Hotel under renovation, restaurant not open, pool had black mold on ceiling

Our stay was wonderful. We actually extended our stay one more night. The pool is so warm which was a huge plus. Bed was a little too firm for me but I would definitely stay again.

We’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the years to accommodate early flights out of Cincy airport. It keeps getting more and more run down, unfortunately to the point where I doubt we’ll stay there anymore. We always appreciated the super-early shuttle they offered to the airport, however, our 4am shuttle driver was MIA. The maintenance man had to drive us, and our shuttle didn’t leave until almost 4:30. Then he dropped the ONE person out of 9 at DHL first, instead of dropping 9 of us at the terminal (which is more logical). He was very friendly, though. It wasn’t his fault, he’s not the employed driver. If you add up the rundown hotel and the unreliable shuttle driver, there isn’t any reason to stay there anymore.

Chose Holiday Inn because it had a heated pool, hot tub and sauna. Pool wasn’t heated, hot tub was covered with plants on it as if it hadn’t worked in a while and the sauna was blocked off! Didn’t get a discount on the room even though the amenities were not available and wasn’t told anything was not working. Cleaning service would come at 6-7 am and if we were in the room, they wouldn’t clean and wouldn’t come back. Not worth the price especially since the amenities weren’t available!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the staff helpful. While the pool seemed nice and the exercise room pretty extensive, all of the hallways around those areas (the only way to get to the elevators, were tile with no mats. Wet foot prints went up and down the halls day and night and the three days we were there plastic "caution wet floor" signs were everywhere. The last night of our stay the pool, exercise room and surrounding hallways had more than 50 children running and screaming without nearly enough supervision. Once again, this was the only path to and from the elevators. The breakfast buffet was fine. However, we tried to eat in the restaurant one evening and watched as people waited 20 minutes or more without receiving a menu or water. Many walked out. We stayed and it took us well over an hour to get two appetizers and some water. The lobby is beautiful but the trash cans throughout the hotel were always overflowing.

Close to airport, they provide affordable long term parking and shuttle service.

The lobby was beautiful. The floor we stayed on was the 2nd floor, there was construction/remodeling while we were there, we could see however they were not working on it over the 2 days we were there so there was no noise or mess while we were there.

Property is great..Location is fabulous..The only issue and this IS NOT a reflection on the hotel, but the shuttle guy did an Amazon run before driving 10 people to the airport..We had a 5:30 am departure and we made it by the skin of our teeth. Humans should trump Amazon delivery any day..He even had our bags loaded then took them off and said he would be back..

The location was quiet and easily accessible from highway. Checkin was easy and staff friendly. Did not use restaurant or any other amentities but facilities looked nice. Parking was not the easiest as lot always full of long-term airport vehicles (I would recommend designated spots for hotel visitors that are closest to building). Mattress was not the most comfortable, but overall the room served our weekend need just fine and no bugs noted anywhere.

The sink was full of someone's beard and it drained very slowly. Tried calling the front desk, the phone didn't work. The worse thing was i ran the shower for 15 minutes and I still didn't even have lukewarm water and this was at 4:30 AM as I had an early morning flight to catch. Will never stay here again.

Room smells. If it weren’t so late, I would leave. Gum holding the peep hole cover up and a mystery smear on the comforter. Worst experience in a long time. Very dated and clearly no one checks housekeeping quality

The first room we were given smelled of cigarette smoke and mildew. The space was not clean. There was hair in the tub and sink, the rug had stuff on it and mold all in the vents from the air conditioner. The second room was not much better as far as cleanliness but it didn't smell like smoke or mildew and there was no mold in the a/c vent. I would not stay again.

There was hair all over the bathroom. Half used shampoo bottles and no hand soap. Broken towel holder that was left under the bathroom sink. Shower curtain almost falling down. Bath tub didn’t drain so when you showered you were standing in about 3-4 inches of water.

Felt like the bathroom could’ve been cleaned a little bit better. There was something red dripped down the wall behind the door and some hair in the tub/shower.

Stayed for 2 nights at Holiday Inn at Cincinnati Airport. The hotel seemed to be clean, until we went swimming. There is so much scum around the edge of the pool to write things in. I read a lot!! The food for the morning buffet looked appetizing but there was no taste. The best things offered were the fresh fruit and bacon. For the price, it was very disappointing.

Shower drain is not working properly reported but not fix at all while i'm stay and never vacuum carpet dirty filthy. Bed sheet not changing every day etc. Never book again for sure.

It is a rather old hotel but very pretty as you enter the lobby. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The hotel appeared to be well kept for the most part. The room looked freshly cleaned. However, there was a bed bug right on the bed. I immediately went to the front desk and the staff person was horrified and apologized profusely. They took a picture of the bug (yes, I took it in a tissue) and offered me a different room. Had it not been so late, I would have declined and asked for a refund. I did get another room and inspected thoroughly but slept fitfully all night because I kept waking up looking for bed bugs. As stated, the night staff was very accommodating, but I won't stay there again.

Absolutely horrible stay!!! The floor would have been softer than the beds. We had to call downstairs to get blankets and sheets for the pull out couch. Then we had to go downstairs to get cups to go with the coffee pot cause all we had was lids. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but considering we didn't sleep at all we check out at 8:30 the next morning. It is very old and outdated and the amount of dust and lint that was between the bed and night stand was gross. The shower curtain smelled like mold and the AC didn't work properly and the amount of geese crap that covered the sidewalk and parking lot was disgusting. We couldn't even roll our luggage we had to carry them due to geese feces.

This hotel did the job for what we needed. The lobby is noisy since everything echos. Didn’t use all amenities while here, the hotel is a bit dated and you can feel the age in the room. The bed was hard so that could be good or bad for you.

I was worried about staying here, when we arrived the parking lots were overflowing. HUGE hotel with 6 stories. The door closest to our room was not working with key cards so we had to use other doors. Puke or a spill in the elevator. But the room was all remodeled, felt EXTREMELY clean and very nice, even the decorations were nice. Our room had a Keurig. I was honestly super surprised by the room after walking through super warm and humid hallways. The AC was super quiet and room was perfect temp. The bed was a really good bed. Mattress reminded me of our expensive mattress at home. Slept awesome after hardly sleeping the night before at another hotel that was twice as expensive. If all the rooms are remodeled, I’d stay here again. I don’t know if I would take a chance if they aren’t, but overall our experience was pretty good.

Love the lobby and the fountain, beautiful. The rooms are dated and could definitely use new carpet, bathroom remodel, and furniture, but the room was very clean and that’s of number one importance to me. The room was FREEZING! The air conditioner would not turn off and when you turned the thermostat up, it had no effect. The front desk offered to move us, but since we were only staying one night, we elected to stay in the current room. They offered to bring us blankets, which they did right away and said they would report the issue to maintenance. They were very responsive. Front desk staff was great.

Average room and condition. Checkin at 11 pm, clerk took long time with previous customer, without acknowledging my presence. I understand if former previous customer was complicated however, a simple nod or eye contact letting me know that he’d be with me soon would’ve been appreciated. Service at breakfast was awful. I arrived to the rather large restaurant area at least 2/3 of the tables had been uncleared of previous guests, dirty dishes. I seated myself at an empty and clean table, but without full service set up, a single waitress provided adequate service however, throughout my half an hour stay in the restaurant not a single table was cleaned or cleared. I was therefore eating my breakfast and a restaurant entirely in disarray. An hour later when I came down to the lobby to check out well beyond the end of breakfastthe dirty breakfast tables were still there. The hotel does not seem to be equipped to manage unexpected staff shortages. This all leads to a less than ideal experience for the guest.

I did not like the fact when I was trying to contact the hotel it rang for 30 times I hung up, called again rang another 30 times. No one will answer the telephone. I just needed to know when the shuttle was going to be at the airport to pick me up and I ended up taking an Uber instead but there’s business of somebody not picking up the phone is really irritating when you’re trying to reach somebody in

I hate this place. It takes a lot for me to be annoyed with a place but this place has disappointed, not once but twice. Before our trip we verified the airport shuttle and ensured it would be there for our flight that came in over night. We were told it ran every 30 mins. We get to the shuttle spot and it took 50 mins for a shuttle to get there. I was there at 2:25am. I called at 2:35. They told me they would send one at 3. I was told every 30 mins but fine. I'm patient. Comes 3:10, still nothing. I call. They say they let them know. I'm waiting. 3:20, still nothing. Keep in mind many hotel shuttles have come and gone 3 times now. They finally get there at 3:25. I have my family, we're tired and now annoyed by the lack of shuttle even after being patient. We arrive. They marked me as a no show even though it was still within my reservation. They give me a new reservation that costs more and so far, will not match my original price even though I was there. I showed within my reservation time! Keep in mind, it took almost an hour to get to the hotel. We get our room finally we go up and it's a single bed. I had my family of 4 with me and my reservation was for 2 beds. Now I go downstairs. It's 3:45am. They finally change it. Ok, a few days later we have another reservation here (it was too late to cancel). I go on open minded even though I'm still waiting for my comped rate and have gotten the runaround on that. We arrive, I check in and they tell me I need to pay to park even

Expedia gave me a price and the hotel didn't accept it. It took 2-3/4 hours to check in, ultimately at a higher price. Enough time passed for the restaurant to close. So we missed a meal also.

Stay went great! Left items in hotel room by mistake that were kept and returned!

I went on a business trip and stayed at this Holiday Inn close to the airport one day. Im still trying to get a receipt from them for a one night stay. It seems that the check in wasn’t done right, so for check out, they’ve sent me the wrong receipt. I’ve been trying to solve the issue but they just leave on the phone ranging…

The staff were friendly, restaurant good and room well worth the money. Hotel was quiet and the water feature in the lobby was very relaxing. Will definitely stay again!

All was fine except I had a shirt picked up by housekeeper with the towels. I know it was an accident as the shirt was lying under towel and both were white, but after speaking with front desk before checking out and asking for a call when shirt was found I’ve heard nothing. I emailed yesterday and still now reply

We got in town a few hrs earlier than check in and they let us check in 2 hrs early!! Great service, clean rooms, safe environment!

It is an older hotel but they have kept it in pretty good shape. It has a good restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. Great location for visting Cincinnati or for the airport. It has an airport shuttle for guests.

I have always liked this hotel. Never had issues with coming here. Close to the highway, the airport, and several other things.

It was a short stay but very clean and comfortable. Nice bar with appetizers. Good location for restraunts. Close to airport.

Affordable location but not walkable. If you stay here, budget for an Uber or rent a car. Friendly staff and convenient airport shuttle. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful when I locked myself out of the room. Not far from the Cincinnati Zoo or the ball park which I ended up doing in the same day.

You can tell it is an old hotel. It was clean. There was plenty of parking. There were several entrances/exits that made it easy to park and get inside. It is super close to the CVG airport.

Breakfast was a outrageous price 25 dollars was ridiculous

I paid for breakfast but when I checked in I was told I hadn’t. They wanted me to have an itemized receipt to prove that I’d paid. Eventually I just paid again. Then in the morning the breakfast room was so understaffed that we waited for 45 minutes to have our order taken. Then it was another 45 before we were finally told it would be another 20-30 minutes before our food would arrive. We couldn’t wait any longer so we left without breakfast. No refunds were offered, even when I explained the situation upon checkout. Also, parking is free unless you’re leaving your car. This was not clear in the hotels.com booking.

Very clean, staff very helpful. Restaurant was over priced and had a limited menu. It's ridiculous that you pay for a nice room in a hotel with a fabulous indoor area and they don't offer a free breakfast, especially with it being close to the airport. Breakfast cost $17.99 and was not much better than the free breakfast at other hotels.

The property was well kept and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The price was just right and food was good. The breakfast Buffet is worth paying for.

This was far from the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but it was the worst IHG I’ve ever encountered. I’ve long trusted the IHG brand to be clean, well-managed and have a good breakfast, often included. I look for the brand when booking. This property was marginal on the cleaning. The bathtub was almost too slippery to shower in and the breakfast was a joke. The choices were minimal and the quality of offerings was poor. And it was $18. I received a discount of $15 for two people at the time of booking, and it wasn’t worth that. When housekeeping came to our room, they made the bed - sort of - but that was it. They didn’t reload the coffee basket and even left dirty towels on the chair. Additionally, one of the staff members asked that we tip with cash instead of on a card because the management doesn’t return tips on cards to the staff. If that’s not a crime, it should be. Avoid this place if you can.

The facility is dated (90s decor maybe), but it looked like they had started some renovations. Otherwise it seemed clean. There is a restaurant but it was closed the whole time despite being told at check in it would be open for dinner. I had to check our very early in the morning around 6:30 am and the restaurant was not open at that time either. The only dining otherwise nearby is at a gas station. So it is not ideal if you don't have transportation to venture out from the hotel and you want something to eat. The mattress on the bed was really bad and made sleeping difficult. I woke up several times through the night from back pain.

Great room, super comfortable bed. The staff was awesome!!!!! The food at the restaurant was good too.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. Only negative was the breakfast was nothing special for the price.
