Super 8 by Wyndham Mt Hope Hamilton Intl Arpt ON

Very average accomodation close to Hamilton airport. All staff were friendly and accomodating. Long term parking on-site is very reasonable. Grab and go breakfast was sub standard.

First off there is no obvious sign indicating the entrance to the property. When we got there we had to traverse the pot holes on the dark parking lot. In our room the toilet continuously ran throughout the night. When we went down in the morning for the “super breakfast” we had a coffee and nothing else.

Room was dirty, box spring stained, air conditioning did not cool the room, bugs in bathroom (possibly a roach), patched spots on walls but not painted, found food in the mini fridge freezer, wifi and tv reception were horrible, parking lot was not lit, uneven and full of potholes. Nothing like what was represented. Have had this issue with Hotels.com before. They need to vet their hotels much better. Will likely not use them again.

The locks were broken on the room. The room stunk like wet dog. The advertised pictures did not match reality. No exercise room even though one is advertised. The couch in the room was disgusting along with the chair so bad I would not sit on them. The air conditioning did not work in the room. The edges of the furniture looked like a dog chewed on them for months. The hot tub is filled with garbage. The were water stains in the ceiling from leakage. The advertised restaurant has been closed for a while.

The location suits my needs and the lobby is in excellent condition and is inviting. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms have seen better days and motel seems to be saving money: no facial tissue boxes in rooms, no waste basket liners, no recycle, very minimal continental breakfast, no USB ports in room lamps, furniture cushions peeling, trim broken off, fridge missing feet so door scrapes along carpet, parking lot lights burned out. Snack and drink machines are upstairs and no elevator so difficult for anyone like myself with mobility issues. There always seemed to be a smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway. Some simple updates would go a long way to making this motel more inviting.

the only good thing was it was near the airport . the grounds was in sad condition . driveway was bad with no marking for parking . the hallway carpet was stained . the room walls needed minor repairs , carpet was bad . the love seat was disgusting , the mini fridge that was about 18'' x18''x 18'' sitting on the floor not a stand and did not work good . the door handle was loose and did not lock . i had to wait to see if it locked . the free breakfast was a choice of coffee , tea , cookies , apple , granola bar or a mini muffin . i will not be back . the picture on the web site could have been when they first opened .

Property was in awful condition...advertised gym was not open to customers....coffee maker in room did not work....room and furnishings were in various states of disrepair....questionable people were hanging around front entrance with open alcohol at all hours of the day/night.

Difficulty finding the hotel; we drove the length of Homestead twice. The place was in darkness & the Super 8 sign was not lit. I suggested it be turned on, but on Dec 9th when we returned, it was still off. The keys to the room don't work, so the desk clerk said he would have to let us in each time. No heat in rooms or hall or lobby; wall heater extremely loud, never warmed up; had to go to lobby to request more blankets. .Fake leather couch was totally peeled off. There is better furniture at the curb on garbage day. You should be ashamed to charge anyone to stay in those conditions..

Parking lot potholed

When I first arrived I do my normal check of the beds for things like bed bugs and cleanliness. Lo and behold, as I pulled the covers back my sheets were stained and there was pubic hair still on the sheets. But I must say the gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and came and changed both beds and all pillowcases right away.

Room was dirty—dust everywhere, stained sheets, and the bathroom smelled awful. Clearly not cleaned properly. Won’t be coming back.

Staff were good. Facility was not well maintained. Poorly cleaned and linens and towels stained. Insufficient towels and facecloth (yes, one). Shower head partially plugged. Bathroom sink loose in counter. Cigarette burns in bed covers. A/C not cold. Abandoned restaurant next door, parking lot full of potholes and exterior signs taped up. I really don’t like to complain, but too many smaller things add up to bad experiences Not impressed that Wyndham puts their name on this. It should be inspected and brought up to their higher standard by them, so the owners can present a quality product.

The staff tried very hard to be helpful, but that didn't make up for the fact that our room was filthy dirty. I wish I could add the pictures that I took of the room. First off (and the worst thing) the bed my husband slept in had blood stains all over the side of the mattress. We didn't notice them until the first morning. Down on the floor it had a strong disinfectant smell, so either they tried to clean up blood on the carpet or vomit. The hair dryer's cord and the phone on the nightstand were caked in dirt, as was the register to control the temperature in the room. The caulking around the tub was filthy and the ceiling paint was all peeling away. There was a hole in the wall above the window and marks all over the walls. No Kleenex, no glasses, a sink but no tea towels. We booked through Expedia for two nights but we just checked out after one night as we couldn't stay in that filth any longer. The blood on the mattress put it over the top for us. We asked to cancel the second night the day before but they told us that because we booked through expedia we were locked in and couldn't get a refund. This was our first time using expedia and we won't be using them again for this reason. My wife suffers from migraines and the smell in the room made her physically sick. We had to forfeit the money for the second night and come home. On a positive note the young man at the front desk when we arrived helped us carry our luggage upstairs as there is no elevator.

Stepping into this 'hotel' felt like entering a horror movie. The musty smell, the stained carpets, the questionable 'cleanliness'—it's a health hazard. I've seen cleaner public restrooms. This place is a disgrace and an affront to human decency. From the peeling wallpaper to the mystery stains on the sheets and towels, every corner of this place screams 'shut it down.' Book literally anywhere else.

Place smells, it is not clean, changed rooms and they had bed bugs. Stay away.

We rented 3 rooms. In one of the rooms the breaker kept on blowing causing the heater to not work, they moved the kids to a different room. The second room had a bugs in the bed, the doorknob was broken. The toilet was broken. Not a pleasant stay.

Tv not working, coffee maker not working, ROOM heater not Working. Bed slopping forward.

We had booked this hotel being close to the airport as we arrived around 1am, went to our room and it was absolutely terrible. The chair/sofa were so worn, the mattress was awful, the patio door did not lock as the lock was broken and when I went to the front desk, I was told there was a bar to put in the patio doors?? I could barely sleep worried someone would break in. We had reservations on our last night to stay here again, I thought if the room wasn’t better we would leave. Well the one mattress the springs were done, the curtains were barely hanging on, the bathroom was another story. We stayed as we had to be at the airport for 4am but again I didn’t really want to stay. This hotel needs an absolute overhaul, there has been no maintaining of this building/rooms. I felt it was way too expensive for how awful it was. I would absolutely not return if I fly back to visit. I would not recommend to anyone and suggest finding something else.

The leatherette chair and couch was peeling and sticking to me and then ended up on the floor and in the bed.

No wifi, noisy parking lot in the middle of the night, but room itself was fine.

Furniture was old material flaking off sofa, desk chair. No remote in room. Lack of outside lighting at night. No updates/lack of maintenance since new.

Internet is still non existent.

Room felt in need of a good clean and furniture update. Couch was faux leather and peeling. We booked this room because it is close to the airport and our flight got in after midnight. Reception and check in was fine, polite and efficient front desk staff. No elevator, hallway reeked of marijuana, loud ?party Going on. This was a cheap place to sleep and we were glad to only be staying one night.

Outdated there were damages, old, cleaned

Room was spotless. The staff was excellent I couldn"t ask for better. I did not like having registration shoved off to a third. I had a terrible time dealing with the 3 rd party. I received my and written staitment without a rescite and when I tried contacting themI over days without them returning my calls. I refuse to do 3 rd partys. I will only deal with the front desk at the hotel.

Front desk was no help. Beds and bathroom dirty. Beds soooo old and uncomfortable. Broom closet rooms. No microwave or fridge. No ac, or even a fan.

Worst stay ever! The front desk staff upon arrival didn’t greet us at all, she was more focused on putting batteries in her mouse, no hello or welcome or even a smile. The continental breakfast was 3 things: an apple, a granola bar and a bag of oatmeal that I would have had to prepare! No gluten free options, no where to sit to eat, and the room was filthy and very run down. It looked like there was either coffee spilled or diarrhea on the mattress, the bathroom was not fully stocked and the taps kept dripping. It gets worse! From 4am until 8am there was so much noise that I couldn’t sleep. What’s the point of renting a hotel to sleep if the noise level is a high that guests can’t sleep?! We had no where else we could stay so we had no choice but to stay 2 nights. When I complained to the front desk manager, she had the nerve to ask me to tell the first front desk clerk what she did wrong! Nope! That’s her job as management. They gave me a very small discount for all that was wrong, I should not have had to pay anything with how terrible this place was. Even the parking lot was so run down you couldn’t drive more than 10km/hr or a massive pot hole would ruin your car! STAY AWAY!!!

This hotel was very close to the airport which was nice due to our 1am arrival. However it did not have any food places around it and we were starving as we had been traveling for hours. The property around outside was a little rough looking, but our room was nice and clean and the bed was VERY comfortable.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Only drawback is location being isolated with no dining options within walking distance, however, a 5 minute drive will get you to some dining options.

We had an early flight so decided to stay here as its only a.5 min drive from.the airport. The room was okay, i felt the area to be sketchy but only paid $100 for the room.

The location was convenient for us. The hotel itself has gone down hill since we last stayed here. Too bad since it is a good location but it badly requires some attention.

The hotel was in a sketchy area that did not feel safe outside at night. The carpet in the hallway was stained and there was dirt on the floors in the room. The location was in the middle of nowhere with no food options anywhere. My spouse had to stay for work for one night but will never stay again.

The toilet in my room was dirty inside the bowl, as if someone had recently used it. The couch and chair in the room had missing vinyl on the pleather, no fridge in room, a very thin cover on top of the sheet and 2 small pillows. The 'Smart Start' breakfast was a choice of apples, bite sized muffins, granola bars and instant oatmeal. The hallways etc were similarly dirty, stained carpets etc. It is close to the Hamilton airport and parking was convenient.

Run down motel. I have stayed in super 8 motels from thunderbay to nova scotia and this is the worst. Terrible continental breakfast. Mini muffin, apple and creal bar. One day we went on time and there was only apples left. Other super 8s offer alot more than this. Yet they charge as much as the far better ones. Will never return to this location.

The only good thing about it is that it is close to the Hamilton Airport. The television did not work. The room was an ice box when I arrived. The breakfast consisted of apples, mini muffins and granola bars.

Do not stay here. Dirty room, drawers, fridge, and walls. Old and damaged furnishings. One bed was a queen mattress on a double box spring. One towel per guest - no hand or face towels provided. Bathroom was clean enough. Ice machine not working. Vending machines are very old and rough looking. Very limited food items for breakfast (grab and go items only). Staff was very nice and friendly. Not the worst place I’ve been, but nowhere near the best.

No key cards availabl. clerk had to let us into room manually with their key. No coffee made in morning. Only oatmeal and granola bar available in morning?? Furniture pretty run down.

Please change the description of the breackfast, cause it's not a breackfast it's a snack.

The staff was friendly and the hotel was close to the airport but there was dog hair on the bed linens. The vinyl covering on the couch was worn off. There was an unpleasant odour in the hallway which fortunately, didn’t permeate the room. There was a dog on the floor which barked. The entrance to the hotel from the road was poorly marked. There were no lights on the hotel sign. We weren’t sure it was even open when we arrived. My daughter wanted to leave. The continental breakfast consisted of granola bars, apples and mini muffins. There wasn’t even bread to make toast. Would not recommend and will not be staying there again
