Super 8 by Wyndham Midwest City OK

The night clerk that checked this in Kirk was an amazing guy and had great customer service skills. He was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the room was not very clean and smelled like cigarettes and even though it was a non-smoking room and the swimming pool was closed on a Saturday Because of chemicals that they had put in the pool, which you would think they would do that during the week and not on the weekend

It is an inexpensive hotel with some surprisingly good amenities - a nice inside courtyard with a well-maintained pool. The landscaping - especially in the courtyard - is well-maintained and good-looking. During our 4-day stay, the staff worked hard at cleaning, including emptying public accessible trash cans and outdoor areas. They are pet-friendly and charge $15/day for each pet, which is reasonable. (We travelled with a small well-behaved dog.) The staff was friendly and cooperative. Things got a bit noisy in the morning a couple of times with housekeeping staff talking loud to each other near the rooms which can be annoying. They should try to keep it a little quieter. The location is bordered by a car dealership and IH-40 with easy access from the interstate. The time into downtown Oklahoma City is 10-12 minutes. The management is definitely trying to run a clean place, and it shows. It is an older hotel with carpeting in the rooms. Our room was clean and functional with some nice amenities such as a refrigerator (very cold) and microwave (worked great), coffee maker (one cup) and hair dryer. The towels deserve a special mention - very soft and possibly the best we've seen at a low-cost place like this! The TV worked fine. I felt safe walking my dog at night (even 3AM) at this location. I would not feel this safe at a downtown OKC location, so this is a good alternative to staying downtown which is only 10-12 minutes away. Overall rating is 4 stars - thanks!

Was bummed pool was closed the first day I got there but other than that love this hotel not a fan of the room service or the breakfast option but not every hotel can afford the luxury that that can be definitely would stay again. They were nice to have clean towels and trash empty when I got back Saturday night as well but had to make my bed myself which I don’t mind either love that there are fridges and microwaves in the rooms as well. Also did have a little trouble with internet as well really slow

I wish I took pictures but I was so ready to be out, as soon as we woke up we got dressed and left. We needed a room for the night after a business event and at 11:30 at night, not much available that isn't going to break the bank ($200+). If I wasn't so tired and soaking wet from benig rained on that I just wanted a bed so didn't expect it to be as bad as it was. The floors were filthy (your feet would stick to it if you walked without shoes on) and it literally would only take mopping to take care of this. Bedding was stained and had burn holes all over it, beds were hard as the floor. A dog bed would have been more comfortable. The dresser was literally falling apart, as was the shower with some of its pieces sitting on the bathroom counter. There was holes in the walls, the headboard that was supposed to be stuck to the wall was falling off. Lamp shades that were there (one lamp was even missing one) was broken. Only rooms where you can see your vehicle from your room are on the same side as the office, so maybe 5% was acceptable, the rest was not because you have to walk quite a ways from the parking lot to your room and it is ONLY outside entrance to rooms. THAT FOR ME IS UNACCEPTABLE and for women traveling alone, EXTREMELY UNSAFE! I could keep going and going. This place needs shut down 100%. I will also be posting this review on Google so the company can't manage to get this review hidden. For anyone above those running the place, the room was 112.

It was adjacent to where our 3 day meeting took place. It was quiet. Having coffee before leaving the room in the morning was a good thing. Lighting was reasonable, but a little darker than I am used to. Bathroom was clean.

All the cheaper places are worn-out. Full of dope and what goes with it. Im 70 years old. They put me on the second floor. No way to park so you can view car. Only one room was further away from office.

The hotel doubles as a low income residence. All rooms for one night hotel patrons are on second floor and no elevator. Requested pet friendly room. Bed was raised off floor and box frame cover was shredded. Had to keep cats in bathroom to keep them from getting in bedframe. Free breakfast was packets of oatmeal and hot water. No milk, bread, bagels, eggs, yogurt, etc. Cops showed up at 4:00 am. Beware of this place!

The room smelled urine, trash under the bed, floor not vacuumed, mold in shower, no exhaust fan, burnt receptical, no phone plugged in to contact desk, no phone charging, internet was not working

The first room someone was already in there, so I unlocked the door and saw two people having sex, the 2nd room had A LOT of roaches, the 3rd room wasnt clean so the bed wasnt made and there was a vacuum in the middle of the floor and had a terrible order.. the 4th room seem ok until I pulled back the cover to check for bed bugs😳😳 there was hair and other things in the bed so housekeeping never changed the sheets, they just made the bed up nice and neat smh

We ended up leaving. There was black mold in the bathroom, there were all kids of stains on the towels, ripped bedding, and the AC was not working well to cool the room off. The picture online is not what the room was like.

It was very dirty, the room had a terrible smell, microwave and fridge didn’t work at all. Bathroom was dirty. I woke at 2:30am being ATE ALIVE by BED BUGS! My husband went to eat his pizza from 3 hours prior and opened it to tons of ROACHES. And to find under the beds was full of trash and it was absolutely filthy!!!! Was NOT worth the 75.00 we spent!

While waiting in line to check in, a cockroach kept running across the desk counter. When I entered the room I noticed the huge dents on the back of the door besides the the carpet being terribly stained. Bathroom was definitely needing to be updated, paint was peeling off the walls, shower door was all messed up. While taking a shower I noticed the shower was not clean at all- tight long curly hair was everywhere. The towels were covered in hair as if Mr. T was shaving his pubes over them. Thankful I always bring my own towels when traveling

Was dirty curtains were dirty. Carpet was dirty paint peeling holes in the wall lightbulbs burned out no lampshades mold in the bathroom shower. And the room smelled.

Every corner in the room had dead bugs and dirt in it. There was only one towel that did not appear to have been used to scrub muddy boots and then be rinsed out, dried and folded. There was black mold growing out of the pea trap, that looked like it was holding the pipes in place. There was long dark hairs stuck to the walls of the room and shower and hanging out of the blow dryer. My wife's hair got stuck to the sticky red splatter on the wall as she was taking off her shoes. The smell of the room was smoke mixed with mold. Not to mention, it took almost an hour to get checked into my room. There was one one person working the desk and the poor woman was running ragged having to make multiple calls to confirm reservations. Overall, I would give this place a -1 if it were possible.

The room is absolutely disgusting. Cigarette burns all over the beds, dirty, stained bedding and curtains. Graffiti on furniture, dead bugs on floor, hair in shower, bathroom door kicked in, no way to lock the door. Room was way smaller than made out to be. Looked nothing like the photos online.

The sheets and comforter were dirty. Carpet was dirty. We did not stay. Requested for a refund by contacting expedia customer service.

There was broken glass in the bathroom. No remote for the tv. Outlet did not work in bathroom.

It needs to be updated desperately!!

Shower leaked real bad, no latch on restroom door, pillows very small and no hair dryer. Good air!

The rom as well as the complex was dated but the room was comfortable. The only problem I experienced was the shower door which would not stay closed.

The room was very tiny. It was a handicap accessible room could barely even move around in the room. Don’t think that it fit ADA approved. It was so loud with the people above us till almost 3 o’clock in the morning. The toilet was less than a foot off the floor, definitely not handicapped. The light switch was stuck between two towel racks and the sink leaked on my feet as I brushed my teeth. There was no shower chair would not recommend this room to anybody. Also the bed was so small for two people was a tight fit.

Bed was very uncomfortable, had a big dip in it. I rolled right into the dip. It gave me a bad back ache. I had to use chair to help me stand up. My back was left aching for 3 days. Also there was a big spider above window. Had to have staff come and remove it. Unhappy with television service. No breakfast accommodations.

They also want a deposit for their rundown dump of a property. If I had known this was a 2 star hotel, I'd chose somewhere else. There was blood on the curtain, cigarette burns in the sheets, and none of the plugs worked upon arrival but later worked again when the manager flipped the breakers. Roaches crawled on the walls and ceiling with cardboard covering a towel stuffed hole in the bathroom. Found out their "free breakfast" was just honey buns, oatmeal packets, and granola bars. Apple Juice they had in the machine tastes fermented. Least the coffee was decent. The residents who pay monthly to be there constantly ask you for cigarettes and look creepily at the pool. The management attempted to move us to a different room with much of the same issues as the room before. Their explanation of the curtains was a deflection of the issue saying, "the owner will be removing and replacing next weekend." It does nothing for the three days we stayed. The only good part was one housekeeper, who did everything he could to help our stay, and the air conditioner was cold and crisp. This motel, using Wyndham name, should be used as an example of how not to keep your property. If you have service animals, be prepared to show your paper because management demands it, which is illegal. Avoid at all costs..

There are drug deals in the parking lot. Hookers we're hanging out also. My room looked terrible. The desk was falling apart and the shower was scary. I was afraid the ceiling was going to fall on top of me. I would add photos but the system won't let me

Booked online and nowhere did it inform you that they also required a $20 deposit once you checked in that was probably my biggest complaint overall the receptionist waved it which was nice and it wasn’t her fault but it would be nice if the online source would report that so a customer isn’t blinded when they go into check-in. It’s already paying over $50 for the room and then to be surprised with an additional 20 that they require pretty annoying.

Somewhat clean, the front desk attendant was probably the best thing about this place. Very helpful!

Things were as expected. Room was fairly clean but acceptable. Receptionist was wonderful and very helpful with getting me the room I needed.

Elizabeth made staying at Super 8 super fun. She was friendly and efficient. I wanted to stay longer and hang out with her.

Arrived to check in, the lady at front desk seemed as though she didn’t want to be there was not friendly at all.. On the 2nd day after we asked for another towel a housekeeping manager and a gentleman were yelling from downstairs to upstairs about shortages of towels and other issues within super 8 our room had mold in the bathroom got 2 towels for 7 days for 3 people because of “shortage of towels”. We stayed a total of 7 nights and had our room serviced one time because after day 3 I finally asked someone walking by my room. I left a note on the counter to tidy up beds take trash and replace towels and vacuum. They did not touch the beds or take the trash they left it on our tv stand. And our towels got folded and put back on the rack. And needless to say. It didn’t get vacuumed either. Im not sure what happend in there😂 Just spend the extra few dollars on a good room.

The staff was excellent. The gentleman that checked us in was so helpful. I had two rooms booked as I was having surgery the next morning. He worked to get our rooms together and directed us to a local dinner that was close and very good. He made a difficult stay just a bit better. Thank you

It was ok checking in was a problem! Their outdated computer system had me checking in for over 30 minutes! They held $20 deposit it’s not been returned onto debit card, I would hesitate to use Wyndham because of that

Other than calling the cops due to rowdy neighbors at 1 AM that even the hotel management could not get to quiet down, the hotel was clean and very reasonably priced. Will not let one incident keep from going back there

Felt very uncomfortable all night

This property is horrible.. did not stay.. found another motel.. insecure about staying.. would like full refund.. would not recommend to no one

Rooms definitely smaller than pictures made it appear. Shower curtain mildew. Stains on the towels. Bedspread had several stains of unknown origin. Location near Tinker AFB Main gate was a plus. Lady at the front desk was very friendly. That was the bright spot. Price was close to in-line for the property. It's between a 1 and 2 star place.

The breakfast they offered was just oatmeal and nature valley bars. Not a real breakfast

The room was nice, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was put away at 0800, not 0900 as posted, but staff replenished everything needed.
