Quality Inn Johnson City near Downtown

Staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect! Pool was clean and perfect temperature. Room was clean and met all expectations.

Staff members were pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was good. Mattress was comfortable. Nice tv. Safe didn’t work. Toenails were on and in the pullout sofa. Girlfriend emerged from the pool with a large bandaid in her hair and corner of unit by the sofa was dirty but other than that bed was comfortable and clean as well as the bathroom. Stayed 2 nights and price was reasonable for the stay.

It was good for rest and good enougs breakfast , easy parking areas, good AC , comfortable bed with tv microwave, fridge, iron, coffee maker, blower ect. The toilet was slow as well as the sink carpet need to be clear look old and dirty, some of receptionists wasn’t the frendly to say a simple good morning overal was good stay , im sure i will come back!

Good condition for the age of the hotel. Needs some more updates to the Rooms. Maintenance needs work. Toilet loose and Pool Hand rail dangerously loose. But other than that, not bad for the price.

Stay was fine. Limited amenities but was clean and ok.

This hotel was convenient for a quick stop of a longer trip. However, it is on a busy corner with traffic noise and many bright lights. The girls at the desk were very kind and hardworking. The biggest issue was cleanliness! They need to give their cleaning crew a whole new training or provide them with higher incentives because our room was gross! There was literally yellow liquid stains all around the toilet base, the bathroom floor was so sticky my shoes stuck to it, and the comforter (although I know they’re rarely washed) had huge gross stains all over it. Yuck!

Bedding had blood on it and was torn. The front desk got s a new bedspread. The room was not very clean. There was dirt all in the tub.

The carpet and tile in the bathroom were filthy! To get clean towels you had to take the soiled ones to the front desk to get clean ones. I would never stay there again and would have left except it was college graduation week and everything was booked.

Checked in…remote wasn’t working. Opened it and find battery has been in there forever just by looking at the powdery stuff. Fridge needs to be defrosted. There was a hole in the bathroom door, only seen from inside the bathroom. Looked like a fist went through it. Rug is dirty. Room seems like it has not been occupied in a long time. With the hotel being down the street from the university, I was expecting it to be cleaner. Came back late and another customer flagged me and said don’t bother checking in and that he was leaving to drive 3hrs to go back home. He also said he changed rooms 3times.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The carpet and furniture were very dated, but that was not really a problem. When we entered the room, the AC was set on 80 and di not get much lower than that the entire stay. the desk chair was missing screws and I fell when I tried to sit in it. The bed pillows were only half pillows. There was mildew on the edge of one of the comforters. On the second day, my husband happened to look up at the shower ceiling; it had black mold on it. I guess the old addage "you get what you pay for" applied.

The front desk staff were professional. The carpet was dirty, just disgusting. The toilet lid was broken, toilet is so low, tub had stains, all bedding had stains and when I looked inside pillow case, the pillow had yellow stains. The shower head pressure was low. Overall, it really needs upgrading. There was a sticker on mirror that said they have room serviced every three days unless you ask for it. I had not seen it though. My trash was overflowing. I had to go to front desk to ask for toilet paper. My family and I will not stay there again.

The hotel is in a well-lit busy area of town. Very clean and comfortable.

The barhroom door would not shut. The tv never worked and kept a message saying low or no signal. There was blood on the window sheers and the bed linens were very dirty. Definitely the worst visit to this hotel and we stay an avarrage of 1 nifht a week

When i went in it stu k really badly there was hair on the tub and blood splatters on the wass and on ceiling.When i called the front deak,I was told that they didnt have anymore smoking room,I told her that I did t ask for a smoking room because I dont smoke around my girls,so could i switch rooms,but then she said that they were booked up,so I asked her for some cleaner and rags and ill clean the room myawlf, she .The night before I left I called the front desk to see uf I stayed(i had already cleaned tge room)could i get aome kind of discount,the man told me no,that he didnt do that celing

Not bad for a one night stay. Bed is comfortable and sheets are clean. Bathroom is clean.

We needed a clean and comfortable place to stay that was near East Tennessee State University. This place is clean and a decent place to stay. The cost was reasonable too. The beds were especially comfortable. We will be back to visit ETS and we will definitely try to stay here. It’s not the Four Seasons, but if you need a nice bed and breakfast, this is a great place

Was in town for a race. Booked last minute online due to our other hotel being an issue. Staff was very nice, grounds clean. Bed was comfy, pillows were weird half pillows. Bedding needs updated. Clean but worn, same with towels. Room and floors need a deep cleaning. Did ok for a short stay.

The AC unit was LOUD, rattling horribly. All of the linens in the room were damp. I actually think that the AC unit was blowing out condensation making the room damp. Duvet was dirtt, with burt cigarette holes. The door did not close securely,.had to put a chair up next to the door handle to make it feel a little more secure. Stayed there for a NASCAR race weekend, so it definitely was not "cheep" not many options were available. Will not stay again.

The hotel is located near university, downtown and several outdoor activity site. The room was clean and staff was friendly. The second floor rooms have a balcony with a nice view of the mountains.

The pattern of the carpet made it look like there was sand/dirt all over the carpet. (There wasn't). Very loud (next to highway). Everyone was friendly. Continental breakfast was good. Showers very nice. Pool very nice. Pillows and sheets had questionable smudges.

My friend and i were coming into town for one night. I made this purchase the night before, online. There were only 3 or 4 pictures, and the one of the bedroom was completely misrepresented. I'd accidentally purchased a "smoking" room". That being said, the outside of the building was showing quite a bit of wear. Check in was fairly quick, though the woman at the desk took my credit card for "incidentals". That, to me, would be things purchased, beyond the one-night contract. Iwas told much later, after I'd already paid, that they took a $100 deposit as a security deposit! They were absolutely non-transparent and NEVER made this clear! As we approached our room, we were met by a gentleman in his 50's staying in the room next to ours, with a much younger girl he called his "daughter". She was sitting in a heap on one bed, surrounded by snacks and trash. She was clearly an addict. The room was so off-putting the minute we turned on the light, that we almost turned around. We should have. There were burn marks littering the carpet, a burn mark in the sheet, walls crumbling, and nasty, stain-covered mattresses. We were told by the woman at the desk that they didn't give refunds. When I told her the condition of the room, her answer was simply "Its a smoking room", as if that excused is rundown condition, and unsafe neighbors. I'm strongly considering filing a complaint with the BBB, and a report with the health department.

Staff was terrible

Andrea at the front desk was rude and purposely did nothing to accommodate our request. We asked for a first floor non smoking room. She gave us a smoking room where the door didn’t work properly and the bathroom door didn’t close. We asked for a different room on the first floor and were told there were no other rooms available. We were on our motorcycle and explained that since we had a lot of items to carry in, the second floor would be difficult for us since we are senior citizens. A young man came in after us, with no reservations, and she gave him a first floor room that she said was not available for us. I talked to the manager the next morning, he said he would talk to her. It’s their policy to give motorcycles first floor so they can be close to their bike. I hope no one else is discriminated against like we were.

It's a bit noisy a lot of homeless people around there. The first time I stayed there everything went smooth but the second time they had a new lady up front who didn't know what she was doing. She over charged my bill by hundreds of dollars. She said they only trained her for one day,so its not her falt . Besides that the room was okay. Hot water worked ,but both stays the beds could use updated. They fixed my bill the day of check out

The room was great clean and the staff was very accommodating when I needed a bottom floor room so thank you for your hospitality

Amazing customer service

Not bad. Just an encounter with a not pleasant staff at the front desk. Okay but not really alright. We brushed it off.

During our visit in Johnson City my wife had an accident that caused a broken arm.while we were out and about. We were staying on the 2nd floor. The desk clerk Andrea Crum, saw my wife,s condition and moved us to a handicap room on the 1st floor and went all out to ensure we had everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Ms Crum is a true example of customer service

Lady at the front desk when First checked in wasn’t very nice but other than that, the stay was fine

Staff was friendly, Room was clean, they are in the process of updating. Walls needs fresh paint. but overall the room itself was OK. We had a no smoking room. But there was a smokestack outside of the rooms and people were smoking and the smoke was coming into our room. And you could smell someone smoking weed every time you went outside. Location was not in the best part of town I think. Felt a little unsafe.

Property needs a facelift, but you can tell the friendly/ helpful staff is trying very hard to keep things afloat. Nothing really to speak of immediately around the property, but everything one needs is a short drive away. Pleasant/safe stay.

Area is sketchy with homeless people outside. The toilet is nearly falling off. The carpet is disgusting. Bedding smelled like smoke. Sofa in the room was stained.

Thought with it being called downtown that is where it would be instead of the outskirts, worried that my vehicle was not safe. Food that should have been hot (eggs, potatoes, sausage) was cold (at 7:45am).

Property was dirty and outdated. Bathrooms were not clean. Homeless people around the building made us feel unsafe.

Stay was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint was they ran out of hot food at breakfast. Half my family got a good breakfast before we checked out and the other half didn’t because we got down there an hour later (but still within breakfast hours). But very nice stay overall. Would recommend and come back.

Breakfast/lobby area was new and clean, breakfast offerings are great given the small size, staff was helpful. Wish some of the remodeling funds were being spent on the rooms; bathroom door was noisy and would not lock. Some stains noted on my sheets. Otherwise room was fine.

This hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable, and offeren a nice breakfast. Its the nicest Quality Inn Ive stayed in. Will definitely stay there again.

The breakfast manu was very limited and poorly stocked. Supposedly the room should have been cleaned after 3rd nights staying, but not done.
