Pool was nice. Wish there were towels at the pool

The property was very clean and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. The rooms were cool, as it was very hot outside and the air conditioner was quiet. The pool was heated and very enjoyable. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly and thorough. It was a great stay for the price and we will definitely return when we are in the Peterborough area.

The hotel was clean as was the room. The breakfeast and 24 hour coffee was also good. My only complaint would be that the pool was closed for maintenance and I was not made aware of this when booking the room.

Staff were great, the room was 16° When we arrived, hot tub closed despite website indicating it as an amenity, very thin walls in this place, at 2am listening to a guest above us with tv volume cranked as they stomped around the room. front desk attended and it was turned down. Breakfast was good.

Pool area..very disappointed..needs a good cleaning and needs to be painted. Rooms need some repairs..things loose and bathroom door needs to be replaced

We had a nice stay. Our room was a very good size with separate dining, sitting, and sleeping area. I was disappointed that the spa in the pool area is no longer available for use. But, overall we had a good time. The staff were very kind.

The breakfast was a good assortment of hot and cold foods. They were all delicious! The only issue with our stay was that the water in the pool was much cooler than expected, but still very useable. Perhaps it was still set to the summer needs instead of October’s fall weather? All staff were friendly, the room was clean and parking was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Clean spacious rooms, staff were helpful, breakfast was standard like every other hotel we have lived in. Swimming pool is not deep which is great, gets crowded with kids. Take a towel to the pool, as people use them all. Pets are allowed on the property not in the breakfast area which is great. Overall it was a good experience.

Quick check in. Friendly staff. Ample parking. Great water pressure for tub and shower with lots of hot water. Bed was comfortable. Amenities don’t get checked The shampoo and conditioner were empty.

Staff was excellent at the front desk. Overall - Elevators were filthy, pool walls could use a scrub, dirt and debris on pool deck, old pool toys were gross, desperately needs a facelift. Many items peeling and lifting. Beds killed my back - took weeks to recover. If you have to go to Peterborough, I recommend looking elsewhere for accommodations.

The room had a very moistly smell. The bathroom needed to be renovated, it felt really dirty. The shower curtains don’t need to be there, it just makes the skin crawl. Also the toilet was not stable on the ground, it shifted each time you sit on it. I was really disappointed this time. The entire room did not feel clean at all.

Our room had lady bugs flying all Over the wall. The hallways on the second floor had A&W fast food and wrappers all over the floor at check in, and still during check out. The lighting in the parking lot was broken and therefore uninvitinf and potentially unsafe. Front desk staff were awesome and friendly.

This property needs updating. Some things were done, but things that weren't were terrible (bathroom). Hallways smelled dusty and dirty.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting! We booked a king bed with a pullout sofa. The first impression was this was an older hotel that needed some love and a good cleaning. The bathroom was filled with mold and mildew - the tub had a really strange area in the back that looked like it was scraped down and then filled with something and roughly sanded back down. We pulled back the bedding to get into bed and the sheets were soiled. There was mold on the wall near the heater/ac unit and the paint was all bubbled up. The lamp shades were filthy and full of dust. There pull out sofa had seen better days. The front desk attendant did move us to a different room, but was very apprehensive about changing our room and seemed very bothered by it. The second room was slightly better - the laminate near the sink was being held down by several screws and just needed a good deep clean. The pull out sofa was stained and gross. The pool area needs to be updated- the strong chlorine smelled burned our eyes and noses. The pool water was really low and could easily have another 6 inches of water added and had a visible scum line. The paint was peeling and chipping around the pool deck. Breakfast was lack luster at best. Several foods were out and we were told that they would not be refilling. Tables were all dirty. I travel often for work and pleasure with my family - this was by far one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Front entry way looked like it could use a good vacuum and a deep clean mopping but main part of rooms have been redone and look great. Bathrooms will need an overhaul next I would guess. All in all, decent space and good value for the money

King room with pull out couch had 2 tvs in seperate rooms.

Check in was easy. Very friendly staff. Room is spacious but bed was extremely uncomfortable with pillows that are small and not comfortable. King size bed should have king size pillows. Curtains are too small for the window so not really blackout Very bright in the morning.

Our room was nice and the bed was a decent size but it was too soft (almost lumpy) and the a/c sounded like a plane was taking off every time it turned on. We were on the 4th floor and I liked that there was an actual fan in the bathroom so that everything didn't fog up. The staff were very nice and friendly. The hallway carpets needed fixing/replacing as they were coming up in areas. For the price, I'm going to say we would stay here despite our minor complaints if we were in Peterborough again.

Didn’t particularly like the room we were in with the separate livingroom and bedroom. You can hear everything from the other rooms and the hallway.

We were on the first floor. We could hear all the people upstairs walking around or running (kids?) during the night, early morning. Did not get much sleep. Talked to other guests, same experience in their rooms. My advice, try to get an upper floor location.

The room was clean and comfortable. Temperature was good. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of selection. The staff was friendly. As we were there to visit with family and attend the St. Patrick's Day parade we didn't make use of the pool. Our only issue that we had was the television. We were unable to watch anything as we weren't able to find anything to watch when we were in our room at night. My grandson was able to use his game system to give us something to do in the evening but it was disappointing not to dind something interesting to watch when he wanted to go to sleep. Other than that it was an enjoyable stay that gave me time to spend with my two grandchildren. We will return at another time.

We had an enjoyable stay, except for the fact that the mattresses on the beds were a little too soft.

Everything is fine with this hotel property except for the fact they took out the carpets in the guest rooms and unless you are on the top floor, you get to clearly hear all the noise from the people in the room above you, suitcases on wheels, office chair rolling, kids running around.

The staff were friendly and efficient. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The room was quiet. I didn’t hear the traffic. Our room was clean, the pillows fluffy, and the sheets were crisp. It was a pleasant stop over.

Hockey tournament weekend meant that our weekend away didn’t matter. Banging upstairs and downstairs, hide and seek in the hallways til 3am! Parents drinking in one party room while the kids went up and down elevators and knocked on doors for fun. After day 2 (I have four boys so I get kids can be noisy but this was unreal) I asked staff about noise after 1am. They said it’s not their job to “police” other people’s kids and because the team made the semi finals we would “likely have a quieter night because the kids have to be up early” so basically we don’t matter lol waste of money will not return

The kind gentleman at the desk was wonderful and helpful. He was working alone and managed to get us a new fridge as ours wasn’t working. He gave excellent service!

Forgot my tablet in my room and the front desk called me within a couple hours to let me know. Unfortunately I could not turn around but they packaged it up and sent it back to me via FedEx. Staff were excellent at check in and out.

The staff were incredibly friendly. Ive stayed here several times and Ive always been welcomed with great staff, both at check in and check out

Our room was perfect and comfortable The only negative thing I could say was the gentleman that checked us in was rude and after a 6-7 hour drive from northern Ontario during a snowstorm and his rude disposition stating we should have called him directly instead of Expedia. This was about 1 am, I wanted keys and to go to bed as I had a doctor appointment at 9am

Another great stay at the Suoer 8. Front desk staff are extremely helpful all requests handled quickly and efficiently. Rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable.

We loved our stay. The staff are very friendly , professional and knowledgeable. Clean rooms and very good breakfast with hot and cold options. If you’re visiting Peterborough look no further!

I felt like I was welcome and my info was easy to access. The person at the desk was very patient with a person ahead of me in line.

Staff was very friendly - especially since I ended up staying there 2 times in a weeks span. Both times check in and out was effortless. The facility was clean and mostly modern, although like all hotels there was some water damage in the washroom on the ceiling. Breakfast was good - as can be expected with most continental breakfasts. The location isn't bad - is near good food and shopping. Will make this my place to stay in Peterborough!

This hotel was a very good choice as was only a short drive to the downtown and waterfront. The breakfast was also very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Relativement propre. Personel accueillant. L'environnement de l'hôtel laisse à désirer avec des maisons delabrées autour. La vue de ma chambre n'était pas agréable. J'ai dû fermer les rideaux pour éviter de regarder les débris dans les cours voisines.

Easy access to restaurants

Very clean, staff was very friendly and easy to interact with. Quiet area and lots of Parking on site, well lit at night. Far enough away from the core to avoid nighttime noise from the local bars. Would recommend this stay to anyone I know and would return if the situation presented itself :)

Could be better lighting at the entrance to the hotel. Difficult to see at night.

Everything was ok but the breakfast was dismal. No hot food for over a half hour and no eggs. When it came out the potatoes were still half frozen. It was a busy day that should have been prepared for.

My stay was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were also better than I expected and included some hot options (e.g., eggs, sausages, waffles) as well as toast/bagels, cereal, and snacks (e.g., fruit, granola bars, muffins). There is a Kelsey's next door (less than 5 minute walk) which is helpful for dinner/a drink. There is an indoor pool, but no hot tub. Parking was a breeze and there were lots of open spots. Overall, I would recommend!

We were only there one night but all went well. We were able get early check in with no problem. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Good hot breakfast

The hotel front desk was very friendly. The breakfast was included and was very tasty. The waffles were delicious. The rooms were clean and looked they had been updated.

Pros: Hotel staff are awesome. Ample parking, clean room, pool. Has fridge, comfy beds and good pillows. Has desk with a comfy chair. Dove branded toiletries. Cons: Our below window AC leaks water inside the room and drips on the floor. Breakfast area is too small for the amount of guest, leading to crowding. Coffee machine, toaster, and juice machine broke, took a while to fix. Breakfast is so so. No cable TV. Tub is old. A noisy guest with teenage kids from the other a room running on the hallway at night.

The breakfast was a disaster - place was too crowded; there were absolutely no gluten free option for my husband- so he ended up eating only yoghurt and some cold scrambled eggs - the toaster was very slow and had a line up and by the time my toast was ready the butter was empty no no one to be found to replace it so I ate my toast without butter

Stayed here for 7 days and did not have a single problem breakfast is above and beyond . We had a wonderful stay
