First the hotel was nice. Having to pay to park not my favorite its across the street in a parking garage. The pool was big but room was cold, the pool was not heated enough for the cold room. The hot tub was nice to make up for cold room. The steam room was a bonus. The room was clean and comfortable. Now to the bad breakfast we paid extra for and it was the worst part of our trip. First our waitress was horrible she never bought us our drinks till after we got the food. The food had sat in the window so top was hard of the gravy but food under gravy was cold. The eggs were not done. The steak was burnt black and rock hard. Now i might have been able to get over food but the service was so bad she came to out table 3 times once to take food order, second to bring food n third to bring check. We had to ask another waitress for our drinks. Then had to pay with that same other waitress. Our waitress couldnt be bothered with us.

For starters, the holiday inn has charged me my deposit and not returned the amounts. I was there on 2 separate stays. 12/3-12/4 wed night and 12/8-12/11, a 3 night stay. They decided to keep $5 from me for each night I was there and all I did was sleep. Their refrigerators DO NOT get cold. I had allergy medication with me that needs to stay cold, and that was a no go on both stays. They let me check a third room, again no good. Warm refrigerators. Then when the AC / heater turned on, my allergies went through the roof to the point where I couldn’t breathe right to even sleep. I had to turn the AC / heater off, which made to room 55° most of the time. There must be a lot of dust or mold in the HVAC units. Not to mention the place is under renovation and there’s next to nothing to do in the hotel because everything is shut down. Pool is drained, workout room is closed down, but not one sign anywhere telling you this. Wouldn’t recommend. P.S. I want my money back that you chose to keep without stating what for. If I took something that would be considered theft, but you don’t return my deposit and that’s not theft?

Very nice & clean. The pool hot tub sauna area was also A+. Convenient attached restaurant with a variety of tasty food. Doing some renovations, yet still was quiet overall. Staff were helpful & friendly too.

We were blown away with how lovely this hotel is. So many beautiful touches- and so clean! We had dinner in their restaurant, which was top tier! There was a very nice car for drinks as well. The swimming pool was a maintained as was the hot tub and sauna. The gym workout area was small but had everything you could need. We arrived early and were permitted early check-in, which was just great. Will definitely stay there again.

I did like that they had a garage. Didn’t get to really see the hotel because we arrived later in the day and most of the stuff inside the hotel were closed. There were also a few hiding fees for stuff to park in the garage a hold on my card for items that might be purchased in the lounge etc. tell this up front on Expedia. It was overly pricy for a 1 night hotel stay as well.

There's construction in the hotel. Be sure to ask for a room as far away as possible from it as it's very noisy M-Sat 9-6:30pm.

The hotel seems to be going through a remodel. Hopefully the rooms will be updated soon. The beds were comfy and the staff that we encountered were absolutely wonderful and so friendly. The kicker is the parking situation. I’ve never felt more sketched out than I was when I was parking at around 10pm. There was an obvious drug deal going down and I felt very unsafe. Do yourself a favor and make sure you are in the hotel before dark.

The lobby has an immediate musty odor upon aarrival. As you look around it is apparent that most common areas are dated, worn, and dirty. To get to the pool you pass employees o ly areas with trash bags in hally way and a few tripping hazards. Staff at front desk was very curt and unwelcoming. No water or refreshments to greet guest. The room was in very nice condition, clean and newly renovated. Location is great. The value is questionable. Top dollar for the area , but not a top dollar type of proeprty or service.

I am really disappointed. I chose this hotel over others in the area that were rated the same but much lower priced because of the hot tub. I get there and it’s closed, my daughter had no hot water at all. Mine was lukewarm. The ice machine on my floor wasn’t plugged in. No vending machines and the safety chain on our door was installed upside down so you couldn’t use it. The lady at the desk said this was actually the case with a lot of rooms so that’s even more concerning. The deadbolt for the adjoining room door wasn’t lined up totally right so it just touched… it didn’t actually lock. Then there was the white substance all over the desk and curtain… I seriously don’t even want to think about what it could be… so nasty.

Not many hotels are truly quiet anbd this one was no exception. Hallway traffic way too loud even during quiet hours and I was put in a room right behind the elevators which should be seriously soundproofed. Okay stay, definately not a "must stay" if I go back to Johnstown

The property is in the middle of renovations and is very lovely inside. It has a nice restaurant. The new toilets are power flush. I understand the reason for them, but we were awake from 3:00 a.m. on, because you could hear the neighboring toilets when they were flushed. This is a very nice hotel but in my opinion, it's expensive for not including free breakfast. There was also a fee to park. Not sure what there is to do in that area, as we only stayed there because we were dropping our son off at college.

We were very happy with the room. The only negative part to the room is that it did not have a microwave. The breakfast was the best we have for the 3 and half weeks we were in the USA. We ate at the restaurant at night time and we could no complain at all the food was good.

What a fantastic experience. From the first person that greeted us, to the restaurant staff, the room and even checking out. I would gladly stay here again and would highly recommend this location for a trip. I have to say that the person that checked us in was a lovely person and explained everything so well.

Didn’t have a room for me when I showed up to check in. Was told they’d call me in 20-30 minutes when they did. Sat at the bar for more than an hour before deciding to just go to a different hotel and when I went to the front desk to cancel was told the miraculously had a room now. Left anyway

Didn’t even stay. You guys can keep the money. The entire downtown is run down, random people all around, and smelled of weed. It was very dirty and felt dangerous. No way I was leaving my motorcycle out there to be stolen or vandalized. If the truth hurts, clean it up.

The service here is amazing. The staff is so friendly. The restaurant is nice and the pool was huge. The only issue we had was that different people at the restaurant applied the kids eat free differently. They need a cohesive policy.
