Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful hotel. We had a superior room with a terrace with views of the sea, a fantastic evening meal, steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in any aspect of our stay. Will definitely return.

Lovely cosy bespoke stay in the coach house section of the hotel. Great additional hot tub. All very clean and well thought of extra comforts. Nice quiet location - lovely comfortable and plush communal lounge with roaring fire. Very pleasant and efficient staff. Dinner and breakfast top notch with an excellent range of choice. A definite go back to hotel. Only gripe was no lift.

It was my partners birthday and we had an amazing time. We stayed in the Coach House with a hot tub which was a real luxury. We also had a meal in the Bay Tree Restaurant which was outstanding !

This place may be under rated . The setting is lovely and the manor is very well maintained but the real reason to go is the food quality.it was some of the best food we had on our entire trip and they don’t promote it. I think many returning guests come for the cuisine. And make sure you go down to the Costal Pathway for a hike . You really get a feel of costal Devon . Highly recommended!

It was all fine. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. Older property with steep stairs and no lift. The restaurant wasn’t open on the night I stayed. Staff were pleasant. WiFi didn’t work, asked twice and still didn’t work.

This is a lovely place! The terrace looks out over the sea and a beautiful garden. A 15 minutes (steep) walk takes you to the Maidencombe cove, an idyllic cove, which is wonderful for swimming. The kitchen is excellent and all meals were delicious. Our room was cosy and individual with a large balcony. This is a magical place and we loved staying here!

Karen in reception greeted us when we arrived, very freindly, helpful, informative and showed us to our room. She also booked a taxi for us for the evening out. The room was lovely, clean tidy and beautiful view. We had breafast in the morning, lots of choice. We would love to return to this hotel in the future. Sue and Andrew

This is a beautiful hotel with charm and wonderful hospitality. We have stayed here 4 times and hope to have more visits, which would be easier if we lived closer. A beautiful manor house with friendly staff and great sea views. Although we were in the smallest room it was really lovely with all the amenities you need including a fridge with complimentary water. The only downside would be the size of the bath towels which could have been bigger and some fresh milk instead of the capsules. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely fantastic with great service and attention to detail. Highly recommended if you are thinking of staying in the area.

My wife and I had an excellent and comfortable stay! We were greeted at the door and taken care of as we were shown to our room. Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to a sea view which was very kind! Everything was brilliant, only slight issue was the lack of wifi & reception in our room (reception problem with the area, not the hotel itself). We didn’t end up trying any food though, but looked delicious. Thank you Orestone for accommodating us!

There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed.

The staff are extremely friendly and the grounds are amazing to walk around. Absolutely beautiful and well kept building situated in a lovely part of Devon. Well worth to see well worth taking part two for a romantic time away.

Great hotel and the staff were excellent. The hotel restaurant is superb. The breakfast is very good and great value. The dinner menu is exceptionally good as is the service. Nice quiet location but Teignmouth and Torquay are easily accessible by car or bus.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful hotel. We had a superior room with a terrace with views of the sea, a fantastic evening meal, steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in any aspect of our stay. Will definitely return.

A beautiful manor house with friendly staff and great sea views. Although we were in the smallest room it was really lovely with all the amenities you need including a fridge with complimentary water. The only downside would be the size of the bath towels which could have been bigger and some fresh milk instead of the capsules. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely fantastic with great service and attention to detail. Highly recommended if you are thinking of staying in the area.

Nice quiet location - lovely comfortable and plush communal lounge with roaring fire. Very pleasant and efficient staff. Dinner and breakfast top notch with an excellent range of choice. A definite go back to hotel. Only gripe was no lift.

A stunning manor house in beautiful surroundings. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and food was delicious. Staff are all exceptional. Will definitely be returning .

This place may be under rated . The setting is lovely and the manor is very well maintained but the real reason to go is the food quality.it was some of the best food we had on our entire trip and they don’t promote it. I think many returning guests come for the cuisine. And make sure you go down to the Costal Pathway for a hike . You really get a feel of costal Devon . Highly recommended!

Second visit and will be back again. A really wonderful hotel for a peaceful and relaxing break. Near to Torquay and nearby villages, but a charming and secret hideaway with great food and friendly and attentive staff.

This is a lovely place! The terrace looks out over the sea and a beautiful garden. A 15 minutes (steep) walk takes you to the Maidencombe cove, an idyllic cove, which is wonderful for swimming. The kitchen is excellent and all meals were delicious. Our room was cosy and individual with a large balcony. This is a magical place and we loved staying here!

It was my partners birthday and we had an amazing time. We stayed in the Coach House with a hot tub which was a real luxury. We also had a meal in the Bay Tree Restaurant which was outstanding !

We had the most basic room. However it was perfectly comfortable and clean. Good Bathroom and comfy bed. The highlight is the the dining. First class evening dinner. Not cheap , but worth it. Breakfast for £10 was fabulous value. Would come back again.

There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed.

Lovely cosy bespoke stay in the coach house section of the hotel. Great additional hot tub. All very clean and well thought of extra comforts. Breakfast lovely for the additional £10, staff especially Craig really attentive in a balanced manner. Fantastic to remember personal details regarding dietary requests. We would love to return.

Good breakfast menu freshly cooked. Good staff but could do with another staff member in the evening keeping an eye on reception and requests from guests in their rooms as their in house phone was down.

It was all fine. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. Older property with steep stairs and no lift. The restaurant wasn’t open on the night I stayed. Staff were pleasant. WiFi didn’t work, asked twice and still didn’t work.
