Holiday Inn Express - Neptune by IHG

Everything's fine, except the pool has too much chlorine. It damaged our hair.

Property is under construction. The crew remodeling the lobby broke the only elevator leaving guests to only use stairs. My 83 yr old mother who walks with a cane had to go up and down 3 flights of stairs for half of our trip. I insisted we be moved closer to the stairwell for some relief and they then charged us the room rate for the different room. I will say staff were very nice and tried to be accommodating but the property really should shut down until demo is complete. Just a lot of added stress that wasn’t necessary.

The Holiday Inn Express was convenient for us to stay overnight. We did book because there was a pool and gym, but it was under renovation when we arrived which would have been good to know. Otherwise, the property was newly renovated (or almost) and everything was clean and nice.

The room was a nice size suite . And clean. But, the pool was disgusting and had a bunch of dirt in it and, it ruined all our bathing suites with to much chlorine. And the drain in our shower was extremely slow so, that was gross. But, overall when they are done with construction it will be nice

Clean room, excellent bed, new facilities, parking was great. A little noisy because it is by the Highway, but not too bad.

They were renovating and the property had large dump containers and debris all over the parking lot. No parking for the majority of guests over a holiday weekend. It was noisy and they didn’t have ammedities they confirmed due to renovations.

Pool heater wasnt working and no wifi or tv access, being how i live close by and only wanted to utilize the pool and room to relax with my boyfriend and daughter it was a senseless waste of money. And i called prior to my visit to verify the pool was working properly and still cqme to a freezing cold pool.

We stayed for one night after visiting a nearby art gallery. The staff was very professional and efficient. Check in was a breeze and when we had some trouble with our TV someone came up and quickly resolved the issue. The hotel was undergoing renovation so we didn't have access to the pool or the gym but the facility was clean and still functioned well. It was a little noisy from the traffic but not unbearable. The bed was comfortable and the following morning we had a very nice hot breakfast.

There was dark hair on the bathroom floor. The room faced the road and I could hear traffic all night. The shower pressure was horrible as most of the water came out of the spigot when the shower was on. The gun and pool were closed for renovation

Very friendly staff, clean all the way around, decent breakfast, plenty of parking, heat and air worked great. There is construction around hotel but that does no effect the stay. Would recommend

Pretty certain, even though we have stayed there often, this was our last time. They upgraded the property and it looks super. Sadly, service and management has not kept place. We stayed for five nights. It wasn't until the third day and after we asked did our room received any attention. When we talked with the desk, they gave us a lame excuse about "they forgot to come back around."

They only had 1 bar of soap for 4 guests. They only had 2 towels and we were 4. The body wash gel in the shower was empty. Ms lorretta at front desk was so professional and courteous We tried calling the hotel and no 1 eould answer. I also left a voice message but never received a call back

Front desk staff, Tiara, was very courteous and polite and welcoming to us! The room was spacious and clean. My daughter and i will return to visit your hotel in the near future.

The property was dirty - especially our room. Dirt in corners, dirty shower, and dirty towels. There was actually hair on the towels. Not staying here again.

The bed was ok - however there was a clump of hair from a previous guest on it. The carpet smelled bad and that really is what tainted our stay. The room smelled like feet the whole time we were there. Everything else was so-so. The breakfast was pretty good though.

The front staff was good. They did not clean inside the microwave in the guest room. When I try to fix coffee in the room there is no creamer. Seems like didn’t check amenities.

TV did not work correctly,there was no remote in the room but one was brought up by the front desk. It would not turn on the tv or adjust the volume. I had to turn on the tv from the panel on it.

I had a tv that didn’t work in the room. One tv did and one did not let them know and they said they would come and fix it and they never did. Not worth the money I paid to stay there

Very noisy. We got stuck on main level on the roadway side. Could hear every fart and sneeze from nearby rooms on top of roadway noise. Won’t stay again

Friendly staff. Ok breakfast. Noisy AC in room and safe did not work, but I was moved to another room with a working safe.

Check in was smooth. The staff is friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.

The thermostat in my room was broken and didn’t function at all. I FROZE all night. My room was in the 50°s! I didn’t arrive until 12am due to a delayed flight, so I only was able to try to get 6 hours of sleep, therefore I didn’t go down to the desk to make a stink during the night. I really deserve a refund for a miserable night. I mean no heat-that’s unacceptable. The front desk offered me compensatory “points” at check out so they know about the issue. But seriously just fix your thermostat/heat!

Unlike some of the complaints I did not experience any of them. For the price I couldn't beat this hotel. Convenient to where I had to go. My friend who stayed on the 4th floor did complain about doors slamming. Unfortunately the ignorance of other people not allowing the door to slam will never end until a hotel gets "no slam" closers. The bathroom door also had a closer on it that would slam if you didn't hold it. That I had a problem with but other than that it was a pleasant stay.

What a great hotel! I’ve stayed at many different hotels in the area, and this was by far the best one. It is newly renovated and the rooms are so nice! We stayed in a suite and it was awesome! The bed was so comfortable and the entire room was so spacious. The bathroom was big and modern. Biggest shower I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The living area was also well laid out and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Check in was a breeze. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of options and was very nice. I will absolutely be staying here again.

The stay was not for me but for one of my guest speakers for a Revival. She said her stay was wonderful from service to the breakfast. The only complaint I have is that when she arrived, they could not find her reservation even though I personally checked her in a few hours earlier and gave instructions to leave her keys at the front desk with her name and an explanation so that she would not have any issues checking in! The issue was quickly resolved, but my guest had to call me on the phone to resolve the matter! It was different ppl at the front desk when my guest attempted to check in, so it was not appropriately communicated to the next shift. Other than this small hiccup, it was a great experience.

We checked in around 6:00pm and the woman behind the desk was simply amazing, perfect person to greet guests, beautiful smile & wonderful personality!!

I stayed at this property with my toddler recently and had a terrible check in experience. I checked in with no problem, went to the room and started getting unpacked, when all of a sudden a man who’d checked in just after me used a key card and entered my room. Both obviously confused and realizing a mistake had been made, I called the desk and was rudely told I was supposed to be in a different room. I told the gentleman at the front desk that my envelope had the number of the room I was currently in (plus the key had worked, so obviously I was in the room I’d been assigned). He told me I had to come down to get my new key. I explained that I’d already used the bathroom including soap and a towel and started unpacking, but he insisted I come down to get a new key. So I hauled my 8 month pregnant self and all of my luggage down to the lobby to get my new key. I was offered no apology or explanation. Additionally, the wifi didn’t work and when I called to ask he basically just told me to try again. All in all, the property itself seemed clean and well maintained, but the customer service was some of the worst I’ve encountered.

Rooms are updated and very clean and nice. Shout out to frint desk manager Nicholas who went above and beyond to help us when we had a booking issue.

This place have poor customer service And not including toothpaste and toothbrush They tell me I need oh for it.

Would have given you a 5 star but security guard was sleeping in lobby when I was checking out on Sunday September 8 around 3:30am. Shoes off and stretch out. Very unprofessional open eyes made contact and continued to go back to sleep.

Convenient to shopping, gás, food and the beach

The location is not in the best township.

Great access to GSP and Route 18 in a safe part of town with plenty of parking. Recent renovation of entire place. Nice hot breakfast. Worth the money for spacious rooms within 12 minutes drive to the beach.

Property is well maintained... Due to the construction on the highway during the evening hours, it was noisy at times during a 24 hour period.

Hotel was 4 miles from Asbury Park beach which was convenient without the parking hassle. Theres a Wawa right next to the hotel and shoprite nearby. The Garden State parkway is down the street. Jersey shore outlet is a few miles away.

Great location. Excellent hotel. Most summer weekends this hotel sells out completely. It is convenient to Route 18 and shopping; also, it’s a safe location with ample parking. Figure on 15 minutes to the beach, yet that allows you to be in a safe, spacious area close to major highways.

My family and I made this trip for my son who was in a basketball tournament. I called last week to get an early check in and was told no problem just call the morning of arrival, so I did and was told they could not do so. I told Brenton about my son needing to be at his tournament by 3:30 so we needed to be in the room by 2 the latest. He said to ask for him when checking in and he would assist us between 1:30 & 2. When I showed up he said he could not help and come back at 3. I spoke with a woman sitting next to him and she said the same thing. We had purchased lunch to eat in our room so I asked if we could sit in the dining room and eat and was told there is no dining room they were renovating, so I asked about the breakfast that was included and was told it was in a small room next to them and was only grab & go. No eggs, pancakes or anything promised just cold food to take with you. There was no mention of renovations when I booked this and we were promised a full breakfast, that was a main reason for picking this hotel. We ate in the car and I stood in the lobby until 2:30 when I was finally given a room. The room was missing some towels and the toilet seat would not stay up. My son and I went to the lobby because the wi-fi wasn't working, the woman took my phone and said it was my i phone and ran to the ladies room. The room was nice, but the overall experience was below par. I was a sale manager for over 30 years, what ever happened to going above and beyond.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gym was adequate. The breakfast was very good.

We had a 1.5 hour wait to get our room after the allotted check in time. The room was okay as far as cleanliness goes. Linens were clean and beds made. The provided breakfast was largely stale or cold food. With several items having run out after 2hrs of the time it was available. Seating in the dining area was also very limited.

Breakfast was great! Loved the conveyor belt pancake maker! Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this hotel and there was construction in the lobby. The first day had grab and go breakfast instead of the usual buffet style breakfast. The cleaning never cleaned our room nor knocked to see if we needed anything.

Pillows too soft caused neck ache. Towels not changed. Breakfast was a joke! No eggs no meat. Did not meet what IHG states at all. As a diamond member this was a waist of time and money

Complimentary breakfast was decent; the staff at both the desk and dining area were pleasant and helpful.

Decent clean room met expectations. Breakfast was better than expected with yoghurts, made to order pancakes good selection of teas etc.

Telephone and clock non operational in the room. Reported immediately. Not fixed in 2 days. Bed was comfortable. Room had a safe and Keurig. Free breakfast was very very good for a chain hotel. I asked for a quiet room and got it. Would go back again and I am very picky.

spent over $700 to stay here for 2 nights and we didnt even have any hot water. also ate half of a croissant from the 'free' breakfast before I realized it was moldy.
