Pleasant location by the river. Good carparking. Nice efficient helpful reception staff. Room was small and dark ,poor outlook of a tall boundary with lots of constant traffic noise. The bed was far to big for the room leaving a pinch point of 450mm to squeeze between the bed wall and T.V. Pillows were feather like and provided very little head support. Bed was very big though! Lots of gimmick items . Iron & ironing board (not sure where you would fit the ironing board though) Hamper and fridge full of loads of unnecessary expensive items. Coffee pod machine with fancy coffee and posh tea . Would have preferred just normal coffee and tea. Only 4 sugars and 1 x 80ml of milk provided for 2 people and a 3 night stay. Maybe wise to think and stock items that guests will use rather than filling hampers and the fridge with Haribos and Mars bars ! The toiletries were nice but don't use to much or you'll be charged ... Room was well serviced and cleaned during our stay. Outside areas needed just a general tidy up and sweep. Overall impression was OK but litter and untidy areas spoilt it a little. Especially around the reception entrance and the service entrance to the side and car park areas.. Overall not a bad stay but a bit over pretentious trying to be to posh and providing too much rather than doing the basics well.

This hotel was quite a find! Set in a lovely quaint village setting on the banks of the Thames it was just what we wanted in a break. The hotel room was spacious, clean and had everything we required. It also had a great fan because it was very hot! The Coppa Club served breakfast on a lovely terrace bar and we watched the boats go by whilst eating. The day/evening there was nice but a little limited in choice on the menu, in my opinion. However it was a lovely place to eat with great evening lighting. I suppose the best compliment would be a return visit which I’m certain will happen

We had a upper floor room facing the sun most of the day. It got extremely hot with only a fan to try and cool it. Unable to sleep at night the temperature of the room was unbearable. Air-conditioning is definitely needed. Made a complaint and was given a full refund. (One good thing about the stay.) Sonning is a great place to visit.

The room was lovely very clean and very spacious. The hotel is very pretty and situated by the river . The let down was the restaurant. We waited 20 mins to get a drink and the staff were very uninterested and the food was only average.
