall looks tired and dated. But if you book a renovated room, you can't go wrong. We would stay again.

I’ve used the Waterloo Hotel a few times over the years. I’ve never had a bad experience or found anything to complain about. It’s warm, comfortable and the staff are friendly. It’s also perfectly located to explore Eryri/Snowdonia.

The room we stayed in was a superior double, which from the outside doesn’t look great, but inside was very nice, big and comfortable, with a nice outside space. Bed was very comfortable and shower was great. Service from the staff was excellent apart from the food, which was dreadful. We booked an evening meal, and the menu was disappointing, limited and expensive. We ordered pasta and pizza plus starters. They had no pasta so offered rice. The pizza was very undercooked, so couldn’t eat it. There wasn’t anyone but us in the restaurant and it felt everything was rushed. We weren’t looking forward to breakfast after the previous meal, but as we had paid, we decided to give it a go but again, it was dreadful. The produce was really poor and the food was like rubber. Overall, staff were lovely and the place is really nice, including the spa, which was fab, but the food really let it down for us, sadly.

After spending over £500 on our special weekend away. The front door was broken and very heavy to pull open and walk through the room was nice well presented but I was very disappointed on the restaurant on our room card and on checking in it stipulated food was served until 20:30 we turned up at 8 only to be told they had changed the times the week before did show them our room card but it was out of their hands so we had to have a taxi into the town. Overall for the price very disappointing.

Only a few minutes walk into the main street of Betws-y-Coed where the shops and places to eat are. We also made use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi available, which were clean. Breakfast could do with a bigger variety of food but still alright. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is very expensive though!

We had a lovely break in one of the lodges. The food in the restaurant was some of the best food we've ever tasted and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Some aspects of the hotel and leisure centre look tired such as the handle bars near the steps of the top part of the pool are very loose, rust around the taps in the lodge, some chairs in the hotel restaurant could do with being replaced. Having said this it didn't take anything away from the wonderful time we had. After climbing a mountain we really appreciated the fantastic jacuzzi, exceptionally comfy bed and warm, powerful shower. The staff are very friendly and attentive to guests needs, providing ice cold water for the rooms due to a heatwave. We would stay here again without hesitation.

The only comment is the TV in the room wasn't easy to use , having to score through many channels trying each one to see what programme was available. If the remote can be set to show programme guide instead of station guide that would be helpful. We gave up !! Also the bar menu was adequate , however we went into the restaurant side to experience the dining offer in there only to be told it was the same limited menu as the bar, that was disappointing
