Everything worked out fine. The beach was within a short walk and could be seen if you sit on the walkway/balcony. Just remember, the older retro motels may not have elevators if you have knee or back problems.Check in was very pleasant with a sweet young lady making sure everything was explained in a friendly manner. We will stay here again.

This is a 20 room motel, oceanfront with a pool. There is an angled view of the ocean from almost every room, and rooms towards the pool have a better view. Staff is AMAZING!!!! Friendly and super helpful. Microwaves and mini fridge in standard rooms, stovetop and oven and fridge in the suites. You won’t go wrong staying here. Highly recommended.

It is a nice little get away. Great pool and beach access. The only down side is that there are no restrooms available by the pool or out on the beach. If you get there before checking in or stay after checkout, you are out of luck unless you go somewhere else.

Great location right in the beach! Older , retro style motel but very well kept and renovated! Breakfast is simple sweets and muffins but the coffee is quite delicious and fresh! Staff were very helpful and friendly! We will come back when it’s warm enough to use the beautiful pool!

This property is an incredible value. It certainly has some age on it, but it's super clean and so very convenient to the beach. There's also a lovely beachside pool. The price can NOT be beat. I love the old Florida vibe. Wonderful restaurant just across the road too.

This is a great beachside location for the price. The staff was more than welcoming and accommodating as we were later than expected on arrival. The room was clean. The grounds were clean. Perfect spot for a long weekend away with my bestie.

Clean hotel with very friendly housekeeping that does a super job of having clean rooms. Always checking to make sure you are okay or if you need anything. Pool area was great. Wished there was a more comfy chair in the rooms for rainy day leisure and a little more water pressure. Other than those 2 minor things we had a great relaxing quiet stay!

Staff was wonderful! The room was decent….carpet was dirty, room smelled very musty, water only came out of about 12 holes in the shower head, bed squeaked every time you moved, pillows very lumpy, tv remote didn’t work (staff fixed next day)…tight parking mostly suitable for average cars (we drive a lifted truck)! Pros are it’s centrally located to most anything, the pool was nice and very close to the beach! Housekeeping brought towels everyday and made bed!

Beachside Motel is just simply awesome. The rooms are clean, updated with great beds and bedding and the rooms smell clean when you walk in. It is super close to the beach and the pool by the beach is awesome too. Fresh coffee in the lobby with snacks is nice too. We will definitely return. A hidden gem in the heart of Amelia Island !!

This property is a gem. The staff is so friendly and efficient. The rooms are up to date and clean. It’s a great location with a nice pool and great beach access. I would definitely stay there again, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area.

The best thing about this place are the people. Also it is only a 2 minutes walk to beach. Unfortunately they assigned me a room with a strong smell that I could not Identify. They lady ( Amanda) was extremely nice and relocated me to another room that didn’t have that issue. The next morning I woke up and noticed a few bites on my legs and arms. I didn’t know what to make of it. I stayed because I was embarrassed to ask for another change. After I checked out, I confirmed that it was probably bedbugs. I did informed the Front desk so that they would inspect the room and prevent the next person to have the same experience. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, they probably were unaware of the issue.

I liked the location I liked the easy access to the beach. The restaurant across the street was and had very good food. Roast chicken was very good as was the pretzel. The room itself was very musty smelling and the bedsheets felt damp. The carpet was terrible felt gross under my feet to the point where I had a towel near the bed so I could wipe them off before I got n. The bed itself was comfortable pillows were just ok. The dampness and musty smell was just awful and I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again. It has great potential it’s just in desperate need of a renovation. Staff was great very friendly

We loved our stay here. We had a 2nd floor oceanview room with kitchen and were very happy. Yes, the kitchen and furnitures are a little outdated but everything worked and was clean. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Can't beat the view! Check-in with Amanda was a breeze and she was so friendly! We will definitely be back! Loved the 'old school' room key that was an actual key!

Staff was very nice. Stayed 5 days in balcony room. No microwave, definitely a motel as listed. Small and kinda cramped for a family of 5. Bathroom is very small. Knees touch door if using restroom. Ac worked great, beds were comfortable. Did kill some bugs but staff was very concerned when I told them. (Cockroach and spider). I would stay again if I can find a better price than $1500.

My husband and I have been staying at this motel for years. It’s always very clean and the beds and pillows have always been comfortable. It’s a 1 minute walk to the beach. We stayed in room 23 this visit and ate at the restaurant right across the street. The only thing that could make it greatly improved would be adding MICROWAVES to the rooms.

We had a second story room. Our room was among the rooms that were somewhat recently renovated. The upstairs rooms are carpeted with tile in the entry and tile in the bathroom. The first story rooms are all tile. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was small but enough for two of us to work with. The beds were comfy but the box springs were squeaky. That didn't really bother us too much. The building was quiet and we felt safe in our rooms and sitting on the balcony. We loved the walkway path to the beach and were happy to be so close to the beach for our stay. The only thing that we really feel could be improved upon was the strength of the WiFi. The signal was weak. We feel we got a great value for our money.

This hotel had a nice view. Could be fine but here were my observations…Remember four rooms in this hotel have a nice view that’s it so you have to make sure you pick the ocean view rooms. My room had a kitchenette, but did not have a microwave. The room was a little dated and had a you smell in it. The Internet did not work in my room for our two days, I asked them to reset it. They really didn’t accommodate me with that, but I mean my phone had Internet and I used hotspot. It was fine. It was freezing cold outside, so I was just curious if the pool was heated and they said no..no biggie. They were very generous with their snacks that they had in the lobby I think for the money I paid for the ocean view with kitchenettewould’ve probably stayed somewhere else But they might’ve had the best deal in town! The room was cozy. The heat worked well.

Check in was great, more mature woman, very helpful and friendly. Knowing we would be headed out early/before breakfast to play golf, she volunteered to get us “something from the kitchen” as we walked by early in the morning. She was very friendly and going out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Sorry we did not recall her name.

This was my second stay here with my wife, and was good all in all. This is an older style motel but theyve done a pretty good job of maintaining and updating. Loved it here!! Not only is the beach the property is situated on beautiful, but the rooms themselves are very nice and well-maintained. In addition to that, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, even surprising me with birthday cupcakes! Most chain hotels won’t do that, I love the mom and pop personalized feel of this place! Highly recommend!

Check in was easy and the front desk ladies were very nice helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and I enjoyed my stay tremendously. Plan on returning again.

This is by far my favorite place to stay away from home. Every single person working there treats you like family or long-time friend. They go above and beyond to make everything as perfect as it can possibly be. All truly wonderful people.

The room was clean and comfortable. The property is located right on fernandina beach. While you may not be able to see the beach from your room, a few steps out the door will bring it into view and a short walk down the path will put you right on the beach. The property was quiet. There was a restaurant right across the street and many more in short driving distance. We were happy with the stay and would definitely consider staying again if we are in the area.

The Beachside Motel is a beautifully updated, old-school Florida beach motel. Everything easy, serene, delightful. Pool adjacent the dunes, motel is directly on the beach. I can't imagine a better place to stay.

Gorgeous location right on top of the beach. Walk down path and you're at the water. The rooms were much nicer than expected and nicer than they appear in the photos. Clean, spacious, colorful, and comfortable. Like the fact that it's a small place, so quiet and personal. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great location right in the beach! Older , retro style motel but very well kept and renovated! Breakfast is simple sweets and muffins but the coffee is quite delicious and fresh! Staff were very helpful and friendly! We will come back when it’s warm enough to use the beautiful pool!

A 70s style basic motel with direct beach access and excellent staff… nice pool area … note on breakfast: continental… packaged muffins and goodies … no sit down breakfast area… the motel was not designed to serve meals so don’t expect such. Excellent quiet location… not a lot directly around as far as businesses or restaurants. There is a bar/restaurant across the street that is ok. We took a chance on booking here based solely on the reviews.. Exceeded our expectations and booked for next year.

Really enjoyed the close walk to the beach, very nice atmosphere. Super friendly staff! Easy access to room and close parking. Convenient area. We had a one year old with us and it was very nicely accommodated. Only down side was the morning breakfast muffins went bad and smelled terrible upon opening. If you get the muffins please be sure to check that they are not spoiled. If I didn’t smell it upon opening and accidentally fed it to my baby he definitely would’ve gotten sick and it could’ve ruined the rest of our trip

The bathroom exhaust fan is loud and can only be turned off when the bathroom light is turned off. The shower water was hot and plentiful, and the drain worked properly. Breakfast consists of brewed coffee and a pre-packaged piece of pastry.

In need of refurbishment. Great location next to the beach. Grubby and tatty from the outside. Tried to cook, 1 ring didn't work, 1 just got warm remaining 2 worked but at angle so pans slide down. Dusty and snacks behind bedside cabinet which attracted flies. Lots of smokers when we stayed.
