This is a lovely hotel centrally located in Anchorage with easy access to shopping and dining. The room was a great size and clean. We love the amazing breakfast and the staff was very kind. Only downfall was the pool Was under construction and we were not notified. It was a disappointment when we checked in.

Very disappointed to learn pool and hot tub were closed due to maintenance, these hotel options being the main reason we chose Embassy Suites Anchorage. Desk clerk was extremely gracious. She said an orange banner notified guests of pool closure on the Embassy website; however, guests rarely book through a hotel website anymore. Embassy needs to come up with a better way to notify paying guests of pool being unavailable. After driving 6 hours from Fairbanks and counting on soaking in a hot tub, we almost cried to learn that hot tubbing was not an option.

Stores close within walking distance but in winter parking lot needs bit more maintenance. One of reasons picking Embassy is because of pool and hot tub which we found were both closed for maintenance, that information should be given when booking so as to allow finding different place to stay.

The Hotel Was very nice , the only complaint I have is that Online it says they offer a free shuttle to/from the airport. When I called to have shuttle arrangements made they informed me they stopped their shuttle service during COVID. They did give me a number for Taxi, which was very easy to call and It took about 10-15 minutes to come. Taxi/ Uber are roughly the same price to airport as I took a taxi from the airport and an Uber back to the airport the next day. about 30$ each way.

Came up for spring break, chose your hotel over others even though it was more expensive, the pool was closed, its the ONLY reason we stay at hotels, there was no compensation or reimbursement, even when I asked if they could discount the pet fee for our datchaund for the HUGE inconvenience the answer was no, the people on the floor above us were loud all night and the floors were like paper. Worse spring break stay ever

I specifically search for and book hotels with pools b/c Itravel with my children. When we checked in, they told us the pool had been closed since September (5 months!) so we spent extra money to use a hotel pool but didn't get to use one.

The room smelled weird. There were stains on the wall. The bathroom sink sprayed water out. I only stayed one night so it wasn’t worth the complaint. The police were called for a homeless person in the lobby. The place is going down hill and cost really isn’t worthwhile anymore.

The room was spacious and the central AC was great. The shower had what looked like some black mold between some of the tiles in the shower. It also had a "just slept in" smell to it, instead of smelling fresh and like someone just cleaned it.

The day we checked in and as we almost made it to our room, the fire alarm went off. With luggage in hand we ran down the stairs and found the outdoor exit with another guest. We made our way to the front of the building and learned it was a false alarm, thank goodness. Anyway, fun times :-) The staff is wonderful and kind. Breakfast was wonderful with optoons to have omelets made the way you want, and pancakes too. Our room was clean and quite. Overall, great stay.

Cleanliness was not good. Ramen noodles in the grout cracks in bathroom and sticky cup rings on counters everywhere. No easy wifi connection need to sign up for rewards to use. Dining area very very limited for dinner

Nice clean hotel with a full breakfast and decent restaurant and bar. Rooms are large and spacious and clean. Hotel has a great presence and is adorned with full animal mounts that represent Alaska. The hotel is starting to look a bit dated but will serve both business customers as well as families and tourists. Like a lot of Anchorage the area has its share of sketchy characters and street people but not as many as downtown location. There is shopping and restaurants nearby but you may want to rent a car if you are staying more than a day as there isn’t much to see close by. Some of the staff were awesome and friendly. I would stay here again.

Property is not nearly as nice as I would expect from the brand, but it was perfectly fine. The key card machine wasn't working very well - took a good while for the check-in lady to get a key that worked. Then it stopped working after the first time I used it, which was annoying. But they fixed it. Perfectly nice folks there at the desk. There was some hair in the bed between the sheets, which was disgusting. But I understand, since I stay in hotels a lot, that this sometimes happens and isn't completely avoidable. All in all, it was just fine. Given the price point, I might choose to stay elsewhere in the future if I'm just gonna be there a day or two. Room was very spacious, so good for a longer trip.

Best hotel stays in Anchorage in 23 years. Quite, big rooms, separate seating area. Hot showers. Safe. Great madeto order breakfast. In the middle of Midtown. Cant say enough good things. Totally worth the $$.

We really enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. The hotel is very nice. My biggest complaint would be the couch in the room. It is not very comfortable for long periods of sitting. Other than that, I have no complaints with the hotel. It exceeded my expectations.

The king suite was perfect for us. It allowed us to use the kitchen for warming leftovers and chilling drinks. A tv in each room made it possible to watch our own shows at the end of the day. The bed and hide-a-bed were both comfortable. Shower pressure was great and pump shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were complimentary. Although the pool was under maintenance, we were pleased to enjoy free snacks and two drinks at the manager’s reception daily.

There was no way to turn up the heat. We called the front desk and they said they would send security to check it out, but they never showed up. Everything else was excellent. Nice spacious suite.

Room was comfortable for us but hide-bed for kids was very uncomfortable and not enough blankets. Also bathroom was setup for someone in wheelchair- which I’m not. Shower head is only about 4’ high and I’m 6’3”. No shampoo in dispensers. Good breakfast

If you’re considering staying at this property make sure that you request turndown service as it’s not a standard. It’s only done on a request basis. We were never informed of this until the second night when I had to request towels and toilet paper. There were no signs posted anywhere indicating this practice. Secondly, prior to booking I visited the hotels site directly to view their amenities and benefits. No where on the site was it indicated that the pool was under construction and not usable. It was a hard shock to find out the day of checking in with children. Obviously a pool with kids is a must. It was very disappointing to find this out last min. I would gladly booked elsewhere and paid more for this benefit. Hard lesson, I guess always call the hotel prior to booking.

We had a bit of a problem when we checked in since the room assigned to us was not ready (seemed under construction), but staff was quick to resolve the situation. New room was clean and staff sent us a nice little basket filled with chips and drinks to make up for the inconvenience. Really friendly staff.

Breakfast and Bar Staff A Front desk staff needs training in basic customer service. Visited the front desk every morning, not one greeting. Lazy at best. On my last day, I asked Payton (I think was her name?…Monday morning person) for a print out of my folio, her response was we’ll email it to you. I asked, “you guys don’t provide printed copies?” She didn’t give me at least one syllable of an answer, she just printed and handed me the sheet. Perhaps I interrupted her texting or whatever she was doing on her personal phone when I walked up. I then asked her if there was a hat that was turned in, she said nothing was turned in to her. I said, well..just because she didn’t see it, doesn’t mean it wasn’t turned in. I asked if there was a log where things were logged when turned in, she flat out lied and said “no”. As she lied, Whit walked up and I asked him if there was a log and he pulled out the log and kindly looked. I had another unhelpful experience with an Iris the night before…same situation. She just didn’t want to work. On a more positive note…the breakfast staff was attentive, friendly, and kind. I noticed they greeted everyone with a smile. I highly recommend basic hospitality training for the front desk staff…at the very least, have recommendations for things to see and do. When I asked, it was “I don’t know”.

The staff especially the restaurant staff was wonderful. It was through Thanksgiving while we were there at the time my husband was put in the hospital. We live in Fairbanks so being away for the holidays is very hard but Embassy suites made it so much better Thank you

I have stayed at Embassy Suites twice now over the past three years when I come down to Anchorage to shop. The staff have always been very friendly and very helpful, the rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast is amazing!! Always tasty and so many options over the many days we are staying there is great. This is right next to the midtown mall and REI so it’s great for shopping

This was a nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms, a nice breakfast, complementary happy hour, and a well- equipped workout room. Definitely one of the nicer places in the Anchorage area. Maybe the staff was overworked, but it felt like I was putting them out by making any requests at all. Also, I’d avoid first floor rooms as there are tons of homeless in the area, and some of them like to sleep right next to your window! I also found a guy passed out in the hallway who was certainly not a guest! A sad sign of the times I suppose….

Embassy suites was a lovely hotel near grocery stores and other hotels. Felt it was in a good area. Great view of the mountains. Evening reception with drinks and light snacks. Full breakfast was great. Staff was pleasant. Bed was not comfortable but everything was clean and working. Pool was closed for renovations unfortunately.

I understand, it is the end of summer, and rates are going to be high. However, for the price, it was not ideal ($6489.42 for 3 nights) - we had a 2 bedroom suite room -mountain view. The mountains are in the distance, way passed the subway and other fast food signs. Our room is on the corner next to the street, very close to an intersection. So, loud music from cars waiting at the lights and accelerating/peeling out cars go throughout the day past 11pm. We are right across the street from a grocery store, which is great. However, we ended up being approached by 2 homeless individuals. We did not feel like we were in danger, only because of my 250lb husband and his do not mess with my family stare. The front desk staff is not very friendly and abruptly interrupts any questions, or concerns you have with a can't do anything about it answer - we asked at 5pm, that if they were unable to clean our room, to please help with 4 large bath towels exchange only. She said FINE, 3 sets, we said, no, no need, only 4 bath towels since we have 5 people and are trying to reuse towels - she hang up on us and about 5 mins later, a nice older gentlemen came and delivered 5 sets of towels to us. The morning buffet is ok, the grill had an excellent chef (of Puerto Rican origin maybe), except when he is not doing the cooking, then, everything is either burnt or raw. Overall, I read through many hotel reviews before booking and believe most of the hotels are all in this same level.

We stayed here twice, at the beginning of our trip and then again at the end. It’s close to the airport and easy to access. The best part about this property is the breakfast. It is so, so good. Much higher caliber than a standard hotel breakfast. I loved getting a made to order omelet every morning!

Our first stay was amazing! The breakfast was the beat part, made to order omlets, pancakes, and french taost. What hotel in Anchorage can match that? The beds were nice and firm, only con was the pillows. I will recommend this place to family and friends!

Upon arrival we were told dinner would be available until 8pm. At 4:30 we were told the restaurant was no longer open. The pool and hot tub were closed. This hotel has seen better days. The first room we were given was very worn. The door at the end of the hall was smashed. The couch had holes in it. A dog barked and barked until we finally asked for another room. Second room was better.
