We stayed here over the Christmas Holiday 2025.This is a lovely property on a quiet street. The hosts had tastefully decorated it for Christmas and had left us a very nice welcome basket. It is a very clean, warm property and a lot of thought has gone into equipping it for a comfortable stay. The rear garden is dog-secure and we were happy for Teddy to be let out into it.It is about a steady 30 minute walk to Amble harbour. There is a recreation area at the end of the street which is (subject to the usual 'clean up expectations') great for exercising your dog.We would be happy to return to this property.

Arkle house is my ….must visit at least once a year place….I love everything about it and once there I totally relax….This time was unusual as I stayed at Arkle house for 2 nights then was taken to Newcastle for a hip replacement…returning to Arkle house the following day to finish my holiday there.Love it.

Absolutely perfect in every way. Cannot praise this accomodation enough. We had two wonderful weeks here in Amble. Friendly and vibrant area. Lots to see and do. The bungalow was pristine. So warm and inviting with everything you need. Comfortable beds, super hot shower and a bath if you prefer. Garden was very private and secure.I just cannot fault this place and will be back as soon as we can. Thank you Barbara and Mick for the lovely welcoming basket and the up to date information on and before arrival.

As soon as we walked into Arkle House we were impressed. The bunaglow was immaculate, and exactly as described. The welcome basket was a lovely treat, and the garden was perfect for us. Amble is a beautiful area, and buses are regular. We had much longer journey (from Kent) than we realised, but is was more than worth it!
