Courtyard Indianapolis at the Capitol

The room was absolutely amazing. Very large and spacious. The location was perfect within walking distance to groceries, restaurants and our concert venue which made this hotel very convenient. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. Will utilize again for future visits.

Parking is outrageously expensive, $33 per night. There is plenty of street parking available right outside with a fraction of the cost.

Disappointed with staff and with Expedia advertising that the parking was included with the room rate. Staff said it was not and charged us. Unwilling to even work with us on some sort of compromise. Frustrating that Expedia advertises something that the hotel won't honor.

Courtyard Marriott on Senate Ave was a decent facility BUT there's always room for improvement. These are the areas that need updates/repairs: 1. The mini fridge in my room didn’t not get cold at all. Lights activate when the door was opened but no chill at all. 2. The TVs need to be updated to Smart TVs. 3. The parking lot charges are extreme; parking lot isn't even in good condition - it needs to be repaved.

Didn’t like that we had to pay extra for parking and the pool wasn’t very good.

Room was just kind of dingy, mattress HARD, pool had clumps of hair floating in it. Probably would not book again.

The property was great! Everything was super clean. However, there was no mention of the $30 a day parking. I didn’t find out until I got there.

Parking is $33 a night.

Our room was infested with ants. They were all over the desk/counter. When I booked on Expedia, I was quoted one price, but was not informed there was a $30/night parking fee. The parking ticket machine was broken and front desk said they would validate tickets but never did because you cannot print a ticket. Therefore I was charged an extra $60.

Check in was wonderful. Quick and easy, had couple issues with room though. Heat was turned off when entering the room for first time, took longer than expected for shower to heat up, and noticed faded out blood spots on sheet. But definitely enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back later on, hopefully under warmer conditions though.

The carpet and drapes were full of stains and the shower was in rough shape too.

I stayed here for 1 night. Very clean and quiet. Comfortable room. Friendly staff.

The windows in our room were filthy. The ice machine on 4th floor was out for our entire stay. There wasn't body wash in our bathroom. I was able to flag housekeeping down after two days. Rooms need a larger wastebasket if you are cleaning the rooms every other day. The front desk was very friendly!

I really like the location of this hotel for getting to things on the north side of downtown. The parking is way more convenient than any other downtown hotel. The room is fine, the bathroom wasn’t really as clean as I would have expected for $200/night

Overall the hotel was great. Our complaint is that we qere thwre Friday-Monday and received no housekeeping. We had to go to the fro t deak for clean towels. (Not the end of the world, but an inconvenience)

Room was great! Comfy, clean and quiet.

I asked for housekeeping when I checked in. No one cleaned my room during my stay. No new coffee. Breakfast choices were very limited and I did not care for my food both days. Bathroom door frame is molded and needs painting. Sink on vanity is cracked. Great location and easy access to mall and restaurants.

The staff were cheerful and helpful. The plumbing had issues = the toilet was slow to flush and the shower was slow to drain, plus there was a lot of unwanted hair in the shower.

The hotel was difficult to find from the street - there needs to be better signage for motorists to find their way there. The one-way streets downtown made trying to get in frustrating. Staff was nice and the room was clean, but the fixtures seemed like they had at one point been ripped off the wall and poorly patched on, and the headboard of the bed were just couch cushions? very weird. Overall, this place is all right and is close to the convention center and restaurant options.

The room itself was nice and clean. Outside noise was a lot. Unable to get any sleep due to the outside volume.

Pull out couch mattress was horrible and king bed was ok. Beds are not comfy for a Marriott property. Not as nice as I temember from our ladt stay here.

We had an end room. 201. The heat/AC was very noisy. Also heard a popping noise at night. Hard to get a comfortable temperature. Otherwise a beautiful, clean property.

On the first night the room had no heat. Unpacking was already done, and had traveled almost four hours. They wanted to switch rooms, but was too tired for the nonsense. Switched rooms the next day, and was moved into a room whereby the television did not work. Ended up moving into another room. The stay was not pleasant, and I was not compensated properly by the hotel for my disappointment…

Liked the shower. Didn’t like that when you turn the light on in the shower the fan comes on also. Should be two switches. Bed was comfy. Curtains were not able to darken the room due to the ac unit location. Staff was very pleasant.

Raleigh was absolutely amazing. She was able to help get me squared away, and was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable!

There's loud noise and screaming in the room next to me and I called the front desk to report it but no receptionist answered the phone. Not cool. I hope it doesn't happen all night or I'll go sleep in the lobby.

Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is in a great location next to canal, museums, etc. The staff were incredible. Everyone was so friendly and went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. They provided suggestions for dining and excursions. It’s really the staff that made the hotel stay so lovely.

Driving our 2nd segment of a long haul from Denver to Baltimore, I called the Indianapolis Courtyard Marriott and spoke with the lovely and kind Vickie at the front desk. I let her know we would be arriving after midnight, she was very helpful and set us up for that late check in. When we arrived she greeted us and is very knowledgeable about the property. (Thank you Vickie for the much needed directions to fruit and snacks!) The King room was perfect, standard Courtyard Marriott, clean, good AC, big TV, extra pillow and blanket in the closet, fridge, coffee, microwave, couch, desk, table and office chair. No complaints. Courtyard Marriott's standard 12 noon checkout was a key factor in our choice for this trip due to the long haul cross country. There were multiple choices approximately the same price, but they lost the bid with 11am check-out! The parking was also safe and only $30 compared to $42 and $50 nearby. We also wanted to self park (not valet) due to renting a Chrysler Van loaded full for our trip, so it was perfect. Checkout was a breeze. I definitely recommend this hotel in Indianapolis, it's also pretty close to the Soldiers and Sailors monument and a whole foods with a hot bar and garage parking. Overall a great stay and experience. The noon checkout time will always be on my mind when comparing hotels in the future, we also stayed at Junction City Courtyard the previous night, it was extremely helpful for our trip!

Staff was amazing all around. Second time we have stayed here and will stay again.

I arrived in this area for a healthcare conference. On my first day, I noticed a constant drip in my shower and thought little of it, perhaps my morning shower will fix the issue. After my shower, I noticed there was still a drip and because my conference had still not started I called the front desk. A nice lady answered and said that she would let Maintenance know. After a few hours, I called again because no one had arrived. The same nice lady answered and said she would call again to see if they had an ETA and call me back. She never called back. My conference started the next day and I accepted the fact that it would most likely be fixed on Monday. However, it wasn't and there was now a banging sound above the sink. As it was late in the day, I reported it the following day; however, this time when someone looked. He said he would be back. When he came back he was escorted by the front desk clerk and I was told that I would have to change rooms. Though they were nice about it; I didn't see the urgency. They insisted. I was already having a miserable day (unrelated to Courtyard). After an hour of packing, I went down the hall to another room. When I started unpacking my grocery items, I noted a bug (I have pictures if you want them) and then another bug and another. I called to ask for another room. The third room worked fine and I was given some cool perks (a $10 voucher and free breakfast).

The front desk guy was the rudest person I have encountered. And not only to me but I also witnessed this guy being rude to other people staying at this hotel. Our room was clean but I will not be staying here again.

Very nice hotel with easy walking to Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium. Facility well kept and clean.

Close and convenient to downtown as well the IUI/PUI campus. Very sufficient onsite parking.

Friendly staff upon arrival. Easy check-in. Convenient location and walking distance to a number of restaurants and venues. Grocery store is only a block away.

The staff were all amazing. The stay overall was good. It is downtown but walking to many of local restaurants and attractions was not ideal. I took a Lyft everywhere for the most part. (The prices were reasonable.)

We wanted a nice hotel within walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium.

Tucked away in downtown Indy between downtown and the canal. Very walkable to everywhere we went.

Breakfast was expensive and not many options without meat. Staff was the best part. Every single staff member was awesome.

Booking with Expedia got me a free breakfast. Which was great, because the sandwich was good. But not $12.50 good.

Staff was so nice and breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel...a bistro manned by a chef that prepared an really nice meal.

$30 parking fee is excessive... in the morning they take away the free coffee and make you pay for it along with breakfast, bathroom has a lot of areas of water damage.. needs a little updating. For the price i expected a bit more

Well priced rooms, very rural area. Be aware it is $30 to pak in a parking lot! Quite ritzy! $62 for a pitcher of sangria at happy hour!

Service was very friendly and helpful. Rooms out of date, showers had stains and our room had ants. They do have a nice bar area, but no free breakfast.

The hotel was nice and the complimentary breakfast was terrific. It was like a bistro and you could order off a small menu. They brought the food to you. Very nice and super good. The room was nice. There was a big stain on the carpet and some old stains on the blanket underneath the comforter but overall the room was very clean and comfortable.
