This hotel was awful, it had just been used to house immigrants, I asked to be moved as the shower water would not run away as the bath plug was blocked. We had to shower at our friend's we had come to visit, so embarrassing! The room has a separate toilet! What? I asked to be moved again with no joy. None of the staff actually knew eachother, it was just like a circus! I asked a member of staff if they would like me to register my car on their system which I did knowing the the car park had no barriers or cameras as they were destroyed during the "immigrant incident!" The whole stay was a complete charade, no management, no staff who knew what was happening. Even a breakfast there were no fried eggs out, so we all ended up ordering them instead of them just cooking a load and putting them on tray! Then it came to gluen free! They couldn't provide that because it was frozen. You just not make this up! Suffice to say I didn't bother with breakfast this morning, just couldn't wait to check out and get home to Norfolk. Sitting here now I still can't believe what has happened over this weekend. Goodness knows who made the decision to let this "hotel" to open, but really needs some kind of training. What an absolute disaster! I've never seen anything like it, and hopefully never will again!!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this Novotel hotel. I had expected it to be a bit down market, but it was far from it. The location is great, less than a minute off the M1 with no traffic noise. Parking was free with ample space. The hotel was clean and although in a 70s looking building the interior was modern and well maintained. The reception staff were all super helpful and my room was spacious, very clean with a comfortable bed and air con/heating that worked! The shower was spacious, hot and powerful and there was a separate toilet area. Breakfast was excellent. As I said I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed and would have no hesitation in staying here again. Well done, all at Novotel Nottingham/Derby. 👏👏
