We came here for work at the Smoek and Fire Festival in Promenade Park and needed a place to stay locally. The room was clean, well maintained, and well stocked with a mini fridge with free water, real milk for tea, and some soft drinks. Breakfast was great. wife is wanting to book here for next year! :)

This peoperty was good overall and the staff were nice. We tried the breakfast and it was tasty. However, the cleanliness was not spotless and could be cleaner. The room was far too dark and the colour of it could be refreshed for something lighter and brighter to make the room more cosy and less dark and dull. You could miss the entrance because the hotel is poorly signed and right on a curve. There was a nice touch with the rose petals surprise as it was our anniversary. The very high reviews are totally overrated. Other than that, OK overall.

Booked The Limes room for our wedding anniversary. The guest house is lovely and the room was outstanding. Loved the thought put into the room for guests as we had tea, coffee and drinks too in the fridge even beers for us to enjoy. The bed was so comfortable and was very romantic. All was excellent however there is a loud extraction system for the restaurant kitchen which is built to the side of the room didn't turn off until 10.30 pm which was a bit disappointing, a loud door also which kept banging when they go in and out to serve in the restaurant so I wouldn't recommend it of you want to sleep before 10pm or a light sleeper. I expected at least a breakfast included for the price we paid. The guest house is homely and staff were very helpful. Maldon also a lovely place to stay and visit. Overall we rated it good.

Perfectly placed in town with allocated parking. Friendly greeting on arrival and no surprises when entering the room. Unfortunately the room opposite was being used by restaurant guests as a toilet and attracted a couple of groups that were a bit loud but it did not overly affect the view of the stay. TV was in an awful position as it was impacted by the post of the bed and the light in the fridge was a bit annoying during the night as I’m a lite sleeper. Nice and clean, water and soft drinks in the fridge and good selection of beverages and biscuits. Couldn’t access Netflix or Prime on the Tv as the connectivity wasn’t there so had to resort to my fire stick. Fair price for the room, didn’t take the breakfast so can’t comment but if I was in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to use the Limes again

The location of the hotel was favorable, and the staff was prompt in addressing any concerns that arose within the room. The complimentary beverages were a thoughtful touch. While the room possessed a charming aesthetic, several practical aspects fell short of expectations. The four-poster bed, although visually appealing, emitted a noticeable creaking sound. Additionally, the refrigerator generated a persistent humming noise throughout the night, which, coupled with the transparent door that emitted light, disrupted sleep for those sensitive to noise and light. Check in was super efficient and the location was great . Our room was pretty but a little small . The bathroom was a good size . There is a little street noise but they provide a great sleep kit . The tea and coffee tray is very well stocked .parking is easy .

Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available.
