Great rooms, great access from restaurant/bar to rooms and friendly staff. Service for breakfast was extremely slow and I’m not sure why as is wasn’t busy, drinks are quite expensive but overall very lovely place - great for dog lovers including myself!!

The hotel rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Lovely beds, pillows , bath r9bes. Bathroom spotlessly clean. Plenty if tea and coffee making facilities. Easy sccess and parking. Nice to.have a beautiful restaurant on the doorstep. The staff were polite and efficient. The managers attentive. Couldnt ask for more.

Room was very good, though if you're elderly the bath is very high. It was hard to raise a smile from some of the front of house staff, and being asked for a tip on the card machine every time you bought a drink wasn't good. Food was ok but nothing special. We lived this place last time and although we still do, in places it was a little disapointing. The breakfast was excellent though and the fact they welcome dogs a real bonus. We will stay again

Customer service was excellent, rooms are tired and grubby. The shower needed cleaning before we got in it, there was something unpleasant on the tiles. Bathroom needed some attention-felt grubby with rust on shelf and sealant needing attention. Bed was very uncomfortable, we both woke with sore necks and backs. Food was excellent quality, however we ate dinner and it took about 40 minutes to arrive and breakfast was also very good but it took a long time to arrive, but worth waiting for. Staff were excellent finding us two chargers as we’d left ours at home, really appreciated that. Thank you!

Hartford Hall is a nicely appointed hotel and pub in Northwich, situated between Chester and Manchester. My room was very comfortable with a big bed, a nice bathroom and shower, and good tea/coffee facilities including a coffee machine with pods. The downsides were the windows could do with replacing as my window wouldn't shut completely, meaning I could regularly hear the traffic going by. Thankfully there wasn't really a draft as the radiator was working well. With earplugs I slept fine but without, it was distracting. With proper double-glazing I think this issue would be mitigated. The adjoining pub is very popular and with a good variety of evening and breakfast options. Other than the window, I had a great stay and recommend!

Absolutely charming hotel, perfectly located for our purposes. Very clean, lovely service. Of course the room was small by our standards and we had to do some creative rearranging of furniture and coffee tray etc. Also the large, spotless bathroom had a beautiful antique clawfoot tub/shower combo, which was challenging for my husband to get in and out of--just request something else at booking if that is an issue for you. Also note that the rooms do not have mini fridges, but you can access the bar fridge if needed.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, first during winter so did not notice the fact that the window in my room did not open and frame in need of attention. As the months are warming up this is a concern. They do provide a fan but being a women of a certain age fresh air is a requirement

The front of house staff were excellent - everything we asked for was provided - 'no problem Sir'. They were let down a bit by their colleagues behind the scenes - we were served the wrong food and there was a long wait for it. We spoke to some locals who visit quite often and they said the food hadn't been so good recently. But we'll be back!!

This is obviously a very popular hotel and place to eat. The room was very nice with a large double bed and tea and coffee making facilities. I ate in the restaurant for an evening meal and breakfast. While the food was good, the staff were lacking a bit of courtesy and respect for customers. When the food came over I was asked if these were for me, rather than asking if I had ordered a pizza, it came across a bit matey banterish rather than as a paying customer. Morning service was without any pleasantries and a little rude, when paying I was told to hit the red button on the card machine , without telling me why. There was no please or thank you and a smile wouldn’t have hurt. Generally a good hotel but the staff let it down with their familiarity and sullyness.

Great service from all the staff, especially the waiting staff in the evening for my dinner which was also very nice. The guy checking me in even changed my room as I requested one where I didn't need to climb stairs due to a knee injury. Perfect all round.

Was shown to a wobbly table then offered beer mats to stop the wobbly. Made Made the centre of amusement for the rest of the restaurant to laugh at and make fun of. When we asked to move the guy said. If you want!!! Rude beyond belief. We quickly left and did not eat. We ordered a takeaway to our room. Room was excellent. Bar excellent. Restaurant and staff shockingly bad.. We are mega pissed off!!!

I have stayed in this hotel several times now as it is perfectly situated on my route around the area. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming after a hard day on the roads. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with tea,coffee,biscuits a coffee pod machine, iron and board, hairdryer and even a digital radio which they have on as you enter the room which I think is a lovely touch. The area feels safe and quiet but is within easy reach to major roads. I would recommend this location for both business or leisure stays.

Great rooms, great access from restaurant/bar to rooms and friendly staff. Service for breakfast was extremely slow and I’m not sure why as is wasn’t busy, drinks are quite expensive but overall very lovely place - great for dog lovers including myself!!

Customer service was excellent, rooms are tired and grubby. The shower needed cleaning before we got in it, there was something unpleasant on the tiles. Bathroom needed some attention-felt grubby with rust on shelf and sealant needing attention. Bed was very uncomfortable, we both woke with sore necks and backs. Food was excellent quality, however we ate dinner and it took about 40 minutes to arrive and breakfast was also very good but it took a long time to arrive, but worth waiting for. Staff were excellent finding us two chargers as we’d left ours at home, really appreciated that. Thank you!

The front of house staff were excellent - everything we asked for was provided - 'no problem Sir'. They were let down a bit by their colleagues behind the scenes - we were served the wrong food and there was a long wait for it. We spoke to some locals who visit quite often and they said the food hadn't been so good recently. But we'll be back!!

This is obviously a very popular hotel and place to eat. The room was very nice with a large double bed and tea and coffee making facilities. I ate in the restaurant for an evening meal and breakfast. While the food was good, the staff were lacking a bit of courtesy and respect for customers. When the food came over I was asked if these were for me, rather than asking if I had ordered a pizza, it came across a bit matey banterish rather than as a paying customer. Morning service was without any pleasantries and a little rude, when paying I was told to hit the red button on the card machine , without telling me why. There was no please or thank you and a smile wouldn’t have hurt. Generally a good hotel but the staff let it down with their familiarity and sullyness.

We visited family and booked two rooms for our weekend stay in this lovely Inn. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful in accommodating our needs. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast each morning, and every request was met with a smile. The Inn also has a wonderful bar and restaurant with an outdoor area. We will certainly book again on our next trip.
