Crystal Inn - Neptune

This was a quick last minute stay. We were actually at Pointe Pleasant for the day, but were looking for something budget friendly. For the price and for just one night, this place was acceptable. Definitely nothing spectacular. The rooms were clean and looked ok. Beds themselves were comfortable but the pillows were absolutely awful. We had to fold the in half to make them even slightly usable. My son's blanket had cigarette burn marks, even though it's a non smoking facility. The shower pressure was amazing and the pool was nice, but it closed at 6 pm, which was odd to me. I would have like to have a coffee maker in the room but they did supply free coffee at the lobby. All in all, not an awful stay for a night but wouldn't spend any more then that there.

An old HoJos! The property is old but clean. Bed comfy and shower had plenty of hot water. Room spacious and balcony much appreciated. Sad I didn't have time to get into the pool; it looked clean and refreshing. Property had landscapers there as we were checking out; outside areas were tidy as well. No elevator, so ask for ground floor if you have mobility issues.

Clean, quiet and nice front desk staff. Outdoor pool it was great! I just made another booking.

Rooms are dated, but it was clean and the bed was comfy. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the pool. Pool looked great, just didn't have time to use it. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of parking and easy drive to beach in under 10 minutes.

This was a perfect place to stay without spending a fortune. Our room and entire property was very clean. The landscaping was beautiful. The pool was crystal clean. We felt safe here as the area was pretty quiet although a busy road was nearby. Our beds were clean and very comfortable. The furniture was outdated, so if you are looking for a high-end hotel, this isn't it, but it was perfectly fine. The breakfast only consisted of cereal, coffee, orange juice and toast (no jelly or peanut butter). The first day there were bagels/cream cheese, but not the other three mornings. All in all, this was clean, quiet and perfect for a low-cost place to lay your head.

Not a fancy hotel but is excellent for a short stay. The pool is very cleaned. WIFI is free and so is the continental breakfast which is served from 6:30 to 9:30.

Great pool area and enjoyed playing cards in the Gazebo at night!!

1960’s vibe. Continental breakfast was a bit small but the hotel is not part of a big chain. The pool was great. It is fairly close to the beaches.

We had a great stay. Parking was convenient. Pool was warm and nice. Small so everything was a short distance to walk the grounds. We enjoyed it!

Great location, easy check in, friendly staff. Unfortunately the room was not very clean. There was vomit on the curtains and hairs in the bed upon arrival. I would suggest bringing your own bedding. Could be a decent little place if not for the lack of cleanliness.

Horrible air quality and horrible handling of their issues by the staff. No refund or credit offered despite having to leave at 6 am due to headaches and our noses stuffed so bad we couldnt breathe. Hand stains on our wall over the bed we had to clean ourselves i assume from someone elses sex which is beyond disgusting. This place sucks.

I was so excited to stay here because reviews were pretty good and it was a decent price. Unfortunately the room was very dirty. There was a hole in the couch as well as very noticeable stains that just made it feel dirty. There was A cigarette burn in my pillow. There were brown liquid streaks coming from the lights on the wall. The outlets didn’t hold the chargers. Everything just looked dirty making you also feel dirty. Best part was the pool 10/10 pool. Both ladies at the front desk was nice. Check in and out was easy. Just not the cleanest stay!

Terrible experience arrived close to 10pm to check in and went to go grab some snacks directly after. When coming back to the room and more carefully examining it we discovered burn holes in covers and blankets even tho it was a no smoke room. Started seeing stains on the floor. Bathroom door did not shut and there was dried up liquid on the door to the room that was not cleaned. Weird holes through the curtains. We decided to strip the beds and discovered disgusting mattress protectors with many stains and what looked like signs of bed bugs. We started frantically searching for other hotels to stay at but since it was 4th of July everywhere was booked we decided to bite the bullet and take a long uber back home to New York City because we couldn’t stay there. When asking for a refund or discount on the room the front desk woman was very rude not apologetic for the state of the room at all and said it was non refundable because we had used the room for a few hours.

The hallway has a strong cigarette smell, different parts of the bedroom are broken, bedroom sheets have holes, stains, towels have stains, the bedroom had a strong cigarette smell. I had to run out to get allergy medication. This room is not worth $280.

Pillows weren't the greatest but the room was fine and clean. The laundry towels could be better as one of the towels they gave us still had toothpaste all over it.

There were roaches in our room and they said the only way to move us was a picture. But don’t worry I got one but still that’s disgusting and disturbing. At least two big ones and a bunch of small ones.

Never again will I stay there. They have roaches in their room. Never again.

Cockroaches

This hotel was a mixed bag. The halls reeked of weed and then the room reeked of cigarettes. The bed sheet had a rip in it, we were next to a big laundry room with tremendously loud doors and machinery and I had to kill one cockroach. But on the plus side, the staff was responsive and helpful, the beds were soft, the water pressure was good and the pool was very nice.

The room was big. The balcony was convenient. The staff was really friendly.

Nice place. 10 minute drive to everything. WiFi doesn’t work great so if you’re a business person or on the tinder, you’re out of luck.

Unfortunately one of the worst experiences in a motel in s very very long time. Front desk pm lady Sunday night was less than pleasant; directions to the inn not user friendly ( our first time in Eatontown). By the time we arrived at the inn we could not get any food from restaurants except for Domino’s which is not something we would eat for dinner. At our arrival the front desk lady was eating in front of the TV with her feet up; she proceeded to tell us we should not have the suitcase with us because our room was very far ( not true: our room was only 3 doors down from the office) we felt scolded by her. I must clarify: Tatiana was most helpful next day as well as the gentleman at the front desk early in the morning. There were some loud people outside, next to our room and by the gazebo. I asked her about this and she said she couldn’t do anything about it until after 9. At 9:5/10 pm; I had to tell them myself ( didn’t want to face the lady at the desk again). We were exhausted so proceeded to put some drinks in the refrigerator but it had fish smell so we didn’t use it.

Liked pool but no coffee machine in room. No dressers to put clothes in and no closet.

Nice size room friendly staff but no tea facilities

Maddie at the front desk was extremely personable and tried to make our stay the best in every way. Very clean basic room comfortable bed and added plus a fridge and microwave. The pool looked clean and inviting unfortunately the weather wasn't a pool day. If you need anything additional all you need to do is ask. Coffee juice and cereal is available in the morning in the lobby. Would definitely do an overnight there again if I need to be in the area.

Madeline from the front desk was so amazing and kind. One person from our party had an emergency and not only did she handle it and got him care, but then she put his food in the fridge and called me! Above and beyond in customer service. The hotel is older but clean and the pool was clean.

Dated property and very run down. Check in clerk ether couldn’t or didn’t stand up to check me in and seemed pretty disinterested in general

Customer service was poor. Receptionist was very rude and disrespectful. Need to be train on how to communicate with customer. She can’t find my name in system refer to me as some one else , try to explain she told me she refused to listen.and laugh in my face. She need to be fired.checking out the male receptionist was very pleasant

Staff allowed us to check in early as we were heading to a festival. Very accommodating and showed a safe space we could store our bikes. Staff was friendly and efficient.

If I could give it less then 1 I would. This place was sketchy at best. Got there and couldn’t check in cause no rooms clean. Went to event and came back and the computer didn’t work so they told me I couldn’t have a room and had to leave. Threaten to call the cops on me. My friend who was already staying there had to have his room switched do to the smoke smell, also the doors are all broken so each room has two doors and they have a chart of which door works in which room. He had to go to the front desk everytime he needed to get into his room cause his key kept not working. This place is a disaster

Right next to Centerfolds gentlemen’s club. A fine establishment. Only drawback was BYOB. Wish we would have known that ahead of time. Very hot ladies.

This property is close to Asbury Park, the staff is very friendly and it's always clean and very fairly priced. I already booked my room for next year!

The property is a bit outdated, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. The surrounding area has lots of food and shopping options. We were about 11 minutes away from the beach driving and the price was decent.

We loved the pool and the air conditioner worked awesome it was almost 100 degrees outside we stayed nice and cool also loved the automatic pancake maker although at night it was noisy

This hotel is lacking some very basic stuff. Towel bars, a dish for the soap, a hair dryer, phone in the room, paintings or anything on the walls. The breakfast was really abysmal. It appeared to be just carbs and coffee: pancake making machine, cold cereal and toast. No yogurt, juice, fruit or eggs. The entry card to the room didn't work, despite numerous replacements, and the staff had to use the master key to open it for me.

The breakfast was just coffee and your choice of two cereals. Not what I call breakfast. No juice, bagels or doughnuts.

The "Breakfast" consisted of a pancake maker that was out of mix, bread for toast, cereal and the worst coffee ever. Then you go to sit in the gazebo next to the pool to eat your toast and coffee and all you can smell is raw sewage. The beds are like rocks. The room was clean enough for sleeping but the refrigerator was dirty and the inside was busted open with the insulation spilling out.

Bad Breakfast

This was not a bad stay for us but we did not have any breakfast as promised because when we arrived at 8:30am, there was no coffee or pancakes let alone anything to eat. We won’t be back because of this.

Sufficient for price, as were there to visit Monmouth. Hard to get across street to shopping area. Breakfast very limited.

Such a friendly staff. And an actual continental breakfast. You don’t get that often anymore. Try easy to check in. Beds are super comfortable and the room was very clean.

Simple and convenient to Asbury Park and other beaches. Lower cost. Nice pool. Coffee cereal bagels for breakfast.

Clean, bare bones hotel. The breakfast should not be advertised as they only put out a couple choices of cereal and bagels that looked like someone sat on them.
