Hotel bedroom uncomfortably hot and radiator stuck on max. Booked room for 2adults and 1 child and there was no bed for the child. Reception staff quite curt and said it would cost an additional £30 since they had no knowledge of child. Luckily I had evidence with me and the charge was removed. The lift had a sign saying intermittent fault causing it to get stuck. Not good when on 3rd floor. Not impressed overall.

Easy to locate, with plentiful parking. Very quiet, country setting surrounded by trees and a lake. A choice of comfortable rooms in which to read or relax downstairs. A very nice bar and resteraunt, with friendly staff. Large, comfortable, furnished bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom plus a walk in wardrobe. We felt warm, cozy, and relaxed and enjoyed our stay.

Lovely manor house converted into a hotel with large marquee in grounds for weddings and corporate events. None on when we stayed so hotel not too full. It is an old building and the floorboards did creak. It keeps a lot of its charecter but as it is surrounded by a lake we were advised to keep the room window closed due to the flies of an evening. Very nice traditional room which was spacious and had large bathroom with traditional bath amd seperate shower. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Lovely grounds and almost on an island out of the way of any traffic or noise.

Lovely building in beautiful grounds with plenty of parking. Check in relatively easy though why a charge or deposit should be applied to your card after already paying for the room i'm not so sure. Directed to a lift for the third floor which had a sign inside saying it may stop between floors was hardly what you need to see and certainly made finding the stairs after a priority! Room was beautiful & big with views out to the extensive gardens. Bar area comfortable but limited food choice, restaurant menu unavailable to look at unless going into said restaurant & staff ad hoc in the area so difficult to request much. Didn't pay additional for breakfast so cannot comment. Check out time must be adhered to or charges can be made to your card! On the whole its a beautiful place to stay even in the rain, as a last minute deal it suited my needs though I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price because the little niggles I had would have been much more of an issue had I paid rack room price. The hotel itself has a lot of potential if it can be managed well.

Stayed for 1 night as visiting the area. Lovely building, lift wasn't working which we didn't know and got stuck! Got out the lift and didn't use again! Few things amiss with room-table lamp shades shabby and bits peeling off. Shower pressure not great, however comfy bed and clean. Some bubble bath would be nice & more coffee please. Not great to have smoking outside the entrance-awkward for smokers and non-smokers.

Lovely hotel in lovely grounds. Great value for the standard. Good bar and had good breakfast with particularly good service from the gentleman running the breakfast room - apologies that I didnt get his name - but made for a most enjoyable breakfast experience and made our stay even better.

Booked as convenient for visiting family. Very nice staff and room was spotless. I have dust and other allergies so I often have problems with older properties which are usually carpeted and can be dusty - but not here. It was a sudden hot spell so we appreciated having a fan available in the room. The hotel was lovely and it's in nice countryside. The only negative is with the area not the hotel itself. This part of Cheshire is very car-centric with poor public transport and not pedestrian friendly - narrow or no footpaths, which made going for a jog around the area less enjoyable.

The boiler had broken the night before but they hasn't notified anyone. Cold shower in the morning. Thats OK these things happen... Breakfast was overcooked. Not enough staff.

Some of the rooms looking a little tired, more bathrooms that bedrooms - For instance, showers not holding temperature....To be clear, it's not too detrimental as I stayed in some rooms that have been upgraded and modernised....just some appear to be showing more than their age!

Beautiful hotel in breathtaking setting. Very pleased with the room, facilities, staff and overall stay. Problem with attention to cleanliness. We stayed in Labernum room and thick dust in the top of the radiator set off a runny nose allergy. This could be hoovered out but clearly never done. Also mould on the seals of the shower screen and round bath plug hole. Also in bar area there were cobwebs and dead flies in the chandelier and there were cobwebs in the ceiling atriums in the corridors. This is disappointing to see in a hotel of this nature.

Pleasant stay, beautiful setting, breakfast was fairly basic. Room and furnishings were lovely as was the bath. Room drinks poor. Dusty and dirty between floorboards. Sink basin overflow was really dirty.

Amazing hotel and very very reasonable . Beautiful setting. Only issue was there for work and so had some evening deadlines but the wi fi was absolutely awful. That needs sorting. Nevertheless, I will stay there again

Beautiful hotel, with loads of character. Room was huge, with lots of big windows, but this meant it wasn’t the warmest (was December when we visited though). Could have done with wifi booster for upper floors. Huge bed, just a tad too firm for me. Food was very nice and staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel. Tara the checkin member when I checked in was good and helpful. The morning one not so much. WIFI Is awful in areas of the hotel so this is a problem (was for me). Also 10:30am checkout with no way of extending except paying is not good - expected 12 like most places.

The hotel was great until i got up at 6am to get a bath no hot water , As i left at 6.50am i told a member of staff seemed not to be bothered , Try to phone hotel direct four time that day no one answered the phone

Lovely grounds and a great location. Short drive to Chester. The hotel was lovely the room was large and had everything you needed. Only downside was the lack of staff about when you needed them. I waited for 15 minutes to check in as the receptionist was on a call and no one else was there to help. When we went to the bar in the afternoon no staff were there either and you had to go and walk around to find someone to serve you. Other than that I have no complaints.

The hotel is in a great location and we were welcomed by a friendly, efficient receptionist. Our room was, on first impressions, very nice - clean and spacious - but several small issues could do with some attention (loose toilet seat, broken bulbs, no USBs, loose wallpaper, very low water pressure when flushing the toilet,...). The room was quite warm and stuffy but we could only open 2 windows very slightly for some fresh air. We were, however, advised not to open the windows in case bugs got into the room - you can't argue with nature! We had an evening meal in the bar, which was very good. Breakfast was ok. Bar and breakfast staff were very good but were short on numbers - long waits in the bar as the lady working there was on her own most of the time and was covering several roles. Would rebook here if visiting Oulton Park again.

Nunsmere Hall Hotel is in the heart of the Cheshire countryside in a beautiful location.It is a ideal for a quiet break or a wedding.The gardens are lovely.The hotel is an old coutry house full of character.We stayed in an executive room on the top floor overlooking the garden.The room was large with creaky floor boards.At 5ft 1inch,I struggled to get into bed,as it was extremely high,but once in ,it was comfy.There was a large safe in the wardrobe,but it was mounted on the floor,making it difficult to programme & use without lying on the floor,which is hard work when you an older person.The staff are lovely & friendly,The restaurant serves"posh"fairly expensive food.If you want cheaper food,there is a pub close by that sells cheap,good "pub grub".The bathroom had 4 lights,but only 2 worked.There was a bath ,a hand shower that didn't work & a big overhead shower that wasn't easy to regulate.The hotel is clean.Overall,we enjoyed our stay

The hotel needs updating - the room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff extremely friendly. Breakfast was poor and the coffee was not good. But a beautiful setting and therefore worth a visit.

Wonderful stay. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Room was beautiful and exceptionally clean! Restaurant was above expectations... excellent. There was no cheese board on the menu but on request the chef produced one for us. Cannot fins any fault.with this hotel.

Elegant hotel with character. Very comfortable room. Lovely breakfast which individually served - better than the usual buffet style seen today. Very much enjoyed our stay.
