The pool was lovely some tiles need work. Room looked new lovely and clean. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choices. Staff were all really nice, friendly and approachable. Lovely night would definitely stay again.

We were impressed with the warmth of the hospitality we received at this quaint hotel. The gentleman opened the pool just for us for a quick dip even though it was closing very soon. The pool was so warm , especially in the pouring rain - lovely fun. The staff were very smiley, genuine, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend

This Best Western was a cheery little hotel but it’s just been bought by some Egyptian Owners who forbid the sale of alcohol or pork products. This will make a huge difference for visitors wanting a full English Breakfast or a glass of wine with their dinner. A bit sad really.

Hotel Staff were great and breakfast good. Pool needs attention and repairs with broken and missing tiles would not a child in the pool which was one of the reasons we booked the hotel.

Great clean hotel. No pork at breakfast which is a shame. Pool needs some TLC as some tiles missing and no handle for going down the steps. Lostwithiel is very sleepy and the businesses there aren’t always open when their opening hours say they are.

We stayed the night as we attended a function in the hotel and didn’t want to drive home afterwards, The food was excellent, at dinner and at breakfast the following morning. We had a lovely room, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Only complaint, the bar closed at 11.00 pm, even to residents, so the party fizzled out! In hindsight our organiser should have secured a later bar.

We were greeted by a very lovely lady Jane, who was extremely friendly and very helpful. I had reserved the electric vehicle charger, and it worked well. Jane also helped us with directions to our next destination. The continental breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly and professional.

Stayed 3 nights here. Brilliant hotel. Jane, the deputy manager, was a fountain of knowledge. Everything she suggested was excellent. Our room was spotless and really comfortable. The bathroom was great, excellent water pressure and hot water. There are a few pubs and restaurants within the village. This is a perfect base to explore Cornwall. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was good in that it had a pool but this was tired, along with the rest of the hotel. Our room looked out on the main road, net curtains did not drop far enough to stop you being seen on the toilet, from the street. Poor fittings throughout, paper towel dispenser coming off the wall, holes in carpet, headboard unpleasant. Dirty bottom sheet and dusty bed cover. A lot to improve upon. Would not stay here again as much higher standards from other hotel chains.

The hotel was clean & tidy, the staff were friendly & welcoming & the accommodation was extremely comfortable. The only downfall was the couple in the room next door waking us up 12.30 on our last night with loud laughter & talking all the way from the car park, up the stairs & then in their room. Not the hotels fault, but wish some people had more respect for others.

I was very impressed with this hotel. One thing that really stood out was the hotel asking in advance for dietary requirements and then being aware of them at breakfast and automatically offering me something suitable without me having to ask. I have never had this at a hotel before and it was lovely. The staff were all lovely and it felt very welcoming. The bathroom was very modern and a good size. The bedroom was a reasonable size, but the bed was a little tired on the headboard.

Lovely friendly welcome, the receptionist even found the nearest EV fast charging point for me (sorry I didn’t get her name) Room was small but had everything you needed and was exceptionally clean with plenty of tea/coffee/milk. Food was very good, the steak was cooked perfectly, a little disappointing that the chips were frozen and not freshly made, but it is out of season so can be forgiven as they were very tasty 😊 Breakfast was good, not much choice on the continental but the cooked offerings were good, I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and it was delicious 😋

Check in was a breeze with very helpful and friendly member of staff. Room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Breakfast staff cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

All of the staff were very friendly, yet professional. When I rang to say that it was my friend’s birthday, Maisie was able to recommend some lovely lunch venues. And, when we arrived she, and the other staff wished us a happy stay, and they had decorated the room for my friend. They made our stay special!

We had a call the evening before to check we knew how to get to Lostwithiel. We were welcomed by Jane who was very helpful and friendly. We brought our young dog and everything was very easy for her too.

It was quiet. Breakfast was very good. Their were several restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking. Shower was very good and powerful. I liked that they only cleaned your room if you asked so everything was as you left it. The bedside table needs to be bigger when you have two beds sharing one. There is a very good mirror in the bathroom but no shelf for your makeup. The mirror over the desk and the lamp was not a good alternative.

We found this little gem by accident: the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us - super kind to our dog and kids! Hotel is really pet friendly and makes furry visitors very welcome. Rooms well-equipped and spotless. Yummy breakfast cooked to order. Thank you so much: we will be back!

The staff were very friendly. The outdoor heated pool is small but does the job and is clean. The continental breakfast selection was very limited. Basically they had the popular cereal varieties like Kellogg's Corn Flakes etc, croissants, pain au chocolate, an assortment of jams, yoghurt, and some fruits. No oats. No soy milk. No peanut butter. No cheeses or cooked meats. No nuts of any variety. No pork is served on the premises due to the owner's cultural/religious beliefs. So dont expect a traditional English breakfast with a couple of pork sausages! The hotel looks tired. The surrounding area was nice and not far from the Eden Project. The hotel restaurant was shut during our stay. There are a few pubs within 5 minutes walk that serves ok food.
