Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kanab by IHG

My kids look forward to a pool, this hotel advertised one but it was closed for repair. Elevator was gross, half the wall tiles were missing. Front desk was kind and eager to help. Breakfast was good. Had to ask for enough towels and for the bedding for the sofa bed.

Great staff, nice newly renovated rooms. Indoor pool was incredibly freezing and hot tub was boiling hot. Breakfast was okay. Overall a nice stay!

Our room had dirty clothing left on the floor in the corner of the room from previous guest 2. Bathroom floor also had debris on it from previous guest 3. The body wash pump in the shower was broken so we couldn't use it (but the front desk did supply us with alternative soap bar once we reported it) 4.Pool is small and freezing cold Hot tub is small and toooooo hot! Such strong chlorine smell in pool area that you can't sit in there because it burns your eyes.

We were very disappointed that the pool was empty. The temperature outside all day was 100+ and we were looking forward to a swim as promised on the website, only to be informed the pool is empty.

Used the workout room. It needs some work. The hand sanitizer was empty. The water jug was empty. The incumbent bike made a lot of noise the place look like it needed a good scrubbing.

It was a hot day and the pool was closed. The wifi didn’t work for several hours. The parking area was under construction and it was a long walk. The elevator was not operating for two hours. Oh…. It took three attempts to get keys that worked…..

Friendly staff, warm indoor pool, 24hr fitness room, comfy room, pet friendly, close by grocery, coffee, thrift store and felt clean and safe.

Hotel has very limited parking.

The property was under construction when we stayed, which is fine. They have an indoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast options were 10/10. Sammy the receptionist was so amazing and very accommodating. The gym is below par, the treadmill didn’t work and the other equipment was in poor condition. The coffee place next to the hotel was absolutely delish and perks for walkable. All in all it was a decent stay. They have laundry facilities which work but the dryer takes 2 extra dollars to dry clothes.

The first room they put us in had hair in the bed and hair in the sink that clearly not clean the room. We later found out it was the last night they would be renting out the third floor where we stayed because it was being closed to be remodeled. This hotel looks to have been last remodeled in the 1970s. I can't believe Holiday Inn did this to us

I love this place, it was very clean, the breakfast was great and there were NO bugs!

The room was dirty, floor clearly not vacuumed (fries and meat on the floor), bathroom countertop dirty with food and debris present. hair on toilet. Room smelled. We were switched to a new room and it was cleaner, but also smelled (like a wet/locker room).

At least the beds were made. The walls were torn, there was mildew along the shower, no phone cord to call the front desk, the room smelled, dust all on the shelves, and trash on the floor. When we told the front desk they said all we can do is give you points if you are an IHG member. With the health issue of the mildew and safety of no phone alone something should have been done to accommodate us. This was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in and I have stayed in tons. I highly recommend choosing another place to stay especially if you like things clean and fresh.

The property is in need of a major renovation. The room smelled like mildew. The towels were a dull gray color, the bed had two sink holes in it and we are pretty sure that our bed linens were dirty. Hairs on the pillows and sheets and very wrinkled.

We only ate breakfast once at the hotel, but it was good. A standard hotel breakfast with sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles, and a variety of other breakfast foods and juices. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. We did have the end unit right next to the road, so it was quite loud with the traffic, especially early in the morning. Otherwise, it was a great stay and suited our needs.

Our stay was for 4 nights and we had room cleaning service only once, and then only half the towels were replaced. We had to ask the front desk for clean towels and tissue boxes and toilet paper. Waste baskets were not emptied. Floors were not vacuumed. The room smelled like a basket full of 2 week old gym socks. The hallways were very dirty. The staff was very unprofessional, no corporate named shirts or name tags. Dress was very sloppy, staff was seen outside smoking cigarettes when there were people at the front desk seeking help. We will never recommend or stay at another IHG Holiday Inn again.

Very confortable place. VERY Clean!

This place was more like a $75 motel 6. They really need to replace carpets, wallpaper/paint. We had to slam into our door to get it open from the hallway and pull like crazy to open from the inside. Also had to really shove it closed. TV kept losing sound. Very disappointing for an IHG.

Overall, it's a nice place to stay. My only complaint is that the room's soundproofing is not so good, especially the sound of walking upstairs would be loud.

The hideabed was atrocious. The most uncomfortable thing I have ever felt. BUT everything else was great. So if you dont need a room with a hideabed folded out you should be good here.

The TV didn’t work

It’s an average hotel…older with a decent breakfast. Staff was really nice. The only issue was the put me next to the ice machine, laundry and elevator. I booked and paid for the room months in advance. Should’ve had a better location

It is probably time to upgrade that property. Furniture and bathrooms looked a little old. Had to have our key cards replaced twice

Good location with many restaurants within walking distance. Hotel is clean but has gone a while without a renovation and looks like it. Bathroom needed work. TV wouldn't change channels. For the amount I paid I would expect better.

This hotel is undergoing renovations on part of the property. Our room was located between renovations occurring both above and below our room. Loud noises began at 8am. Judging by the parking lot, the hotel didn't seem very full, so it would have made more sense to put all of the guests away from construction work. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the attendant handling breakfast. The room was comfortable even not having been renovated. I would stay here again if I could get a room away from construction.

Waited 20 minutes along with others to check in while receptionist had casual phone conversation in adjoining office; and this was between 5:00 - 5:30 PM. Very annoying to say the least!

The check-in was really good was fast and the lady was very attentive and professional. The place is under construction and renovation so there is some obstruction at the entrance level. The third floor is also under construction. The place is quite comfortable and they have a very good breakfast . If you’re traveling to this area, this is an excellent stop.

This is a nice hotel in Kanab. Freshly baked cookies are a bonus. Breakfast was just ok. Location is great. Restaurants, grocery store, and coffee are just steps away.

The breakfast was excellent. All the food was fresh and delicious. I love that it is so close to all the shopping and restaurants. The only thing that would be better is if it was off the main road a block so you do not hear all the traffic and sirens so much.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was great! Kanub was an excellent place to stay when traveling between Zion National Park and Antelope Canyon, AZ.

Great location

The property was right next door to local police station making us feel safe being a long way from home. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and gas stations.

Half hour to Zion national park. Great and convenient place to stay if visiting Zion if you want to be away from hustle and bustle of Springdale

The free breakfast was the reason we choose Holiday Inn and we are very glad we did. Reasonable driving distance to multiple national parks and not having to worry about breakfast was great.

The hotel was good. A bit old. The location was great.

Front desk employees were very kind and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast felt like a lot of things were empty and pancake machine didn't work great. Hotel itself and employees were great.

The woman that took care of the breakfast area was such a hard worker! Quickly cleaning tables, keeping breakfast items stocked, greeting customers. She was SO GOOD!

The woman at the front desk did not know how to check us in We were informed there would be a power outage for the next five hours starting in 15 minutes so we had to rush super stressfully to our room The elevator is not working so we had to carry our sleeping children 3 fights upstairs And then she had told us the wrong side of the building so we had to also cross the building from where we were parked. These are just inconveniences and stresses. The room was very comfortable. Beds were awesome and clean. There was a big stain on one of our bathroom towels that were hanging up The next morning when we went to breakfast, there were all the bread items, but the pancake machine was out of order and there were no omelettes or bacon left and we got there at nine and breakfast was supposed to go till 930. We were informed by the one person working in the kitchen, who is extremely over burdened that they had run out of everything and that she was sorry. There was for a while, but we did talk to her and ask her about it and she said they were sorry they just ran out of everything. We chose Holiday Inn express because we’ve always had a good experience there and we knew that it would be a standard good experience. So we’re very surprised that it did not meet our expectations.

We had a very enjoyable stay in. The staff was great. The only negative was that the breakfast had very little variety or options, it was very limited.

A lot of restaurants around, bit many closed on Sundays. Hotel was nice Currently reovating 3rd floor, but they only worked during the day. 2nd floor needs a little reno, but it seemed clean and was nice enough. Breakfast was very good with a good selection.
