Charming room with exposed beams - large bath. Only downside was stairs - many stairs to get to room

Staff were friendly and helpful but the room itself was rather tired looking. The grouting around the shower was dirty and the flooring in the bathroom was ancient. The breakfast was ok and well cooked and they did cater for gluten free which was great as my husband is coeliac but everything was just luke warm and the tea/coffee we had to make ourselves with water from a flask which was hardly even warm so made a terrible cup of tea. It’s a shame as a few little changes could make a massive difference.

Staff were amazing!! Very helpful. You can have a chat with them and they will tell you all the local things to do and where to go. The hotel is fantastic with the old feel to it and the room was amazing!! We will definitely come back
