My husband and I spent three nights here and enjoyed our visit. It is an older building with some mustiness but we found it rather quirky and a nice change from the rather sterile hotels that are everywhere these days. The wifi was not very reliable and the hotel could benefit from some TLC but the substantial breakfast in a lovely dining room (15 Euros) and wonderful staff more than compensated. This property is in a good location if you don't mind walking which totally suited us. Our room (#11) was on the second floor and we found it spacious and comfortable and very quiet at night. We would certainly recommend it.

The breakfast was top class! Best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Great quality, great variety and the lady who served us was charming. The room was in the loft which didn’t suit us ( both in our 60s ) it was too hot and 60 steps up. Would have been fine for young people!

Decently located hotel with genuine charm making it one of our favourite recent hotel stays. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The building is ageing and the stunning double room had the quirky feature of 2 washbasins in it but not in the ensuite bathroom. Given the heatwave we were very grateful for the good quality fan. Although the breakfast room looked inviting we had to travel on.

it's a beautiful old-fashioned small hotel run in a simple cost-saving way. it's not for everybody, you need to love germany in the 60s when the economy took off.
