I stay here multiple times a year and always attain 2 parking passes. I was informed when I arrived I would only get 1so my husband ended leaving and did not stay for our family vacay with our daughter from college who met us there. I hate this is the last stay at Seaside.

We really enjoyed our stay! The suite was beautiful, spacious, and it seemed like all the rooms had at least a partial ocean view. Breakfast was included, and they even offered cookies at check-in, which was a nice touch. It's just a short walk to the beach—exactly why we chose this place. I also liked that the Sandbar is nearby, but unfortunately, the smell of fried food was noticeable around the hotel. The pool is pretty small.

The location is great and most of the staff were very pleasant. At check in on July 3rd the front desk clerk wasn't very polite and then we asked if we could sit by the pool to wait on our room to be ready and she said yes. After seeing other folks unloading their vehicles, I walked up to the front desk to check the status of our room. She said she tried to call us when room was ready but of course we were in the pool not at our phones but the pool is just steps away from the front desk. She could have made an effort to let us know as the front desk was not busy. She wasn't very friendly. The other lady that came in later at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and offered us a goodie bag with water and snacks. Breakfast was never ready on time during our 4 day stay. We had to wait every morning as there was some staffing issues leaving it to one person to cook and setup. I can't recall her name but she was wonderful and apologized but told us it wasn't her fault. The sofa in our room was very worn out and very uncomfortable and certainly needs to be replaced (photo attached) Parking is very tight and someone should tell folks for long bed trucks and large SUV's to park in the actual parking garage as it was difficult to get into the regular lot when those large vehicles were sticking out. The maintenance guy was amazing. Super friendly and I even left my bathing suit coverup along with my Yeti cup by the pool and it was there the next day.

We like proximity to beach, availability of chair rental, the breakfast and overall cleanliness of the hotel and our room. We have a queen with pull our sofa and the sofa beds was really only suitable for small children. Pool was very small but pool and surrounding area were clean. We ate dinner at the next door restaurant and food was good and enjoyed a dinner downtown the next night which was also nice.

Very nice room. We were disappointed with the very small pool area with very few chairs and no ocean view. The roof top terrace was closed on one side and we only found out we could access other side after dark. We could hear the ocean but couldn't see it. We would come back and stay on the island for a longer vacation.

This place was great for our stop. They allowed our pets and we were right on the beach! Only downside that we felt was there isnt a ton of parking (especially for taller vehicles). Thankfully we got the last spot in the lot but if it wasnt there you had to park down the street and walk to the hotel

What a treat to stay on the beach after spending the same amount staying at a hotel with a view of I-75 just a few days before! Both of ladies at the desk during our visit were very attentive and pleasant. Love the free breakfast and parking, but not as much as the sunset and sunrise from the roof!

Room had quite a few housekeeping issues (no towels in bathroom, door was found open on check-in (supposedly housekeeping leaves doors open at times to air out rooms), bathroom was not adequately cleaned (prior guest's soap with hair was still in tub, soap dish not cleaned), bed sheets had stains, body hair and some grainy substance in bed (presumably sand), mattress was old/springy with duct tape on it, and ceiling fan was a safety concern as some of the blades were loose. Our worst hotel stay to date in the past 20 yrs of travel. No email response by management regarding issues. Had to go down to reception desk 4x on arrival day to get towels, linen and report issues. Not worth staying here even though it is right on the beach. Parking is also limited with a few spots (about 10) with direct hotel access, and with some nearby hotel parking available.

The room was not clean, there were toenail clippings on the bathroom floor. The front desk didn’t answer the phone due to a power outage. Breakfast was great and staff were friendly. There was a homeless guy hanging out by the cars at 3am. Cops took care of him while on routine patrol. Phones didn’t work.

Started with the rude counter, check in person. The room had filthy carpet that was coming up at the doorways bathroom had mold. Air conditioning was extremely loud. Way too pricey for what we had.

The staff was great but the room was terrible. All of the baseboards were covered in dirt and dust. The carpet had a god awful brown stain. There was NO toilet paper at all. There were hairs in the sink. Everything was just dirty - the photos make the rooms look so beautiful and Fancy but this was by far the most embarrassing room I’ve stayed in. I was there for a wedding and was mortified having family in the room to get ready or visit. The phone didn’t work at all. The pullout mattress was worse than sleeping on a pile of large rocks and sharp shells. There was no bedding included for the pullout but they brought it quickly. I had to use cell phone to call for all issues. For the large amount of money they charge for the room, you think you’d get better. I’ve had cleaner rooms in a motel 6!

I came here with my GF for an anniversary trip away, and when we were settling down for the night, we found the sheets has sand in them. I went to call the front desk, and the room phone was dead. We had to call the outside number to get the hotel agent. The agent was apologetic and brought us up clean sheets, but then we noticed a thick layer of dust on the overhead fan blades. Also there was mold and soap scum in the corners of the shower - clearly they are failing in their housekeeping. The next day I spoke to the manager, Thomas, who gave us some excuse when we asked for a partial refund for the room, saying that because we booked through Expedia, a third-party, they couldn't give us any money back (really?). The most they would do was give us some gift cards for a local restaurant. It's a very disappointing result for what was supposed to be a special weekend. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the proximity to the beach, otherwise there are better places to stay that are cleaner and give good customer service.

The regular bed was great but the pull out sofa bed was in terrible condition and very uncomfortable, had to put the couch cushions under the mattress in the middle of the night to get any sleep that night. Other than that everything was great!

Balcony door was sticky and blinds didnt work properly. They wouldn't stay up unless you tied them off. Breakfast was good and the bed comfortable. The wifi signal needs to be improved.

I have stayed at Seaside Amelia many times and always return! Great location, beach bar and restaurant in site, walk to lighthouse a few minutes and 5 min drive to downtown. And good free breakfast and wonderful staff! However, the water pressure was ridiculously low this time, there wasn’t enough parking so I had to park in public parking down the street overnight, and the WiFi didn’t work in our room much of our stay. These have never been issues before so hopefully they’ll correct them especially at $315 a night! I’ll consider at the hotel across the street next time.

Check-in was easy & we were even presented with a gift bag that had crackers & water, which was really great! They have parking by the entrance for check-ins and they had 2 additional parking areas that were available to park at, no charge. We reserved a queen suite with partial ocean views. Our room was clean but it was smaller than we expected for the price. The bath was teeny tiny & the layout of the room was extremely weird. 1st, the doors to the room tended to pop back open if you didn't pull it really hard until you heard it click. It wasn't just ours because we saw The same issue with another door that got left open. Second, the "bedroom" part of the suite was set up closest to the hall door with the small bathroom in the middle, and the little living area was set up closest to the balcony door. So we had to listen to the hallway noise at night and whatever the heck was going on with the machinery on the roof.. There was some kind of loud racket going on so we didn't get much sleep the first night we stayed. On top of that the mattresses & sheets could use an upgrade. I was so uncomfortable and my husband was so uncomfortable that we barely got any rest. The balcony is also pretty small. Its just enough room for 2. The breakfast was delicious with waffles, grits, eggs bacon & pastries. Several great dining options within walking distance. And speaking of walking distance, the beach is also within walking distance. And it's beautiful!

Our room was quite small, with a queen bed and partial ocean view from the tiny balcony. The couch, which made into a bed, was uncomfortable to sit on. There were wall-mounted flatscreens on each side of the room but the screens were small. The bathroom was small but nice. There are free surface and underground parking lots. Breakfast was average. If you wish to stay on the beach this might be a good choice, but next time we visit the island we will spend more on a room closer to downtown.

The hotel was in a great location. The beach was a 2 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants and activities. The room we stayed in was pretty small but it was nice. Would opt for a bigger room if we return.

The property is in need of some updating. The A/C is loud, the bed mattress was wobbly and the pillows too hard. The pool deck needs replacing. We struggled opening and locking the balcony door. The good news is the beachfront location, which, of course, is the whole point of a beach vacation.

Location is lovely. Staff is nice. But the rooftop AC unit causes a lot of vibration to the top floor rooms. I moved down a floor and ended up being bitten many times in the middle of the night by something, hopefully not bedbugs, but it looks like it might be, Room 203, FYI.

The room was very cold, 68 degrees. Could not increase temperature so we shut off ac. Fan had 1 speed, high. No cream or sugar available in room for morning coffee. Employee at desk was not cordial. Didn’t speak to us or make eye contact. Very lukewarm personality. We had to pay additional $25 to check in 1 hour early. Breakfast was good. Coffe was god. Property was lovely.

I didn’t like the way I was handled at checkin. I arrived at 2:30 for a 4:00 check in and asked if we could check in early. She acted like she could care less about me. She said she would call me when the room was available. We ended up sleeping in the car in the parking lot. She never called. I went in at 4:00 and after waiting for the person before me to get checked in she checked me in. Never called. Bad attitude.

Great location. Staff truly went above qnd beyond. I had a sea gull fly into the front of my SUV. It was stuck in the grill. A gentleman employee offered to assist. He and another employee were able to remove it and cleaned up my car too. Great experience.

We arrived early and called the hotel to see if we might get an early check-in. We were told that the room wasn't ready, which was fine, so we waited. At 4pm, check-in time, the room wasn't ready, nor was it ready at 5pm or 6pm. The lady at the front desk told us that housekeeping was understaffed and someone had called in sick. We finally got to our room after six o'clock and when we did it was obvious the floor had not been vacuumed and the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was detritus on the floor and a used washcloth hanging in the shower, and the toilet bowl was extremely unpleasant. Also, there wasn't any hand soap on the vanity. My husband cleaned the tub. There was no daily maid service so the floor didn't get vacuumed the entire time we were there, even though I called and told the front desk about the bathroom and the floor. This was our third stay at the Seaside Amelia because we like the fact that it is right on the beach and within walking distance to Fort Clinch State Park, but after this fiasco I'm not sure we will ever stay there again.

The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and very hateful. Our TV didn’t work in our room and we were told we would just have to deal with it until they could get Maintenance there. They never came. Our balcony door would not shut. The blinds on the door and windows was broken.

We enjoyed our stay at this property with our two dogs. It was convenient to downtown and nice to walk out onto the beach from the hotel. Bonnie was very helpful to us during our stay and no matter what we needed help with she went above and beyond to help us. She is an asset to the hotel. Also, my husband had great experiences with the lady who was in charge of breakfast and spoke highly of her and the food.

Always look forward to the yearly stay at Seaside Amelia Inn for Georgia/Florida Weekend. After a long drive - it was wonderful to learn we could check-in a couple hours early since our room was already ready. Highly recommended for a quality, relaxing beach getaway. The staff is top notch as well!

Seaside Amelia Inn was as beautiful as described! Located on the beach which was easy on and easy off. Restaurant/Bar right in front of Inn was a nice addition for an easy bite to eat or to have a drink. Staff was friendly and the room was bright and comfortable. I'd stay there again anytime!

We just came back from two nights, three days at the Seaside Amelia Inn and really enjoyed our stay. The suite we rented had a separate little living room area adjoining the bedroom, and it was perfect for us. The bathroom was nicely updated, and clean and modern. The bed and pillows are comfortable.The breakfasts at the hotel are great! Hot food like eggs, grits, biscuit, gravy, bacon, sausage, waffles, and all the cold things like cereal, breads, yogurts. Lots to choose from. There is easy access to the beach. And it is a direct shot across the island to the old town of Fernandina Beach.We would gladly go back there to stay.

Great location, right off the beach. Clean rooms, ample breakfast and plenty of parking. What made the trip really special was the staff -- from the front desk staff at check-in, to the wonderful breakfast manager, they were friendly and effective.
