Perfect place to stay when coming for a match at the Leigh Sports Village. Rooms are of good quality and clean, with relatively little noise. The reception area is nice and big and the bar and restaurant area has plenty of space to accommodate. The breakfast is also one of the highlights!

Location is desirable with 20-min walk to the Bus Station. Reception staff are kind and helpful. Safe and tranquil even walking back from Bus Station to the hotel at 9-ish pm. Free carpark and breakfast 👍 Minor drawbacks：no fridge and telephone in the room. Hotel phones can be used in the lobby though.

Always enjoy our stay , the breakfast is great with plenty of choice . The room was clean and tidy overlooking the river at the back . Unfortunately the bathroom had spots of mould around the bath . Parking is great and free , this is a excellent hotel for few nights if your visiting the area or going to a sporting event

We stay here 2 or 3 times a year and find it perfect for us. From time to time we've had problems in the bathroom (leaking showers etc.) on this occasion there was mould growing along the bottom of the shower screen. Staff, bed and bedding plus the breakfast were all superb.

Very pleased with this hotel and from the first impression of walking in and checking in through to the checkout I was impressed and happy. Staff are very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help. I am Coeliac and therefore need some help and understanding with food and the team where brilliant and supportive. Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious and no complaints really.

Very nice hotel and looks very clean and modern. Room and equipment in the room were good, however the bed although a nice size the mattress was very uncomfortable and pillows needed to be of a better quality. As it was a warm evening/ night we needed the window open and the window was a little stiff and noisy needing oiling (very squeaky). Very noisy outside our room late/ early in the morning in the corridor with other guests arriving from nights out. Could do with reminding that other guest are asleep and to keep noise to a minimum as they pass through reception.

The Hotel is super neat, I mean clean. nice clean room. top notch services especially the complimentary breakfast, though all I had there was the fresh filter coffee. I will stay there again whenever i return to the area. only challenge I had was very poor wifi connection.

A nice location, clean, safe, great staff with a good breakfast. However if you’re given a room near to the lifts you will experience late night noise from the bars due to the open terraces and the same in the morning from the breakfast bar. So ask to be moved before you get disturbed.

We stayed in a family room. 2 adults, 2 teens. The pull out sofa bed was too small. Got a single quilt on it so had to ask for another so we can both keep warm. Shower pressure was awful. And when i checked in i only found out about the £100 security deposit. Very weird as I've stayed in different named hotels and never paid this. Still waiting for it to be returned to me. Will never stay in a Holiday Inn again. Worst nights sleep!

The hotel is great, all the staff were excellent with us,I am 83 and I somehow left the lights on my car,a young lady receptionist came to my room and told me of this,I was very grateful as I was attending a funeral the following morning,don’t know her name but many thanks to her for letting me know.Excellent place I will certainly recommend.

Excellent hotel and booking app. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We arrived early but they made every effort to prepare a room for us. The bed and room was comfortable with walk in shower. The bathroom facilities were top rate and With excellent showering facilities. Breakfast was cooked to perfection with excellent variety available. The staff were very attentive and ensured all tables were presented to the highest standard

Staff (evening shift) very unhelpful from a minute one. Rooms very basic no heating (cheap electric radiators in room) not even toilet brush in toilet ????? Breakfast was an absolute disaster. 2 coffee machines not working and bacon was like a piece of plastic. And, on top of that we have been told my son (17 years old) wasn't allowed to use it because he is not 18 yet. An absolute disaster hotel. Stay away.

Really great hotel. Fantastic staff and in a great location. Close to a lovely nature reserve for evening walks. Free parking which is a huge plus if you are meeting up with family. Food is fantastic and service is brilliant. Cannot fault it. Will definitely stay again

The hotel was better than I was expecting. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The quality and quantity was very good. Therefore the price was really good value. Nothing to complain about other than we could not extend our checkout for an extra hour.

This was our second visit to this hotel. The only reason I didn’t give too marks. Breakfast was disappointing. Eggs cold , no seating,and very noisy. It was difficult to get Wi-Fi, and the instructions on the card a joke. Telling people to dial 0 for help, when there is no telephone?
