We stayed at the Palace for 2 nights as part of a Tuscany tour. The hotel is right opposite the beach and promenade . Parking is using the local street parking . Local restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. The hotel terrace bar is a must to witness the wonderful sunsets .

Av en eller annen grunn opplevde vi godt renhold på dobbeltrommet og ikke fullt så godt på enkeltrommet. Men totalinntrykket var likevel bra, flott frokostsal med veldig god frokost og herlig mat og utsikt fra restauranten på takterrassen. Opplegget med gateparkering kan være utfordrende hvis du kommer med bil, men det løste seg. Kort avstand til strand og restauranter er et pluss.

Everything about this newly-renovated hotel was perfect-from the unexpected upgrade to a terrace deluxe room at check in, to the “over the top” food and service at the rooftop restaurant. This century-old art nouveau architectural beauty sits right on the Viareggio promenade, which also has been significantly upscaled since the Pandemic. The evening scene from the roof terrace and the street level is simply magical. A special thanks goes out to Francesca at the concierge desk and Gabriela, the breakfast hostess. They were so kind to accommodate our little dog (who could not be in the breakfast dining room) by giving us access to the expansive breakfast buffet (including bubbles!) from the beautiful court yard garden each morning during our stay. We cannot wait to return to this special place; it is our new “go to” destination in Versilia.

Palace? More like a budget B&B, where you’re charged €360 for a basic street view room per night with old furniture… Check your bill when checking out because they tried to charge two separate dinners worth about €200 which we didn’t have. When pointed out, there was no apology! I’ve never seen a beachfront hotel charging for beach towels before. Here you rent them for €3 each! And of course the sunbeds and umbrellas are extra… Beach itself is more like a mall’s car park with never ending slots. The management is so cheap, apparently there’s only two irons for the entire hotel! And every time you ask for one to be left in the room, they just collect it back after an hour…. When I complained and requested it back, the man at the reception called Julian gave me smirk and a shrug instead of an apology and rejected my request to share my feedback with the management. There is a rooftop bar with a very poor selection of wines (one generic white and one red) served by the glass at €10 each - and you’re in Tuscany… Also the set up is so weird, you don’t get to see the sunset from any of the front row seats as the view is blocked by the pillars of the wall unless you stand up… a glass wall would’ve just fixed it. Dirty and worn communal spaces, as well as very outdated interiors. It’s a pity cause the location is lovely but it’s a terribly managed hotel.

Beautiful hotel very close to the beach and boardwalk. We were upgraded to a room ocean view with balcony and enjoyed the view but unable to leave doors open due to road noise. Air conditioning did not work well for the warm weather in July. Otherwise we recommend.

It’s a beautiful building and a great rooftop bar but the property is dated, rooms are stuffed up and need som me love and there is a strange rule that was not clearly stated on the booking page that the hotel is not allowed to put air conditioning on before mid May. Unfortunately not a great experience for a warm day!

We upgraded to a room with a view and it was beautiful with views of the ocean. The room was a little smaller than anticipated but it was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful with great restaurant recommendations and information. The breakfast room was beautiful and they had a wonderful selection to choose from every morning. We enjoyed our stay very much. We didn’t have a car for parking so I can’t comment on that.

The hotel is not worth the rating and the money. It’s old and requires a lot of renovations. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioning, it hardly worked during our stay and we asked the front desk staff to look into it every day. Someone would come in and fix it and then the cleaning staff would turn it off, causing it to break again. The showers leak. They also lost our dry cleaning and after regular follow up, asking them to call the laundry facility, we finally got it back 30 mins before our checkout

Lovely property. However, we found one staff member who needed to be more informed about local activities and dining. We were directed to a museum that had already closed, then to a restaurant that was closed. All other staff were found to be friendly helpful and knowledgeable.

Flott hotell med fantastisk beliggenhet ved stranden. Hyggelig betjening spesielt ved frokost og de vi hadde kontakt med i resepsjonen. Flott restaurant på taket med utsikt for en kjempefin solnedgang men drinkene der var for sterke etter vår smak. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake til dette hotellet.
