Great hotel Great staff Great food Plenty of free parking. Room was very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Had breakfast and this was V good. Would / will stay here again. Would highly recommend.

Just an amazing gem, the property itself is an amazing estate with great staff and food - with the feel of a small boutique manor, it offers a nice luxurious retreat at a reasonable price, it was the highlight stay of our 16 day trip around the UK.

Lovely stay in room number 5. Nicely decorated and very clean. Food was wholesome and freshly cooked, loved that the local food suppliers are listed in the menu. Really nice grounds, pretty views when sitting outside for drinks. Overall a fab find and would definitely return.

Hotel is in a beautiful setting. Just off the busy A6 but you wouldn’t believe it. Lovely gardens, every member of staff friendly, polite and looking to help you. Clearly training staff is key here. Room lovely, spacious and relaxing.

The staff were lovely , very obliging and professional. We had a very nice bedroom very clean, just too many steps for my husband, however the young man on the desk when we arrived carried up our case, which we were very grateful for . The food in the restaurant was excellent really enjoyed breakfast , the whole hotel was very clean, set in beautiful gardens

Brilliant location. Not too happy. Checked in after 4. Corridors still had bags of laundry everywhere. Tray of dirty cups outside our room. Lots of rooms still being serviced so late in the afternoon. Which I find rather disruptive. Driveway up to hotel in such a bad state of repair.

The room was large and very comfortable with mix of modern and traditional to suit the old building. The bathroom was spotless and beautiful. We had to be out before breakfast normal serving time. The staff were amazing and spoke to the chef who allowed us to have an earlier breakfast. The porridge was delicious and creamy best I can remember.

This was a gem of a property for us. It was squeaky clean. ( i am a tiddly bit Ocd) Ample of parking space. Excellent breakfast choices. Specially us bring vegetarians. The owner, Sharon, was amazingly friendly and helpful, and very warm. Made us feel very welcome and at home. Would recommend it to any one any time. Yhank you team Sharon !

The staff were fabulous from first greeting, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I stayed for 3 nights, room was excellent, clean and with good amenities. Food quality of breakfast and dinner was first class, good choice and cooked to order. Portion sizes were huge! Despite being here on business the hotel is well placed and very relaxing. Overall excellent thank you!

The hotel was lovely, an older building but modern decor, very large comfy bed. Really lovely attentive staff. Breakfast was great, nice and fresh and good quality. 3 minute drive into matlock bath (20 min walk). TV decided to turn on by jtself around midnight which gave us a scare 😱. Skirting boards and bedside lamps were dusty (only noticed this as we had them on rather than the 'big light') but this is the only thing i have to say on the down side. Would definatley stay again.

Quiet and beautiful setting within easy walking distance of Cromford and it's canal. Great to have pitches with electric hook ups for motorhomes etc so we could meet up with friends who were camping. Have syaed here before, the rooms are newly renovated and clean, however this time the room is less spacious than our last room. Would definitely stay again

Lovely large room but spoiled a bit by being woken at 5.20am by the refuse collection service. The room had a bath but no proper shower which made washing hair a challenge. Bed was comfy but squeaky. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Dinner was delicious.

Loved this inn! Will probably return to Derbyshire just to stay here. It was a large comfortable room (very comfortable bed!) with a claw foot tub. The food was gourmet, and the setting was idyllic. I oogled over the gardens, and enjoyed the cows in the neighbouring field.

The hotel staff were great. The evening meal was very good - also really enjoyed walking around the grounds before dinner and drinks in the sunshine in the garden. Hotel room was excellently fitted and wonderfully spacious. Only issue is that it was at the top of the main stairs and close to the kitchen/wash below it. This meant there was some noise fairly early in the morning and later in the evening.

A wide range of menu items is available in the main restaurant and the bar to suit every palate. Smart, boutique hotel with well kept gardens, easy parking and only 5 mins walk from Cromford centre. Excellent room, bathroom with plush fittings and huge shower, perfectly cooked breakfast. We will be returning.

The hotel is lovely, beautiful setting, super friendly staff and both breakfast and dinner were great. We will be back! Only thing to improve are the pillows, they seemed a bit old and too hard. The hotel is walking distance to train station, very handy to see the area without the hassle to park car (like Matlock Bath or Matlock).

A lovely hotel with a great restaurant and very friendly, helpful staff, stayed for one night but could have stayed the week. The room was very comfortable with a huge shower. Dinner was superb and the Almond Apple strudel was to die for (all their deserts are home made) well stocked bar and a really varied choice on the evening menu.
