The area is very central. Walking distance from famous museums. But the property is not in a good condition. Elevator not working all the time. Not all floors accessible by elevator. Bad quality towels and linen. Over all an unsatisfactory experience.

Nous n'avons pas pris les petits dej. Hotel sympa deco jolie et stylée . Par contre manque rangement dans sdb, une lampe chevet qui ne fonctionnait pas... Micro Assenceur pour 1 pers jusqu'au 2eme et acces au 3eme par escalier . Hotel idealement situé proche transport et proche centre ville . Nous avons tout fait a pieds . Service parking vouturier : certe tres cher mais un chauffeur vient vous prendre la voiture et vous la ramene en fin de sejour . Possibilite de parking relai extérieur de ville . Tres bon sejour et rapport qualite prix honnête

Staff is always lovely and hotel is cute and convenient. I do recommend you stay at a different Hotel V during high temps. There's no AC, at least in the standard rooms.

loved the location as its easy to trams and metro, the hotel lobby lounge area is chic and allows room to relax and chill as well for business work. Just the price is a little high during exhibition time, 400 usd per nt. for a pretty small double room.

Ligger centralt vilket är skönt om man som vi gillar att kunna promenera till olika ställen. Även spårvagnen går just utanför. Dock otroligt varmt då varmvattenrören gick just under rummet. Fanns en fläkt som hjälpte lite, toaletten var ännu varmare och värmen där gick inte att göra något åt. Upptäckte dag 3 när jag skulle kolla efter en sko under sängen att det låg en skräphög där och oätna kakor vid fönstret. Påtalade det och skräpet under sängen blev bortstädat men inte det vid fönstret så det fick jag städa bort själv. Bra service och trevlig personal men minus fick just städningen och värmen i rummet.

I’ve stayed at this hotel four times now, and unfortunately each stay has been worse than the last. I’ve tried all room types, and strangely the more expensive the room, the poorer the experience. Most recently, we stayed in the loft, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned or properly turned over. The room was dusty, poorly maintained, and the kitchenette was dirty. The fridge smelled and hadn’t been cleaned at all. We had to request housekeeping to come back and re-clean several areas. While they did what they could, the room still wasn’t at an acceptable standard. On our second night, we kept hearing noises and eventually discovered a mouse running through the room. We had to leave at 2 a.m. to switch rooms. When we informed the night receptionist, his response was, “What do you want me to do, its Amsterdam” accompanied by a smirk. He did move us after we insisted on not returning to the loft, but the room we were given was also dusty and poorly maintained. Sadly, this seems to be the direction the hotel is heading. My stay in August was already showing similar issues, minus the mouse and overall the standards have dropped significantly over the past year. I was a big fan of this hotel and have made several recommendations after this stay I will not be returning. In conclusion I would recommend you stay in a bigger chain hotel who maintain cleaning standards and don’t use the excuse of mice in the city to excuse mice in your room.

In der Fensterrinne lagen zudem Zigarettenstummel und Snus – sicher nicht die Schuld vom Hotel, aber dennoch wäre eine Reinigung wünschenswert. Als Tipp: Die Fenster könnten regelmäßig kontrolliert werden, und Zimmer 302 würde sich über eine kleine Auffrischung freuen. Das Personal war jederzeit super nett und sehr hilfsbereit – vielen Dank dafür! (Tages Trip) Nicht lang im Zimmer gewesen! Wollten keine umstände machen aber als Hinweis.

It was a very convenient location. However, that is the only real selling point. The room was small, dingy and stuffy. The bathroom had limited circulation so smelt poor. Also, and whilst not the hotels problem per se, the people upstairs were incredibly loud in the early hours (e.g. 2pm) of the morning - thumping around and what sounded like moving furniture. I complained to the front desk who did not appear to be willing to act upon the issue. I would not stay again unfortunately.

When we arrived we got to store our luggage which was really helpful as we arrived at 11:00am and check in wasn’t until 3pm. However 3pm came and the room wasn’t ready, in fact every guest in the lobby more than 5 groups were waiting to check in and we were all told the rooms were waiting inspection. 15 minutes later we checked in, you’d expect the room to be spotless considering it’s just been inspected however it wasn’t the cleanest - clean enough but you’d expect better for the money you pay. Day 2 came and you kind of expect housekeeping everyday especially when the room service tag only has the options of ‘don’t clean my room’ and ‘not yet to clean my room’ so we didn’t leave one out - we came back and the bed hadn’t been changed / made and we had left the towels on the wet floor (bathroom was a wet room) expecting them to be changed as per the instructions in the bathroom / new towels however nobody had been to service the room so we had to go down and ask. Again day 3 the room was cleaned and bed made / clean towels however no top up of toilet rolls or milk & sugar. We also started to smell a drainage smell in the bathroom on this day we was checking out early the following day so kept the bathroom door closed. Overall it was OK, great location the staff were quick to help when we did complain however for the price you expect much better, the overall cleanliness of the building is outstanding. Wouldn’t really want to stay again.

While the location and was good, the “upgrade” room was overall a bit dingy-and, quite frankly-the two twin beds that were pushed together to make a double was completely unsleepable. Add in that I could not get housekeeping to service room for over two days and it just wasn’t worth it. Too many other options out there.

The location is great, walking distance to attractions and also very close to public transportation. However, for the price, I was expecting more. The room was tiny and the building is old. Also, the room was scruffy. I had to sleep with my earplugs on and the room temperature was not even (cold at night and hot during day time). This is more like budget hotel, but the price was not...

Die Lage des Hotels ist zentral und gut, die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer allerdings sind sehr sehr klein, für 2 Koffer war kaum Platz und im Badezimmer konnte man sich kaum um die eigene Achse drehen. Außerdem waren die Zimmer schon wirklich in die Jahre gekommen und die Einrichtung veraltet.

Great location but will not be returning. The first room I was checked into was the size of a shoe box. Also found more than 3 bugs in less than 3 minutes. The front desk told me it’s normal to have spiders because of the canals.I was so upset because I specifically decided to pay more for a hotel to not have these issues. Regardless due to their cancellation policy we had no choice but to stay. They gave us a different room which was decent. But no a/c and tiny beds to keep this in mind when booking.

I really loved the property and the location. The staff was amazing. No, was never the answer. Samatha, Katrina and Rodrico is the staff that can make any hotel stay a home. They should all be promoted. I will be staying again very soon

Upon arrival, I was given a room on the third floor without an elevator. I explained that I couldn't go up or down stairs, and they kindly moved me to a room on the second floor with an elevator. This room is very spacious and bright, with large windows and a balcony. Perfect. I loved it. All the staff were very kind and friendly, helping me whenever I needed it. The lobby is very spacious, comfortable and cozy, and one can spend a pleasant time there. The hotel is very well located and very well connected. The only thing that wasn't optimal was the room cleanliness. It seemed like they only made the bed and didn't clean anything. In fact, they left the already dirty glasses and wet and used towels without replacing them with clean ones. Another thing that wasn't right was that the desk lamp, coffee maker, and kettle had any place to plug, so I couldn't use them. But the bathroom hygiene products, such as shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, shower gel, and body moisturizer, are of excellent quality. Only the toilet paper wasn't up to the same standard. Despite the inconveniences I mentioned, I plan to return to that hotel with my family because I believe those problems can be resolved by talking to the front desk staff. They are all lovely, I really liked them and I loved the hotel. I had a wonderful time there and I felt safe and at home.

Room is small. Located in a quieter area of Amsterdam but central area of the city easily available by tram located in front of building. Service by nighttime desk was just horrible. They were not willing to do anything for the customer. Heard them tell a customer they couldn’t call a taxi for them. At check out we had to awaken the front desk clerk who was sleeping with his feet on desk wearing a robe. Bed has a metal bed box spring with an uncomfortable mattress. Water stains on ceiling. The employee who checked us in not very knowledgeable and he did not seem very engaged, e.g. he suggested to move our room so we could use the lift as we had a young baby. Immediately after the change was made he told us our pram wouldnt fit in the lift and we probably needed to leave it downstairs. We were originally in a first floor room and would now be in a second floor room. This seemed like an complete waste of time and the room we ended up in did not feel like the advertised 16sqm (probably because of the weird shape to the room). We also dis not feel comfortable to use the advertised parking as the employee couldn't tell us anything about where our car would be taken. Overall, this hotel is only a step up from a hostel and that is the 'vibe' you get when you arrive. I wouldn't choose to stay here again as a family.

When we arrived we got to store our luggage which was really helpful as we arrived at 11:00am and check in wasn’t until 3pm. However 3pm came and the room wasn’t ready, in fact every guest in the lobby more than 5 groups were waiting to check in and we were all told the rooms were waiting inspection. 15 minutes later we checked in, you’d expect the room to be spotless considering it’s just been inspected however it wasn’t the cleanest - clean enough but you’d expect better for the money you pay. Day 2 came and you kind of expect housekeeping everyday especially when the room service tag only has the options of ‘don’t clean my room’ and ‘not yet to clean my room’ so we didn’t leave one out - we came back and the bed hadn’t been changed / made and we had left the towels on the wet floor (bathroom was a wet room) expecting them to be changed as per the instructions in the bathroom / new towels however nobody had been to service the room so we had to go down and ask. Again day 3 the room was cleaned and bed made / clean towels however no top up of toilet rolls or milk & sugar. We also started to smell a drainage smell in the bathroom on this day we was checking out early the following day so kept the bathroom door closed. Overall it was OK, great location the staff were quick to help when we did complain however for the price you expect much better, the overall cleanliness of the building is outstanding. Wouldn’t really want to stay again.

Nous n'avons pas pris les petits dej. Hotel sympa deco jolie et stylée . Par contre manque rangement dans sdb, une lampe chevet qui ne fonctionnait pas... Micro Assenceur pour 1 pers jusqu'au 2eme et acces au 3eme par escalier . Hotel idealement situé proche transport et proche centre ville . Nous avons tout fait a pieds . Service parking vouturier : certe tres cher mais un chauffeur vient vous prendre la voiture et vous la ramene en fin de sejour . Possibilite de parking relai extérieur de ville . Tres bon sejour et rapport qualite prix honnête

Hotel V was a great location for our weekend break in AMS. Located right by a stop on the tram line (4), and only 5 stops/10 mins or so by tram to Centraal. If you prefer to walk, it is only a 25 minute stroll up to Rembrantsplein, Prinsengracht etc. where there are so many nice places to eat and drink by a canal. If you venture a block or so south of the hotel you reach the Albert Cuyp outdoor market with lots of stall of clothing and a mouthwatering array of different street foods (go to Rudi's Stroopwaffels) Walkable also to to the Heineken Experience, and the Rijksmuseeum. The hotel itself is nice, our room (308 on 2nd floor) was a little small, but had a huge bed, a walk in dressing room, and a small but useable shower room. The Lobby bar was a good place to sit and chill but with so many bars in the area it was not a surprise that few residents seemed to stay there for a drink. Breakfast is served in the Lobby Bar, and it was always buzzing. The breakfast looked super nice. Whatever you are staying in Amsterdam for, I would for sure recommend this hotel as it is perfectly fine and incredibly well located on the tram network. Fredericksplein is a pretty quiet area, and we had zero problems walking around even late at night. This was a super place to use as a comfortable base for our weekend break in AMS.

This is an older, very basic hotel, but in expensive Amsterdam, a reasonable price for what it is. The room was clean and adequate and the staff were responsive to deal with issues such as the bathroom sink draining sluggishly and problems with the room safe. Good location for restaurants, shopping, near museum quarter, with a trolley line right in front.

Pænt, velholdt hotel med en god placering ift diverse seværdigheder. Yderst venligt personale og fint værelse med behagelig seng. Boede i baghuset og der var derfor ingen støj fra vejen selv med åbent vindue. En elkedel på værelset kunne dog være en rar tilføjelse. Havde tilkøbt morgenmad, og selv om der i min bekræftelse står at det er buffet, er det desværre anrettet, hvilket var skuffende. Der er ikke noget at udsætte på kvaliten, men hvis man ønsker større udvalg og helst selv vil vælge hvad man vil spise, så vil jeg anbefale at man finder morgenmaden andetsteds.

I’ve previously stayed at Hotel V Nesplein, which was a terrific experience. So when I saw that I could find the same chain quite reasonable (booked quite late), I jumped on it immediately. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, we felt disappointed. Check in was late, and it felt like cleaning was rushed. The main lamp (over the bed) flickers, and was an annoyance all 3 nights (need to have it on in the night). We mentioned this the first day, hoping that it would be resolved, which it wasn’t. One of the two lamps over the headboard was also broken, but this one they fixed. We bought breakfast 1 day, and we are really happy we didn’t order it for each day. They also charged us too much for this, but got refunded the amount after pointing it out. The breakfast is basically a couple of dry bread rolls, some different slices of ham/salami, two different cheeses and dispenser yam/peanut butter/chocolate spreads. There was a casserole with scrambled eggs, but this tasted horrible. My daughter loves scrambled eggs, but after one taste she pushed the plate away. The room looks ready to renovated, and they really need to prioritize cleaning a little better. Positives: -location, walkable to most places, nice area -tram stop just outside, metro is 5-8 minute walk -Albert Hein just outside metro -23 minutes with uber to Schiphol Negatives: -cleanliness -no fridge in room -need refurbishment -keyhole cover missing -small towls -breakfast(go to a cafe instead)

The hotel is in a great location close to the trams. Rooms are clean but very small. There is a self service breakfast for an additional fee of 17 Euros. Lots of pastries, fruit, meat, cheeses, and scrambled eggs. Chef who served breakfast was not friendly, maybe because the hotel seems short staffed. One day I arrived one hour before breakfast ends, they were out of scrambled eggs and was told he wouldn’t make any more. Overall ok.

This hotel was lovely! Very modern and chic. We were there for one night and it was perfect. It was a little outside of city center but not far at all. The uber was only a couple eur. I will say, there is no elevator and the stairs are VERY steep, so be careful. They also do not have air conditioning but it is cool enough at night that there was no need for it. We purchased the breakfast in the morning and it was delicious and served in a very cute way. Over loved our stay.

Excelente estadia. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo funcionário Simone. Sempre nos atendeu com gentileza, simpatia e ajudou em tudo que foi necessário, assim como os outros funcionários, sempre prontos a ajudar. Otimo custo benefício, cama muito confortável, banheiro pequeno mas chuveiro bom. Café da manhã muito bom e tem um croissant que é uma delícia. Excelente localização, em frente à uma estação de tram. Ficamos muito satisfeitos. Recomendo.

The beds were also absolute impossible to sleep on - we're used to hard beds but these were like cardboard and we both went home with back problems (despite being in our 20s). In short - refill the breakfast and replace the beds and this hotel would've been a 5/5

We stayed in the “loft” annex for more room. Basic things were missing from the room. Dishes and a kitchenette but no proper tea towels or even paper towels to try and clean up. We stayed in the “loft” annex for more room. Basic things were missing from the room. Dishes and a kitchenette but no proper tea towels or even paper towels to try and clean up. I spent 3 nights at the Hotel V. I was given a room with a small balcony, which was really agreeable. My booking did not include breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. After the 2st couple of nights, I asked for my room to be serviced, and the service was not great. Other than ticking my bed and changing the sheets, nothing else was done. The old tea cups were still there, and the bottle of water was not replenished. And that is why I’m quite des appointed. Great location, ideal for a short stay.

Be prepared that this hotel usually does not have AC, so if you're coming in the summer, make sure you get one of the rooms in the basement. Our top floor room was 34 degrees as we arrived. Staff was great though. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy.

Our stay at hotel v was amazing. super accomodating from the moment we walked in room turned down every day with fresh towels as well. the only thing that was a bit strange was the open shower, water always ended up outside the shower but other than that we have no complaints at all would definitely stay here again, very central to everything!!
