Lovely property with good parking. Nice outside spaces. Check in was a breeze with friendly owners on the front desk to show me around the place and to my room. Breakfast (as others have said) was fab with really nice quality food and really tasty coffee but the hot food is cooked to order so don't expect to walk in and just eat! The bedroom was good, nice and clean with a comfy bed. My only downside would be that it could do with better blackout curtains as I was awake before the alarm!

A beautiful garden and well-appointed room, easy parking. I had to leave before breakfast. For the evening meal I was directed to an outstanding Chinese restaurant within easy walking distance. I don't really like divan beds but it was definitely comfortable. I would stay there again.

Unfortunately it's difficult to give a true rating of the overall property as we didn't see much of it. There was a wedding at the hotel which we were only informed of within an hour of our arrival. It wasn't the fact that there was a wedding that was the issue, the issue was that this meant we were unable use the bar to get any refreshments or sit outside in the gardens on what was a really lovely day. If we had have been told this a couple of weeks prior, we could have then made our own decision whether to change to a different hotel but obviously with such little notice this was not possible. Surely it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure all guests have a comfortable stay?! Such a shame as the location was excellent with only a ten minute walk into the town centre which was a relief given the circumstances. We won't be staying again.

Fabulous stylish small friendly hotel on the edge of the lovely town of Congleton. Clean, elegantly decorated room with all the finishing touches you could want (including cotton wool pads for removing makeup which I always forget!). Tasty breakfast choices, bar and beautiful garden to relax in. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed for 2 nights, and wished it could have been more! Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and facilities top notch! The whole experience is a credit to Andy and his team, and I can't recommend this place highly enough. My family are based in S.Cheshire/N.staffs area, but this was the first time we had actually been able to stay here, eventhough numerous family events have been held and hosted here by Andy. We're scolding ourselves for not having stayed here before...I truly wish we had have done! Thank you, Andy, for your hospitality - you WILL see us again!

We were 2 hours early to check in as we were going to a friend's wedding in Congleton, however this was not an issue and we promptly received our keys. The room was in a very good state and it was the cleanest bathroom I have seen in a hotel for a long time. We were also served a very sizable and tasty breakfast at no extra charge, a classy touch. Overall I have no negative feedback for the hotel or the staff. Thank you very much

A lovely building which has been decorated extremely well to reflect the age of the property but remain contemporary. Our room was very comfortable and bright with a lovely view over the garden. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel positioned close to town and close to Astbury Country park (with it's Park Run).

A very brief but comfortable stay. Shower cubicle in my room was too small for a guy of my size but other than that, everything was fine. Breakfast was cooked fresh and of good quality. Staff / owners very helpful too.

Really nice Victorian hotel. Staff lovely. We had a double deluxe shower room which looked more like a standard size wide but was still a very nice room and comfy bed. Breakfast was very nice. Full english freshly cooked. Juice and cereal available as self serve.

I checked in later on in the evening and was greeted really warmly and given a tour of the hotel. The room was warm and very bright, with beautiful views over the garden. The next morning at breakfast, I had a wonderful service from Marcio who was so cheery and helpful. The staff at this hotel are amazing and the location is perfect for a lovely walk in nature as very near a country park, literally 2 mins right out of the hotel. Would visit again.

Beautiful hotel a real hidden gem!! The lovely guy on reception was super helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Stunning rooms and decor throughout. Will always stay here if I'm in the area.

Easily one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. I found the bed to be very comfortable and the service friendly. Only a 10 minute or so walk into Congleton town centre.

Unfortunately it's difficult to give a true rating of the overall property as we didn't see much of it. There was a wedding at the hotel which we were only informed of within an hour of our arrival. It wasn't the fact that there was a wedding that was the issue, the issue was that this meant we were unable use the bar to get any refreshments or sit outside in the gardens on what was a really lovely day. If we had have been told this a couple of weeks prior, we could have then made our own decision whether to change to a different hotel but obviously with such little notice this was not possible. Surely it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure all guests have a comfortable stay?! Such a shame as the location was excellent with only a ten minute walk into the town centre which was a relief given the circumstances. We won't be staying again.

Fabulous stylish small friendly hotel on the edge of the lovely town of Congleton. Clean, elegantly decorated room with all the finishing touches you could want (including cotton wool pads for removing makeup which I always forget!). Tasty breakfast choices, bar and beautiful garden to relax in. We will definitely be returning.

One night, late arrival, called personally to inform me of close time. All was fine in end. Nice feeling in hotel. Only problem felt room was on the small side, but only one night and all amenities there. Breakfast excellent. Would use again - 100%.

A very brief but comfortable stay. Shower cubicle in my room was too small for a guy of my size but other than that, everything was fine. Breakfast was cooked fresh and of good quality. Staff / owners very helpful too.

We were 2 hours early to check in as we were going to a friend's wedding in Congleton, however this was not an issue and we promptly received our keys. The room was in a very good state and it was the cleanest bathroom I have seen in a hotel for a long time. We were also served a very sizable and tasty breakfast at no extra charge, a classy touch. Overall I have no negative feedback for the hotel or the staff. Thank you very much

Really beautiful property. Immaculately clean in all area. Lovely gardens well tended. Helpful friendly staff. Shame there's no option to have dinner but there are plenty of places to eat in Congleton.

Nice clean room, staff were welcoming and would do anything to help, whilst they don't have dinner options, there are numerous excellent options within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious and served quickly.

Beautiful large opulent room set in this small country house style hotel, very helpful staff, with great dinning options nearby, small local convienience store also close by. Unfortunatley we were not able to take advantage of the breakfast menu due to our ealy starts, but beautifully laid dinning room well presented with proper linen tableclothes ! Will return when in the area next.

Amazing couple of night stay, nice location in a beautiful old building with superbly renovated, boutique styled furnished rooms, clean and modern en suite. Plenty of onsite parking, large patio and seating area to rear, very hospitable and friendly.

A very enjoyable stay in a dated hotel. We were in a lovely clean and spacious room with a very good en-suite bathroom with a good bath and shower too. Friendly staff and a very good breakfast. We will definitely stay there again when we’re In Cheshire.
