Staff were friendly and efficient. The room itself was nice, bit on the basic rather than luxury end. The main cleanliness issue was the bathroom where the floor clearly hasn't been hoovered or mopped in a while. We chose it due to the pool area, which had good upkeep but it was busy including with noisy kids jumping in which made it less relaxing. Overall good but won't be back

This is not a hotel in the normal sense, it is a golf club and wedding venue first, with rooms they let out. The setting is really nice and the pool facilities were excellent (including the super friendly staff). Reception shuts early so when you realise they have only given you 1 toilet roll, there is no one to contact. The lady who checked us in was lovely and even let us check in and use the facilities early. The other lady insisted we couldn't go directly to our room after we collected our cases due to a wedding despite none of the wedding party being on the stairs/on that route. There was no indication that it was not accessible. I have a bad foot and struggled with the steps (there was a lift to the floor with the rooms but then some large steps to the room from there. You have to go outdoors to get to the room, and from the room to the bar and restaurant. The room was lovely and spacious and a big bed. The bathroom wasn't what I call clean but the rest of the room was.

Receptionist wasn't particularly helpful on arrival. Arrived at 7pm and told the pool and restaurant both shut at 8.30pm. Room was large but bathroom was small and dangerous getting in/out of the shower as a result. Food was good in the restaurant however. I don't think this is suitable for business travel unless there is an event taking place.

Lovely hotel to stay in nice room and view of the golf course. I was pleased that there were other people staying there for the night we were on the 3rd January otherwise that would have been weird! The spa and gym facilities were excellent and breakfast was fine as it was included in the room cost. The room was hot which is subjective but even turning the radiators off there was the sound of the heating all night which kept me awake for a while. It was very convenient for a family function the next day.

The room and facilities were really clean and in great condition. However there was a party at the hotel the evening we stayed and it was incredibly loud into the early hours. It was not so much the music but the constant voices of the guests that kept us awake. The function room is very close to all of the bedrooms. Had we have been notified of the party we would have stayed somewhere else. My advice would be to double check whether there is an event on before booking.

The room we were in was a superior double, it was a great size and the furniture was of good quality. We found the bed uncomfortable (personal choice). Room and bathroom were very clean and the complimentary products (hand wash, body wash and shampoo) were of good quality. The spa area was well kept and clean although quite small and it only took a few people to use at a time to make it feel busy. The few chairs that were there were taken and then there was nowhere to place towels etc.

Slight disappointment when we arrived after a 4 hour drive, receptionist not friendly or welcoming! Room was ok but lots of cobwebs and still had glitter on the floor from previous stay. Room was near the linen cupboard so lots of banging around early in the morning! Grounds are beautiful. Fab breakfast. With a warmer welcome and higher standards of cleanliness could be a fantastic place to stay

Good: Nice location and lovely friendly staff. Room was overall comfortable. Breakfast was lovely Spa was great. Bad: freezing cold! Heating not adequate for the cold weather and switched off at night. Lucky I had a spare T-shirt and blanket to sleep in. Doors very draughty and left noise in(old and wooden with huge gaps) Toilet wasn’t fasten to floor so extremely wobbly(have told reception) Noise from other rooms /courtyard and doors slamming. But had had phones Overall. Lovely location and would possibly stay again but not on a weekend /winter

The restaurant staff were exceptional. I had a really bad cold/cough and asked for a brandy to take to my room following dinner. Luke not only got me a brandy but provided herbal tea, sliced lemon and honey, and repeated it the following night too. Lovely, relaxed property, a few marks on the carpet in our room, but everything lovely and clean.

Up and down experience. The place is pretty and the views from breakfast are lovely. The health club was clean, everything looked new in the pool area and the health club welcoming staff excellent and friendly. Breakfast meal was good and fast service. I was disappointed with the room - The bed was lumpy and dented, the heating never came on despite set to max so I was cold all night. Bathroom mirror light did not work. No fridge, safe, robes or tissues which is unusual for a country club/spa type hotel.

Staff very good 👍 A wedding was taking place so very loud to the early hours .. to be expected however … was not made aware when booked ? Although the room was ok the bed was uncomfortable and low quality pillows .. they could be upgraded .. the room rate didn’t really meet expectation .. for a deluxe room complimentary water would be a nice touch !!

The stay was good, spoiled only by the noise from the upstairs room starting at 5am. It seems like there is very little sound insulation between floors. I would recommend getting an upstairs room.

Stunning setting and lovely, friendly staff. The bedroom was stylish and the bed was very comfortable. Floor to ceiling sliding patio doors allowed a great uninterrupted view but no secondary curtain for privacy. The bathroom was a big letdown - very cramped, wonky shower over the (very narrow) bath and no amenities bar hand wash and shower gel, overdue for redecorating! Restaurant nice place to be in, menu fairly limited but well prepared and generous portions, breakfast excellent.

This is not a hotel in the normal sense, it is a golf club and wedding venue first, with rooms they let out. The setting is really nice and the pool facilities were excellent (including the super friendly staff). Reception shuts early so when you realise they have only given you 1 toilet roll, there is no one to contact. The lady who checked us in was lovely and even let us check in and use the facilities early. The other lady insisted we couldn't go directly to our room after we collected our cases due to a wedding despite none of the wedding party being on the stairs/on that route. There was no indication that it was not accessible. I have a bad foot and struggled with the steps (there was a lift to the floor with the rooms but then some large steps to the room from there. You have to go outdoors to get to the room, and from the room to the bar and restaurant. The room was lovely and spacious and a big bed. The bathroom wasn't what I call clean but the rest of the room was.

A cosy little room for my one night business trip! It was my first time staying here, and it was lovely! The room was great, the staff were helpful and the facilities and dining were excellent! There was a road closure getting in, this took extra time to get to the hotel, so it would have been beneficial for the hotel to email the guests with information regarding the diversion. It gave me a bit of a headache getting there, but Luke on reception was incredibly helpful when directing me. Thank you, Luke! I will definitely stay here again, perhaps for pleasure as opposed to business next time!

Receptionist wasn't particularly helpful on arrival. Arrived at 7pm and told the pool and restaurant both shut at 8.30pm. Room was large but bathroom was small and dangerous getting in/out of the shower as a result. Food was good in the restaurant however. I don't think this is suitable for business travel unless there is an event taking place.

Slight disappointment when we arrived after a 4 hour drive, receptionist not friendly or welcoming! Room was ok but lots of cobwebs and still had glitter on the floor from previous stay. Room was near the linen cupboard so lots of banging around early in the morning! Grounds are beautiful. Fab breakfast. With a warmer welcome and higher standards of cleanliness could be a fantastic place to stay

Lovely place and quiet comfortable rooms. A big bath that I didn’t get to enjoy! The spa was really nice. The hotel is currently going through some renovations so it wasn’t looking its best. No one was there to check us in when we arrived so we had to go on a search for someone. It was during the world cup final so not really a surprise! Breakfast was delicious but dinner was only so-so. We had pizza so the other options may have been better. Would definitely recommend. Nice and close to Gatwick too.

Excellent venue surrounded by countryside but not far from two main towns with all the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good and plentiful with both hot and cold choices. Didn’t visit the bar restaurant but the venue looked good. Highly recommended.

Stunning setting and lovely, friendly staff. The bedroom was stylish and the bed was very comfortable. Floor to ceiling sliding patio doors allowed a great uninterrupted view but no secondary curtain for privacy. The bathroom was a big letdown - very cramped, wonky shower over the (very narrow) bath and no amenities bar hand wash and shower gel, overdue for redecorating! Restaurant nice place to be in, menu fairly limited but well prepared and generous portions, breakfast excellent.

Great place to stay even if you're not a golfer! Lovely grounds with great views. The room was perfectly clean, sizable and well equipped. Food was very good and the dinning room overlooks the course and further afield. Staff were extremely welcoming, professional and very friendly.
