Outside not inviting construction? TV remote not working had to call for help the extra chair was full of STAINS,phone was old and couldn't reach the front desk.Bed was fine slept well, bathroom needs updating ,staff friendly.The location was good only minutes from train station and take out across the street.

For the price it's tolerable. The renovations are mostly well done but still not totally complete. The bedding is comfortable but the doors, walls and windows are paper thin. If you're a light sleeper ask for a room as far away from the elevator as possible... the bell chime every time it comes to the floor is super annoying. Coffee was decent with flavored creamer options. Pretty busy street it's on and parking seems limited. Powerful shower head with very fragrant soaps affixed to the wall. The towels could use a bleach, they're white but didn't even seem clean. Clock radio not accurate but couldn't figure out how to set it. Fixed the clock on microwave ourselves though. There's no real closet and no tissues in the room. Check in seemed to take quite a long time with no explanation. Seems like the cleaning service only does bare minimum. If we had to, we'd stay again given the lack of other affordable options in the area, but hopefully our specific accommodation requests will be honored if there's a next time.

Room stunk of cigarettes so bad unused clothes had to be washed when we got home. Breakfast is prepackaged Lil Debbie's. No snack or soda machine. Stayed here many times pre pandemic and was satisfied. Won't return. No microwave or coffee maker in room. Elevator is a scary trip.

It\'s an absolute crime that you punch in "lodging" in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, in Expedia and this Econo Lodge is the only property that pops up, as if it is the only hotel in the city (which it is not). Decrepit, aging hotel property under re-construction, in the midst of still serving guests (pardon the bags of cement and construction materials in the lobby, right beside the check-in desk. Filthy hallway carpeting, sub-standard rooms where the TVs mostly don\'t work, no answer at the front desk telephone when calling for directions in how to find the property (which the front desk clerk later said she didn\'t know anyway -- look it up yourself). Sketchy neighborhood, decrepit and forlorn downtown. A dismal experience. I\'ll be contacting the Econo Lodge corporate office for a refund of the $139 it cost to stay in this dump, as well as submitting a well-documented letter, with photos.

The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft, but for me, the pillows were way too fat and firm. The room has been refurbished at some point, but was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. I found a plastic cup of water with spent cigarettes in it shoved to the back of the night table shelf. Gross. Housekeeping was definitely lacking. Some of the staff was friendly, and some was just indifferent.

The room was disgusting to say the least. We found several dead bugs in the bathroom with a layer of dust and grime on the sink. The room smelled like a combination of smoke and urine. In addition, the floor was covered in dirt/grime/sawdust/empty wrappers. When I approached the front desk about it, I was given a broom with NO dustpan to clean up the room. No effort was made to contact housecleaning, and instead I was given a broom to clean up the room I spent $230 for. My wife is pregnant and we couldn’t stay longer than an hour in that room before we left and asked for a refund. Don’t waste your time.

The 100$ deposit was a surprise, only 2 towels and wash clothes for 3 people, didn’t work out well. Dry blood on one of the mattress pads, the shower head needed some bad de-scaling and the insulation was very poor we could hear everything from the room next door.

The bed was clean but there were so many other issues with the room. Pubic hair and dirt around the outside of the tub. Brown stains all over the white shower curtain, brown stains all over the white curtains, green spaltters on the walls, dirty side table, exposes sharp screws, no TV remote.

Check in was backed up due to new software system & only 1 employee working the desk. Got to our room and was hanging a shirt on the clothing rack mounted to the wall when it suddenly came crashing down on my arm. The only response from management was they were sorry. We had nowhere to hang any clothing. The thermostat was hard to work & the unit switched back & forth from heat to air conditioning with no rhyme or reason. The refrigerator made a loud noise which we had to drown out with white noise so we could sleep. Also there were only 2 electrical outlets & both were next to each other by one nightstand. Nothing by the other nightstand and the other outlets in the room had appliances plugged in & weren’t accessible. The toilet was so low it belonged in an elementary school bathroom. On the positive side the mattress was comfortable and the location was convenient/within a short walking distance to the First Summit Arena. We will not be returning to Red Roof anytime soon.

Extremely convenient for any activity located in Johnstown. We were able to easily and safely walk to the restaurant and the concert venue with in minutes. Property was clean, but didn’t have a coffee pot in the room and only one pillow per person on the bed.

They do not have Wi-Fi so know that also the breast is two cupcakes I understand it’s two star yiu get what you pay for but, it’s very misleading. When asking any questions from the afternoon staff they’ll whisper right in front of you third shift was a lot more polite and help about the area would not recommend you stay here just cough up a few more bucks and get a better experience somewhere else

The staff were friendly and helpful. There was limited parking at one point due to spots being filled. Our primary complaint is that the thermostat in our room was broken. There was a space heater and a large portable heater but it was difficult to regulate the temperature of the room with those so it was either very hot or very cold.

Terrible place. The walls are paper thin. The people on my floor made noise all night long. I checked out at 4AM and told the front desk about the noise, and the guy at the front desk (wearing headphones) said “sorry, you should’ve told me earlier.” No offer to make it right in any way.

They would not accept my Expedia Reservation (#72753875128819) dispited it being confirmed. They stated their was a problem with your credit card being rejected and instructed me to contact Expedia. I was forced to use my personal credit card and the Manager still hasn't responded to my request to speak to her for an explanation. I am due a refund of $314.38.

This is a very normal, nice, Red Roof Inn. Nothing fancy, but clean. And it is dog friendly with no up-charge for 1 dog. Parking was also very convenient. Decent restaurants were about 1/2 mile away, but there is a McD’s and a Sheetz right there.

Extremely low water pressure, we heard the tv next door with exceptional clarity, and there appeared to be a vagrant in the lobby, who deliberately shoved me as I was getting on the elevator. Great location for the concert venue, though!

Staff was friendly and helpful. My room was showing evidence of use, especially the laminate floor, but was clean and still better than dingy, stained carpet. Full-time coffee and Breakfast waffle-maker are nice perks. I like this because I can walk to Summit Arena. A very good value.

Absolutely horrific stay. It’s under renovations and I couldn’t even get to the front desk to check in yet the lady insisted on us tossing items back and forth. I was traveling with 2 dogs, one of which is a service animal and the other is not. She accused me of lying to avoid paying the pet fee and demanded to see his paperwork. First, it’s illegal for her to ask for any paperwork on the animal because my disability is none of her business and second there is no governmental department that licenses service animals. There was supposed to be a breakfast but there was no breakfast. There were kids running through the halls yelling and screaming all night long. I don’t mind kids but loud brats in a hotel needs to be addressed.

Online said that there is a pool at this location and that was not the truth. My granddaughter was so disappointed. You can tell the sheets were not new sheets just the bed re made. The shower was dirty. I had to scrub with cleaner. Free breakfast was muffins in a pack and juice. They should re word it because its deceptive. Very disappointed and will never stay here again.
