Trevliga stugor i en skogsdunge där några har utsikt mot havet. Härlig pool med utsikt över vattenhål med vattenbufflar och krokodiler. Maten var bra och trevligt bemötande med personal som pratar bra enelska. Bra för en kortare vistelse och safari, men att stanna en hel vecka blir nog lite långtråkigt. Man får inte röra sig hur man vill utanför hotellområdet då det finns vilda elefanter och andra farliga djur (hotellet ligger nationalparken). Det finns inte heller något gym, så den som gillar promenader och löpning har det lite småkrångligt. Jag valde att springa barfota på den lite svårtillgängliga stranden. Närheten till Yala national park är toppen!

The food was very average. Tinned tomato soup and frozen pizza, not fresh made. The rooms were great, clean and had everything we needed. The pool was not the cleanest at the time of visit.

Godt hotel, men det er slidt. Der mangler fliser i poolen - nogle er faldet af ned i poolen, mens andre har manglet et stykke tid. Finish på værelserne er heller ikke god længere. Det meste trænger til en update. Værelserne er ikke store, og der er reelt ikke plads til en familie på 4. Vi fik dog en ekstra seng ind i værelset, og så gik det. Great resort on the edge of Yala park. Pool area next to a small lake with wildlife living and visiting. Crocodiles, elephants, water buffaloes, boars among a big amount of different birds. Guided walks and rides into the Yala park. Wonderful staff making the stay very comfortable. Good and assorted breakfast and large dinner buffet with local and European options. Restaurant and bar by the pool with Saman and others making the stay at it’s best.

The hotel is well placed for the National Park and has many animals in and around the property, such as elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, birds etc. The rooms are excellent but the rest of the property is fairly basic. Food OK, Pool area OK. Sun loungers poor. Reception area poor. We took a morning Safari, which was good but no better than that. DO NOT go on a Safari if you suffer from back or neck issues. It is incredibly bouncy in the car. The beach is wild and untamed. Cinnamon Wild Yala was good but I expected better and especially as the price is high.

We enjoyed our stay at Cinnamon Wild Yala. We did the stargazing with Kasun. We saw the moon and Saturn and enjoyed the view and the discussion with Kasun. Glad we did this activity! We also went on a nature walk with Gayan Gamage on the 16th of october 2024, and it was absolutely amazing. He was super friendly and knew a lot about the nature and the tracking of the animals. It was very interesting, and we saw a lot of the local animals. We hightly recommend this to anyone who likes the nature and animals. Gayan was friendly and easy to talk to and we had a great time! He was also very good at involving the children and our daughter loved him and wanted a picture taken with him after the tour :)

It is ideally located close to the national park with a lovely on-site lagoon filled with birds, water buffalo and crocodiles (all at a safe distance). The staff is great but be aware that given there are no barriers between you and the national park, they have to escort you to and from your room for safety once it gets dark. It is not as luxurious as I expected given the photographs and it is a bit outside of the nearby town so once you are there, it isn't easy to get back and forth - especially after dark when the animals are roaming. Quite suitable for a romantic couples getaway and just 1 or 2 nights, given limited things to do on site outside of the main pool area.

They accommodated our room request for close rooms (we had 2) and gave us a close location to reception/dining, for my mom who has mobility issues. Some construction going on near the water front. Would be nice to build up the area around the water. Pool area was nice.

If you are looking for a hotel nearby the national park, look no further as this place is perfect You will be sunbathing watching crocodiles in the lake(it’s safe, don’t worry!!) admiring the sunset with the buffaloes and keep hoping an elephant will pop in. The rooms are spectacular,spacious and very very clean. The buffet (both breakfast and dinner) is yummy and with a variety I haven’t seen before. But the highlight of this hotel is the staff. We had the best people looking after us and this was the best thing!

Very clean room. Nice room and very friendly and professional staff. Good size swimming pool. Wild animals at the premises. Very good location for a safari in Yala. Safari was a nice experience even though it was not booked through the hotel. The breakfast was the best breakfast ever. The food overall was very good. We used the á la carte menu which was great.

The rooms were super cool and like tiny houses in the trees. The staff are so gracious and professional and want to make your stay wonderful. Sameera was a standout and friendly and helpful as all of the staff were. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful hotel in a great location close to lake and ocean. We stayed in a jungle chalet which was spacious and well equipped. Staff constantly patrolling the area so very safe. We booked full board and all the meals were delicious and great variety. Danushka served us at dinner and breakfast and was charming and very attentive.

The rooms were super cool and like tiny houses in the trees. The staff are so gracious and professional and want to make your stay wonderful. Sameera was a standout and friendly and helpful as all of the staff were. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful hotel in a great location close to lake and ocean. We stayed in a jungle chalet which was spacious and well equipped. Staff constantly patrolling the area so very safe. We booked full board and all the meals were delicious and great variety. Danushka served us at dinner and breakfast and was charming and very attentive.

Godt hotel, men det er slidt. Der mangler fliser i poolen - nogle er faldet af ned i poolen, mens andre har manglet et stykke tid. Finish på værelserne er heller ikke god længere. Great resort on the edge of Yala park. Pool area next to a small lake with wildlife living and visiting. Crocodiles, elephants, water buffaloes, boars among a big amount of different birds. Guided walks and rides into the Yala park. Wonderful staff making the stay very comfortable. Good and assorted breakfast and large dinner buffet with local and European options. Restaurant and bar by the pool with Saman and others making the stay at it’s best.

WILD cinnamon is really fantastic! And better than the photos suggest! We travel a lot and this was relaxing, really natural really fits in the wild (environment). Animal roam freely through great for the kids to see. Great, thank you. See you again bye. Champika In the restaurant was great really looked after us. As did Saman in the Pug Marks Pool Bar, really really great guy.

The staff is great but be aware that given there are no barriers between you and the national park, they have to escort you to and from your room for safety once it gets dark. It is not as luxurious as I expected given the photographs and it is a bit outside of the nearby town so once you are there, it isn't easy to get back and forth - especially after dark when the animals are roaming. Quite suitable for a romantic couples getaway and just 1 or 2 nights, given limited things to do on site outside of the main pool area.

Trevliga stugor i en skogsdunge där några har utsikt mot havet. Härlig pool med utsikt över vattenhål med vattenbufflar och krokodiler. Maten var bra och trevligt bemötande med personal som pratar bra enelska. Bra för en kortare vistelse och safari, men att stanna en hel vecka blir nog lite långtråkigt. Man får inte röra sig hur man vill utanför hotellområdet då det finns vilda elefanter och andra farliga djur (hotellet ligger nationalparken). Det finns inte heller något gym, så den som gillar promenader och löpning har det lite småkrångligt. Jag valde att springa barfota på den lite svårtillgängliga stranden. Närheten till Yala national park är toppen!

Very clean room. Nice room and very friendly and professional staff. Good size swimming pool. Wild animals at the premises. Very good location for a safari in Yala. Safari was a nice experience even though it was not booked through the hotel. The breakfast was the best breakfast ever. The food overall was very good. We used the á la carte menu which was great.

Spent 2 amazing nights here for safari tours situated right outside the national park. The hotel staff and location is amazing. The cabanas are beautiful and air conditioned. We even had elephants in the lagoon outside our room one night. As additional the safaris are excellent, the park is dripping with wildlife, we booked directly from yalla national park but the hotel does similar tours do a full day as 1/2 is not enough.

The hotel is well placed for the National Park and has many animals in and around the property, such as elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, birds etc. The rooms are excellent but the rest of the property is fairly basic. Food OK, Pool area OK. Sun loungers poor. Reception area poor. We took a morning Safari, which was good but no better than that. DO NOT go on a Safari if you suffer from back or neck issues. It is incredibly bouncy in the car. The beach is wild and untamed. Cinnamon Wild Yala was good but I expected better and especially as the price is high.

Cinnamon Wild is a beautiful hotel, by far the most luxurious place we stayed in Sri Lanka. The wildlife in the immediate area is incredible and the hotel itself is stunning. My only suggestion would be to add some children's menu options to the pool bar menu, we were travelling with young children and options outside of the buffet were very limited

An experience like no other staying at this location. A spa like elevated beach chalet with wild sights and sounds from every direction. We woke up to a wild bore digging in the sand and enjoyed an evening cocktail at the lounge as an elephant walking through the resort. In between a couple crocs lazing about. I’d highly recommend the nature hike as it opened our eyes to many things we were simply walking past. The food was varied and delicious.
