The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The food is very good with an extensive breakfast buffet, cooked by very friendly chefs to order. They will pack up a picnic if you’re going into the Park early. The swimming pool is desperately in need of repair as there are many missing tiles and the flagstones around it wobble when walked on.

We stayed at Jetwing Yala for three nights and had an amazing experience overall. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a stunning pool that’s perfect for cooling off in the heat. Even though Yala National Park was closed for the first couple of days, it was still lovely to relax around the hotel and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location is incredible, right on the beach. You can even join an early morning walk with the lifeguard, which was such a nice touch. The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely lovely and always happy to help. One of the absolute highlights was the wildlife. A bull elephant visited the hotel twice during our stay once at night and once in the morning which was honestly the best experience ever. The naturalists were always present, making sure everyone was safe, answering questions, and sharing so much knowledge. We did a half-day guided safari organised by the hotel and would definitely recommend going with a guide. Even though we didn’t see a leopard, the naturalists and jeep drivers were so dedicated and made the experience amazing. We saw baby elephants, crocodiles, deer, and even a sloth bear. They even set off early so we were at the front of the queue entering the park. The food experience was mixed. For the first couple of nights breakfast and dinner were à la carte, and the dishes were exceptional. Far from 5 star. An average 4 star hotel at best. Good location for Yala but thats it. Nice beach and great pool. Rooms are tired, dull, boring, dirty and the smell from the bathroom is very very unpleasant. Couldn't open the patio door due to tatty rug on floor. Air con dripped onto wall mounted tv and floor. Damp patches on walls. Not great. Food in restaurants good, but waited over an hour for food in fine dining when only two tables. Don't bother with the spa, awful experience. The therapists were as bored as I was with a lacklustre rub down. Industrial air con made sure we had no chance to relax. No great. Must be better places

Pleasantly surprised to have this experience at a Hotel that is situated 10 minutes away from a Wildlife park. The hotel is in very good condition, large rooms with modern amenities and spacious washrooms (Loved the waterfall pipe). Food quality was amazing and we got all the usuals for a hearty breakfast. The beach is lovely, the pool is well maintained and the staff are immaculate. Gym and Spa are well maintained. Lots of activities for kids. The Turtle hatchery they've got on the beach was a definite plus to our experience. And all the wildlife, very safe, but so much to see.

The hotel is spacious and very clean. The buffet was ok but not worth the price. We found great food at the a la carte restaurant fir half the price. The pool is excellent for lap swimmers. At night occasionally elephants come to the pool and other animals. Lots and lots of monkeys but they did not bother us at all.

The room is spacious and clean. Food is good. Breakfast offers a wide variety, and each item is clearly explained. The safari is well organized! The swimming size is a delight, especially if you enjoy swimming a good distance. Beautifully landscaped near the ocean. The beach is beautiful with many dunes!

Great stay at Jetwing From the start the staff were friendly and welcoming. Easy check in and shown to our beach view room. Room was very clean and spacious. Large shower room and deck area were great. Extensive food options avaialble and all that we had were very tasty. Other facilities like pool and gym appeared inviting, although we only had 2 nights and so were unable to make use, as we had trips planned. Had a great stay and would recommend.

Beautiful nature and safari in Yala was amazing. When walking into the hotel reception you get the impression of the hotel being luxurious as advertised. However, when dining, getting to the pool area and into the accommodation everything is outdated and in poor/tires condition. Quite disappointed, as the hotel was quite expensive, the food was bad to mediocre, and they charge a ridiculous service charge/tax on over 30(!!)%. Was looking forward to enjoy a “luxury” hotel as advertised, and the pictures looked amazing. In reality, the place needs a major renovation and update to justify the claim as being a luxury hotel. The food quality needs to be improved to justify these prices. The staff were friendly, but had extreme poor English skills, which made them misunderstand orders and inquiries all the time. Oh by the way, a lot of ants everywhere to be found in the accommodation. Can’t recommend this place for this price range.

Had a very nice stay and was pleased overall. However room was dusty and needed a good clean. Various bits of the place beed a good tidy up. Not sure its 5* now. It definitely was when it opened 10 years ago

Room was comfortable, however the bathrooms were not air conditioned as they were open to the air, which made them quite hot during the day. Food selection was reasonable and the chef was nice and very careful to accommodate my spouse’s dietary restrictions (food allergy). Staff was professional and very nice, which was our experience across all resorts in Sri Lanka. Amazing service by super nice people!

This is a beautiful property. We loved our room, verandah and open air shower. The bar and buffet dining was excellent. Staff was extremely courteous and professional. During our stay there it rained and we had rooms furthest from the lobby area. Parts of the walk to our room were unprotected from the rain and the walkways were quite wet and slippery despite attempts by the staff to mop. Further protection from adverse weather conditions would be appreciated. Overall, loved our stay at this property and would highly recommend to others.

They will pack up a picnic if you’re going into the Park early. The swimming pool is desperately in need of repair as there are many missing tiles and the flagstones around it wobble when walked on.

Had a wonderful stay at Jetwing Yala! The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, making check-in smooth and pleasant. The evening food offerings were generous and delicious, with plenty of variety. Rooms very clean & spacious. A great experience overall — highly recommended!

We stayed at Jetwing Yala for three nights and had an amazing experience overall. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a stunning pool that’s perfect for cooling off in the heat. Even though Yala National Park was closed for the first couple of days, it was still lovely to relax around the hotel and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location is incredible, right on the beach. You can even join an early morning walk with the lifeguard, which was such a nice touch. The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely lovely and always happy to help. One of the absolute highlights was the wildlife. A bull elephant visited the hotel twice during our stay once at night and once in the morning which was honestly the best experience ever. The naturalists were always present, making sure everyone was safe, answering questions, and sharing so much knowledge. We did a half-day guided safari organised by the hotel and would definitely recommend going with a guide. Even though we didn’t see a leopard, the naturalists and jeep drivers were so dedicated and made the experience amazing. We saw baby elephants, crocodiles, deer, and even a sloth bear. They even set off early so we were at the front of the queue entering the park. The food experience was mixed. For the first couple of nights breakfast and dinner were à la carte, and the dishes were exceptional. Far from 5 star. An average 4 star hotel at best. Good location for Yala but thats it. Nice beach and great pool. Rooms are tired, dull, boring, dirty and the smell from the bathroom is very very unpleasant. Couldn't open the patio door due to tatty rug on floor. Air con dripped onto wall mounted tv and floor. Damp patches on walls. Not great. Food in restaurants good, but waited over an hour for food in fine dining when only two tables. Don't bother with the spa, awful experience. The therapists were as bored as I was with a lacklustre rub down. Industrial air con made sure we had no chance to relax. No great. Must be better places

Room was comfortable, however the bathrooms were not air conditioned as they were open to the air, which made them quite hot during the day. Food selection was reasonable and the chef was nice and very careful to accommodate my spouse’s dietary restrictions (food allergy). Staff was professional and very nice, which was our experience across all resorts in Sri Lanka. Amazing service by super nice people!

Beautiful nature and safari in Yala was amazing. When walking into the hotel reception you get the impression of the hotel being luxurious as advertised. However, when dining, getting to the pool area and into the accommodation everything is outdated and in poor/tires condition. Quite disappointed, as the hotel was quite expensive, the food was bad to mediocre, and they charge a ridiculous service charge/tax on over 30(!!)%. Was looking forward to enjoy a “luxury” hotel as advertised, and the pictures looked amazing. In reality, the place needs a major renovation and update to justify the claim as being a luxury hotel. The food quality needs to be improved to justify these prices. The staff were friendly, but had extreme poor English skills, which made them misunderstand orders and inquiries all the time. Oh by the way, a lot of ants everywhere to be found in the accommodation. Can’t recommend this place for this price range.

Outstanding hotel! Loved everything about it. We were visiting for 1 night to do the safari (which was also fab) but wished we stayed another night just to chillax!! Was nicely surprised that their dining prices were no more expensive (in fact cheaper in some cases) than other equivalent properties in Sri Lanka given the remoteness & no other options! Food & staff were great. Lovely pool. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved the hotel and the ambience, especially how it's blended into the nature. It's lovely to see the monkeys, birds, lizards running around. We took the safari the hotel arranged and it was amazing. However, the dinner buffet was disappointing and overpriced. For the second evening we had to drive out for 30 minutes to the nearby town Tissa to eat out. The service is lacking and it's not 5-star hotel standard. The staff were more friendly to the locals than foreigners. We felt slight judgement from them too. They weren't keen to offer help or service. We had to ask and keep asking. Although for what we asked we got the service needed. Overall we are happy with the stay.

Truly one of the best days of my life was at this hotel. The location and views are a dream and the buffet breakfast was one of the best meals I had in Sri Lanka. I spent the day at the pool, in the spa, drinking a mojito on the beach front, and enjoying the views. They helped me arrange a safari to Yala which was wonderful. A must stay on any trip to Sri Lanka! The only downside was the dirt road leading to the hotel is in really banged up condition so was a bit hard on the car that dropped me off, but I was told the hotel is on a national park land so it can't be paved. So not really their fault.

The hotel is spacious and very clean. The buffet was ok but not worth the price. We found great food at the a la carte restaurant fir half the price. The pool is excellent for lap swimmers. At night occasionally elephants come to the pool and other animals. Lots and lots of monkeys but they did not bother us at all.

The room is spacious and clean. Food is good. Breakfast offers a wide variety, and each item is clearly explained. The safari is well organized! The swimming size is a delight, especially if you enjoy swimming a good distance. Beautifully landscaped near the ocean. The beach is beautiful with many dunes!

We absolutely loved the hotel and the ambience, especially how it's blended into the nature. It's lovely to see the monkeys, birds, lizards running around. We took the safari the hotel arranged and it was amazing. However, the dinner buffet was disappointing and overpriced. For the second evening we had to drive out for 30 minutes to the nearby town Tissa to eat out. The service is lacking and it's not 5-star hotel standard. The staff were more friendly to the locals than foreigners. We felt slight judgement from them too. They weren't keen to offer help or service. We had to ask and keep asking. Although for what we asked we got the service needed. Overall we are happy with the stay.

This resort was the perfect as Tay in every sense if you're going on a safari. The rooms are beautiful. The staff very friendly. The outlook is delightful. And the swimming pool is exceptional. After a long day at safari and you just want to have some lux, coming back to this resort was amazing. Buffet was ok. 6100 lkr per person. It was good enough. The inside restaurant just lacked atmosphere. Beautiful design. But no atmosphere..... Would I go back. Absolutely with no hesitation Thank you Jetwing
