I’ve worked in hospitality my whole life. 3 stars because 1 bad employee shouldn’t equal a 1 star review even if they’re a 1 star employee. "A truly frustrating stay. From the outset, the front desk experience was abysmal. "Mary Lisa" was exceptionally rude, displaying clear annoyance at having to check guests in. Despite pre-paid rooms and a "no deposit" booking, a $20 per room deposit was demanded, My Questions to Mary were ignored, and paperwork was shoved at me. Locked soap dispenser shelf with lotion and conditioner where hand soap should have been. Asked Mary for hand soap she was rude and said it was next to the bathroom sink. I eventually found the hand soap locked in the shower dispenser shelf. I had to figure out how to switch them myself. My colleague's injury was met with a dismissive and unprofessional comment, from Mary adding insult to injury. However, the experience wasn't entirely negative. Salena and a brown-haired manager were exceptional, demonstrating genuine care and helpfulness, running circles around Mary a stark contrast to the initial encounter. The pool and hot tub were closed, a fact not communicated during booking, which was disappointing. The parking situation was equally confusing, with contradictory information provided regarding forward parking.

Once I pulled in I noticed the area was really nice with a lot of restaurants and gas stations near by! Everything looked very new and fresh! Everything about my stay was fantastic except 3 things. The biggest peeve of mine is not having the pool/hot tub open! I have seen MANY reviews of other hotels that have the same issue. It would be really nice to find a way where we knew about this before booking. I would not have stayed if I knew these amenities were out of order. The other 2 issues are really minor. The Fitness area only had 3 cardio machines. I would have liked some free weights to get a workout in. And the breakfast was good compared to most hotels, but the eggs where runny and the cinnamon rolls were a bit stale. Do not let the negatives deter you though. I really loved the stay as everything was super new! Beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean and shower was awesome! Customer Service was great as well! It's a SOLID stay for the price. I unfortunately did pay $148 instead of $128 that was advertised. To me, not a $150 hotel. Without pool I would only have paid $110-115.

Great Holiday Inn Express & Suites! Indoor pool was cold not heated but the hot tub was nice & hot! The King room was spacious and comfortable and clean. The front desk was friendly and efficient. The room’s price was great too!

We specifically chose this hotel for our one night stay because the Expedia description said it had a restaurant and a bar. It had neither which was extremely annoying after an 8 hour road trip. The room was ok but we had to turn off the fridge to eliminate an annoying humming noise and the AC unit was also noisy. Disappointed. Would not recommend.

Pool not open till 10 AM but fitness room open 24 hrs??? With check out times, not opening pool till 10 AM made it not possible for usage of this facility in the mornings. Plus they were having major problems with key cards deactivating randomly.

I didnt like the fact that there were bigger trucks one big box truck that took up six spaces the semi parking out front taking up 3-4 spaces. these customers shouldve been told to park out in the farther back area of parking lot. The smaller car/trucks should get the closer parking instead of them taking up so much room and parking spaces.

The staff was super friendly and helpful and accommodated any needs we had. Our room was comfortable and mostly clean except for the Minnie Mouse juice cup and empty chip bag on the floor in between our bed and the wall. Bathroom door was a little warped at the bottom, otherwise the room was free of issues. The pool/whirlpool was very clean and refreshing and breakfast was decent.

Our room was booked as a king bed with separate loveseat/sitting. We got a standard king that had been remodeled to have a chaise lounge chair in it. The bathroom was straight out of the 90’s with a step in tub that needed the caulking replaced. The bathroom had been repainted and was all over the tiles. The shower curtain leaked all over the floor because it was cloth and it went right through. I was NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. The slogan”I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night ……..”. Is not what I wanted to say when I left. But to say the least it was NOT a HOLIDAY INN AND SUITES I expected. Not recommended. At breakfast we were waiting in line behind the cleaning staff to get our food. I understand that they get free meals while they work but let them eat in the kitchen or give them a sack lunch when guests that PAID are waiting. I don’t mean to be rude but when the cleaning lady was going to take the pancakes I had to wait for I was a little irked.

We enjoyed our very short time at the Holiday Inn Express-Louisville East. The bed was firm (love that!), the shower was good, and the room temperature was perfect and responded well to changes. Our room was clean and spacious and I loved all the bathroom counter space, which is pretty uncommon these days. Will definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff was very rude. I initially booked through Expedia. I had confirmation with itinerary ID, and the charge had already been through my bank. The front desk worker stated that my card was declined, and they needed a new card. She even made the statement to my husband that she would need to have us out of the room while he was on the phone with Expedia. The room and hotel itself was fine, but I would not stay here again because her.

There was a flood on the 4th floor directly above us - which poured in to our bath and in front of our door in the hallway. We had to move to another hotel (without assistance from hotel staff!) I am still waiting on the refund for our stay that we were promised. Can you please assist?

We stayed 3 there and our stay was excellent. We were greeted by Arthur who checked us in promptly. I requested a ground floor because of a recent health condition. Another female employee volunteered to go check make a ground floor room was available and they had no problem granting our last minute request. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. The breakfast was good, nothing spectacular but very good for free hotel breakfast. The hotel isn’t new but it’s well taken care of. The only thing is they don’t have a patio area but everything else is excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

5 star experience all around. The property is lovely, clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are quiet, modern and updated - beds extremely comfortable. The breakfast is a full English breakfast - eggs. bacon, sausage, pancakes, cereal, pastries, biscuits, toast, etc. The hotel is within waliking distance of restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend this facility.
