Hampton Inn Bloomington

This property was very clean and convenient to get in and out. This property had plenty of parking.

They had a pool that was perfect for my kids and they had tons of fun. It was very convenient to be able to walk over and have them be entertained for hours and not bother me.

Comfortable and clean, with extremely smooth check-in process. There is currently major construction going on accross the street, so hard to pull in/out from Walnut Street.

The location was very accessible and convenient. It was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the breakfast was delicious! Lots of choices!

I slept better in this hotel than I have in any other hotel! Everything was great, including the pool. We'll be back.

Hotel right by university campus. In mid August 2024 there was a lot of construction next door and competition for parking since many of the construction crew were staying at this Hampton. Otherwise a typical Hampton. Great huge dog park 5 minute drive away.

They had an outdoor pool that was right next to the hotel and was the perfect height for my kids! It was a little dirty though.

Marla and i loved the pool. There was enough seating and lounge chairs for all.

Everything was fine. We were here for NSO for IU and we were close to campus and the location was convenient for everything we needed. Staff was very courteous and efficient. Hotel was clean. We had a nice stay. Thank you.

Property is poorly cleaned and managed. I had to change rooms because room was disgusting. Stains on all walls and door in bathroom, hair in tub, on sink, and bed. Moved to second room and it was just as bad as the first. Got an attitude from housekeeping management because I asked for sheets to be changed and room to be cleaned. Property did not offer compensation or refund for inconvenience. Would never stay again. Stay at your own risk

Very clean property. Construction next door was very close to the hotel, but wasn't a problem once I got inside. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. I would stay here again.

Staff was nice. However, our room was not as nice as most Hampton Inns. It smelled. The fridge was broken, and the ceiling in the bathroom was brown. There was also a man sleeping in his car in the parking lot when we were looking for a space.

Disappointed, as there was a card saying “tipping just got easier “ with a QR code inside the room. Yet my son and I saw what looking cookie crumbs on the floor around the beds Then early morning went down for breakfast and saw the fruit basket with rotten (Moldy) oranges. Shocking that they would actually put that out.

The floors throughout could be cleaner, but otherwise the hotel is fine. Rooms are on the smaller side with a sliding door for the bathroom facing right at and just feet from the bed.

Liked this hotel. Didn't care much for the bathroom door, though. I understand it saves space but the pocket door cheapened the room, in my opinion.

The hotel was really clean, the staff very friendly, beds are comfortable , and the tv in the room was large. The only negative was the rattling in the wall heating unit that woke me up a few times at random times.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. But the layout was odd. Instead of a full window, only 1/3 of the outer wall was window, the rest was a shallow closet behind a curtain. Also, the door to the bathroom was right next to the bed so the room looks right into the bathroom. Finally, our room was directly across from the elevator so we heard all hallway noise at all hours.

Liked the location. It was near Indiana University where I needed to be. Staff was nice. My room was smelly, musky, like the smell from wet carpet. Also the shower was kind of clogged, water accumulated in the tub and didn’t drain right away. There’s no closet in the room, just a space behind the curtain that serves as a “closet” Breakfast wasn’t great either! I won’t be staying at this property again.

We really liked our stay except for the thin walls. Felt like we had our next door neighbors setting right in the room For the price everything was very nice.. just hope no guests are booked right next to you.

The hotel seemed just worn. There was some renovation but it was surface level. Also rooms were small and ceilings were low

First you ripped us off for double the price the property was charging. Second it’s a very poorly maintained hotel. Third the towels were horrible. The room was very small. But to charge us &830 for that dump was robbery!

Decent - paper thin walls

Unfortunately, our first room smelled heavily of marijuana, so had to switch. Then while we were unpacking, another person came into our room, somehow they were checked into the same room, which was an incredibly awkward situation. Then we had to get new keys made because ours were deactivated, then we were awoken after midnight with a fire alarm due to someone smoking in the hallway, it seemed (this is what the person at the front I desk assumed). All the staff was very nice but it was not a great day.

Worst Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. I was given a handicap room even though I did not reserve one. The handicap shower had a removable head that did not work properly and had horrible water pressure. The AC in the room was extremely load and normally I like the white noise but the rattle was too much. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6 and I was there 2 minutes early because I had to eat and run because of my schedule. I was told by the rude server it would be at least 15 minutes late and then she proceeded in slamming the door in my face.

This is our go to hotel in Bloomington Indiana. This recent visit was made even better by the front desk staff who were friendly and professional.

Would not recommend unless your only option is sleeping in your vehicle. We booked a room on March 1 for a college visit. Sent an email to the manager next day and never got a response. Not a single “Sorry that we disappointed…”. Nothing. We will not stay at a Hampton Inn again. Not the brand it used to be. Here’s the message: We want to share some information with you about our stay at your hotel (Hampton Inn Bloomington) When we got to the room the keys didn’t work. I went back to the desk & was given 2 new keys, which also didn’t work. The man at the desk then went up with us & brought a device to charge the digital key reader. Then we pulled open the sofa bed for our daughter & found mouse feces in the sheets (the sofa bed was pre-made). We went back downstairs. I wanted to refund our stay & find another hotel but we were told a refund wasn't possible b/c we booked through Expedia. understood. We were given keys for room 302. We pulled that sofa bed open, which revealed toys, water bottle & food wrappers underneath & still likely there. There were no sheets for sofa bed so we went back down to the desk yet again for sheets. We were given two fitted sheets. neighbors had a loud party until around 11 PM & at 12:45 AM the fire alarm went off…. Why?? Never got an apology. We chose Hampton because of the brand & thought that would ensure clean rooms & good customer services for a reasonable price. No longer the case. Don’t waste your money. Mary

We had a wonderful stay. Room we stayed in was perfectly set up. Deonte was very helpful throughout our weekend. Hot breakfast was a great start to each day. All staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again when in the area!

property was quiet, very comfortable, but there was a large construction project across the street, that made the area hectic and unsafe (car crashes/police). The quiet can't be emphasized enough as it kept at bay the construction

Convenient location near IU. Driveway was being repaved during our stay, but otherwise, we have no complaints.

Close to Simon Skjdot Assembly Hall and the university campus. Great place to stay. Will do so in the future.

Spur of the moment trip. Breakfast was not good. No breakfast meats. CHICKEN NUGGETS!!!

Super fast check in and check out. Facility was very clean, breakfast was good. My daughter needed a band aid but none were available for sale and when we asked the front desk, they gave us 2 band aids. Customer service was top notch and greatly appreciated.

Parking was convenient. Room and common area very clean. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Very good free breakfast with kitchen staff attentive to refilling/replacing items. Very comfortable bed. Clean and modern bathroom. (Fan did not work in bathroom.) Heating/air conditioning functioned well. Had to ask for replacement towels - disappointed staff did not come into room to make bed and replace linens and coffee service. Affordable room rate.

This Hampton Inn was acceptable but the experience was not up to the brand’s usual standard. The property was not spotless. The breakfast presentation was unappealing and uninspired. The lobby seating was cramped. My room did not have a closet in which I could hang my suit. I was required to have a hanger in my car to ensure it was not towed. On my next trip to Bloomington I will choose to stay elsewhere.

Breakfast was nasty. Drink machine was not working so we ate with no drink. I asked the lady for some water at least and she said there wasn’t any. Lady was lazy just sitting there didn’t greet or even acknowledge anyone there
