Upon arrival at the hotel at 3:00 PM — the stated check-in time — we were surprised to find that our room wasn’t ready. We were asked to return at 3:20 PM, only to be told again that it would take another 20 minutes. When I asked for clarification, the receptionist mentioned that check-in is “between 3:00 and 5:00 PM,” something I’ve personally never encountered before, and this detail was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process. Once we finally checked in, we found the room to be clean, which was appreciated. However, the beds were unfortunately not very comfortable, the minibar/fridge didn’t cool properly, and there were no coffee or tea facilities in the room — which is something I would expect at this price point. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, but the rest of the personnel came across as rather indifferent and unwelcoming. On a more positive note, the pool was nice. Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order. That said, the surrounding area is truly stunning and perfect for exploring. All in all, the price-quality ratio was disappointing. What we experienced would be more acceptable in a budget hotel, but not at the rate we paid.

Our room was small, and although the bathroom had been recently renovated, it felt cramped. The view was blocked by a blank wall from the neighboring building. Breakfast was simple with limited vegetable options. Next to the bar, there's a large room with old wooden windows, offering good local beer at decent prices, but it lacks coziness despite its interesting interior. However, the hotel has great potential and could easily be improved. On the positive side, the staff was kind and helpful, and the pool, jacuzzi, and small saunas were perfect for relaxing after hiking. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und verfügt über enen großen Park. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und sauber, allerdings sind nicht alle Zimmer mit einem Fahrstuhl erreichbar. Es gab einen Ausfall der Warmwasser-bereitung, so dass an einem Morgen nicht warm geduscht werden konnte. Die Speisenqualität bei Frühstück und Abendessen ist gut, ansonsten die Präsentation und das Ambiente nur in Ordnung.

The stay was quite comfortable. The hotel location was really nice, close to the nature. The hotel had parking for electric cars with charging points but unfortunately it was not possible to use it without membership of a specific provider which was a shame. I believe hotel can offer such facility to their guests. Rest it was quite nice stay.

Op plaatje ziet hotel er mooi uit. Maar in de praktijk vieze stoffige kamer met te klein bed en continu knipperend lampje op hoog plafond dat niet uitgezet kan worden. Probeerde ‘s nachts dit te melden bij receptie, maar die is ‘s nachts gesloten. Na paar x toch telefonisch verbinding met iemand die naar kamer komt maar het niet kan oplossen. Ben blij dat ‘‘s nachts geen gezondheidsprobleem is gebeurd, want hotel gaat je niet helpen. Klacht ingediend en er gebeurt niets mee behalve tekst ‘ja had anders gemoeten’…. Ontbijt heel matig. Emplacement chouette près de Dinant si vous avez une voiture. Espace piscine et restaurant très bien. Petite terrasse extérieure appréciée. ***La chambre était toutefois très ordinaire, la tête de lit tachée et rebutante et le divan lit inconfortable. Le tapis du sol était tâché également. Inconcevable pour le prix. Nous ne reviendrons pas malheureusement.

1 belangrijke opmerking : het feit dat er honden toegelaten zijn in het hotel in alle kamers en er overal tapijt ligt geeft dit een onhygiënisch gevoel. Voor de rest alles ok eten, vriendelijkheid personeel etc.

Im Zimmer sehr muffig und es stank sehr stark nach Hund, Tierhaare im Badezimmer ( Badewanne) Urinflecken auf Teppichboden, Frühstück war ok, bis daß alles nach Fisch gerochen und geschmeckt hat. Das Gebäude und die Umgebung war toll voll in der Natur. Nach der Reklamation an der Rezeption wurde uns mitgeteilt, es wir weitergeleitet, aber keine richtige Reaktion. Eigentlich sehr Schade.

We had a lovely stay here for our 25th anniversary. Our room was spacious & bed was comfortable. The bar area and lounge were very nice for a nightcap. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Lots of choices. The grounds are beautiful and great place to take a hike or walk. I do believe you should offer a shuttle a few times during day. We had a car & had to drive into town. But, would be inconvenient if you don’t have a car. The shower could’ve used a thorough scrub. There was some mold. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is found on a beautiful country road about 10 minutes outside of Dinant! Gorgeous property with hiking trails and a rock climbing area and amazing breakfast buffet! Our room could’ve slept 7 with pull out beds (though those are never that comfy) and had both a bath/shower and stand-up shower in the bathroom. My only complaint is lack of air conditioning, it says a/c on the add but it’s controlled by a central unit and the rooms were hot at night (it was 26-29 degrees most days but still…)

The location was great - a castle turned into a hotel, in the middle of nowhere. The room was also very large. But the room was unbearably hot, and the thermostat didn't work. The pillows were horrible, literally full of air which deflated once you put your head down. As a result we had the worst night's sleep in quite a while.

I enjoyed my stay at the Castel. Directional signage to get there could be a bit better. The scenery is spectacular. We are surrounded by nature. The shower in the single rooms should be a bit larger.

Emplacement chouette près de Dinant si vous avez une voiture. Espace piscine et restaurant très bien. Petite terrasse extérieure appréciée. ***La chambre était toutefois très ordinaire, la tête de lit tachée et rebutante et le divan lit inconfortable. Le tapis du sol était tâché également. Inconcevable pour le prix. Nous ne reviendrons pas malheureusement.

Our room was small, and although the bathroom had been recently renovated, it felt cramped. The view was blocked by a blank wall from the neighboring building. Breakfast was simple with limited vegetable options. Next to the bar, there's a large room with old wooden windows, offering good local beer at decent prices, but it lacks coziness despite its interesting interior. On the positive side, the staff was kind and helpful, and the pool, jacuzzi, and small saunas were perfect for relaxing after hiking. Op plaatje ziet hotel er mooi uit. Maar in de praktijk vieze stoffige kamer met te klein bed en continu knipperend lampje op hoog plafond dat niet uitgezet kan worden. Probeerde ‘s nachts dit te melden bij receptie, maar die is ‘s nachts gesloten. Na paar x toch telefonisch verbinding met iemand die naar kamer komt maar het niet kan oplossen. Aucun problème avec l'hôtel, accueil parfait, chambre confortable, espace piscine super. Manque juste une bouilloire dans la chambre. Par contre mauvaise expérience au restaurant. Nous avions demandé 2 jus de fruits pour l'aperitif et 1 biere pour le repas. Tout est arrivé en même temps que le plat. Du coup nous avons fait annuler un jus de fruit ce qui n'a pas du tout plus a la serveuse qui a été très désagréable pour la suite du diner. Dommage

Lovely hotel in beautiful and serene surroundings. The staff were quick to accommodate my husband who has accessibility issues, and this hotel accepts dogs. There is lots of space outside for dogs to exercise in and also a walk out the back past some beautiful rock faces. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and again the food was very good. Our room had an incredible view over the valley

Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und verfügt über enen großen Park. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und sauber, allerdings sind nicht alle Zimmer mit einem Fahrstuhl erreichbar. Es gab einen Ausfall der Warmwasser-bereitung, so dass an einem Morgen nicht warm geduscht werden konnte. Die Speisenqualität bei Frühstück und Abendessen ist gut, ansonsten die Präsentation und das Ambiente nur in Ordnung.

Mooi gelegen hotel in de natuur. Aardig personeel en prettig verblijf. Ontbijtbuffet is karig. Ook een avond diner gereserveerd. De kwaliteit is redelijk maar daar is het ook mee gezegd. Een bediende liep rond en vulde waar mogelijk de broodjes aan echter niet bij ons terwijl ze zag dat ons brood op was. Voelde een beetje vreemd aan.

Alles was heel erg goed, behalve de spaghetti bij het avondeten was totaal vies om te eten. Meerdere tafels klaagden ervan! Heel erg jammer, in ons geval toch 36 euro weggegooid. We zijn de dag erna in Dinant gaan eten omdat de stoofvlees ook niet top was. We hadden gedacht buffet te hebben, dat was 2 jaar geleden fantastisch! Helaas was dat er niet. Jammer, want voor de rest is dit hotel top, met een geweldig ontbijt erbij!
