It must be a southern states thing, but the (small) bed pillows were ruff and prickly and bed was very firm. The fitness room equipment was either unable to turn ON or in need of repair.

We chose this hotel specifically for the outdoor space. It was very disappointing. The ground, all furniture and umbrellas etc was in disrepair and dirty.

The property was clean. It was in the midst of a renovation. We chose it because it has a pool and I wanted my children to have something to do in the evening. It was closed for renovations. We were not notified until we were ready to use it. The AC in our first room was not working at all—likely due to renovations. We were given another room where it was working. The breakfast was good!

Overall, I was "disappointed"! The first room (422?) had dirty sheets on the bed. I notified front desk and was given another room (402?). The second room also had unclean sheets that appeared to have shoe stains, like a rubber sole imprint. The last room, 515, was better. But the coating on the toilet seat was peeling off and had distinct impressions on the seat from the lid which made it appear unpleasant. Now....for breakfast. We ate at approximately 07:15 and given the hour and day (Sunday), I really don't think too many other people had eaten before us. But the floor already had numerous "blotches" of spilt milk or yogurt which had not been cleaned even though 2 women were present as part of the serving personnel. We sat at a table which had not been cleaned. The food was limited to watery eggs and dried, cardboard tasting meat patties. I asked for plain yogurt but was told that only what was in the container was available. So, my best option was a fresh banana. I realize that the location of the Hampton Inn was possibly a reason for many, many visitors which also meant that more staff personnel should've been available for support. This was not a wonderful experience overall.

Carpet is really dirty with lots of stains. As soon as I opened the door to the room, I was smacked in the face with an extremely strong smell of urine. Sprayed large stain with disinfectant spray trying to get rid of the smell & towel mopped the bathroom floor. Never could get rid of the strong smell. Not sure how this place had the ratings it had. Very disappointed in this Hampton.

This was my second stay at this hotel. It is exceptionally clean including the rooms and common area. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The free breakfast is the run of the meal free breakfast, with the exception of the employee is great at keeping everything filled and cleaned. Leave her a tip! Although they provide soap, shampoo and lotion, they do not provide hair conditioner so don't forget to bring your own. With the exception of the convenience store directly next door, it is not a particularly walkable location. Restaurants are a short drive away.

The staff was very responsiveness when we had an issue with our room (one king bed v. two queens) at check-in. That said, there were live roaches in our room and at the pool. The carpet in our room was badly stained, and there was mold in the shower. I was largely disappointed in this experience. I've stayed at many of these properties over the years, and this was, far and away, the most unfortunate Hampton Inn I've seen.

Staff were excellent; the hotel's condition was in poor shape. It looked battered and old and in need of updating. The bedding and towels were quite nice, however. It wasn't terrible, just didn't compete with the Hampton Inn we stayed in at Augusta, GA.

Nice place....only issues we saw were the SMALL pillows for sleeping and the decor is dated a bit. The blackout curtains in room 523 need to be changed out as they are torn up. The bed in 516 is almost on the floor. Staff is very friendly.

Very nice newly renovated. Clean and comfortable. My only complaints would be the very thick tall pillows and the thin scratchy towels. Otherwise, great place. Breakfast included waffles, bacon and eggs, yogurt, etc.

This time, we received a king suite—so large, you could practice swing dancing. Great breakfast, big beautiful courtyard for the smokers and vape aficionados.

We were given a room in the front of the hotel. There is a Hwy in front so you can hear loud trucks. I would recommend requesting a room in the back of the hotel if you wish to sleep in a bit.

First thing is when I got here I went to my room. Somebody had the heat on high and it was like a sauna in there and there were dirty toothpicks on the floor. The AC was not working. Went back downstairs put me in another room, went up to the room And it was occupied there were peoples clothes and everything else there so they messed up giving me the wrong room. Went back down again and they gave me a king suite which I appreciated the AC did work however the microwave was filthy. I had just driven 14 hours and did not need to walk into sauna or into somebody else’s room , took about 45 minutes to get this resolved.

Late check in process was a nightmare. Even after we called and confirmed that a late check-in between 12:30-1am was okay, there was still no one at the desk. The front desk girl wasn't at the desk for over 30 minutes despite calling and knocking on the administrative office doors for assistance. Then when she finally appeared, she had obviously just woke up and just said “I was in the restroom” over and over.

I called Hotels.com on Sunday and changed my reservation. The person who helped me called the hotel, supposedly, and got my reservation moved by one day. Arrived today after 8 hours in the car. No reservation. The person at front desk was rude and no help at all. Was going to make me pay for another day. Could care less about how distressing it was. Then spent half an hour on phone with Hotels.com for no reason. Disputed charges with my CC company. I will not use Hotels.com in the future. Would not stay at Hampton in Vickburg, MS ever again either. Bonus as we were sitting in the car trying to find another hotel, was hit up by some bum wanting money. Yeah, really safe hotel.

Recently renovated and when we first came through last week, the reno crew had blue tape everywhere. That's not a negative comment as it had no effect on or stay, just an observation. On our return trip, all cleaned up (5 days later). Staff support was excellent and room met our expectations. Had a Happy Hour too which don't see all that often anymore. Good location too!

Children were running and playing all night, knocking on my door and running. I tried to call the front desk and make them aware, but no one ever answered. I was afraid to go downstairs because I was unsure of what was happening. The faucet in the bathroom had a terrible leak, it ran all night. The room was filthy and dusty, the bathroom shampoo and lotion containers were empty, and my sheets had some kind of black residue on them. When I first complained about the faucet the lady at the front desk told me she was sold out of rooms and nothing could be done. I stay at the Hampton Inn a lot and this stay was the most horrible experience I've had thus far.

Right off of I-20. Although they are renovating, don’t let that and or your judgment. We stayed on the fourth floor. Very clean every staff member we came in contact with was very courteous and helpful. Across the street from National Vicksburg Military Park. Definitely set time aside to visit, it is a must do while you’re there!

Very nice room and friendly staff. The breakfast was very good. Only glitch was we found a huge water bug in the room. They sprayed and the hotel at our request moved us to another room. The hotel is literally next to the Vicksburg battlefield, so was very convenient for touring that historic site.

Overall, I was "disappointed"! The first room (422?) had dirty sheets on the bed. I notified front desk and was given another room (402?). The second room also had unclean sheets that appeared to have shoe stains, like a rubber sole imprint. The last room, 515, was better. But the coating on the toilet seat was peeling off and had distinct impressions on the seat from the lid which made it appear unpleasant. Now....for breakfast. We ate at approximately 07:15 and given the hour and day (Sunday), I really don't think too many other people had eaten before us. But the floor already had numerous "blotches" of spilt milk or yogurt which had not been cleaned even though 2 women were present as part of the serving personnel. We sat at a table which had not been cleaned. The food was limited to watery eggs and dried, cardboard tasting meat patties. I asked for plain yogurt but was told that only what was in the container was available. So, my best option was a fresh banana. I realize that the location of the Hampton Inn was possibly a reason for many, many visitors which also meant that more staff personnel should've been available for support. This was not a wonderful experience overall.

This was the best hotel I’ve stayed at in years. The staff was fantastic, the rooms perfect and the FREE breakfast food was actually good!

After a long drive, this was a welcome hot shower and nice comfy bed. The front desk staff were wonderful, even though they apologized for taking a bit longer due to new computer system. I didn't see any problem with the time frame. Just wish the breakfast was a bit better. Eggs seemed watery, no bacon (just sausage), no gravy for the biscuits; settled for waffles - which were good. Just need peanut butter for my husbands pancakes! lol Will probably stay at Hamptons in the future

Very convenient location near highway and the National Battlefield. Clean room, friendly staff. decor needs a refresh, but is not terrible. On the downside, breakfast was lackluster and there was no walk-able restaurant . Satisfactory overall.

Fantastic hotel. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. Above all, it was safe. Really good steak house just up the road was a plus too.

Clean room. Staff were unfriendly at breakfast area. The hot tub had to have the "emergency shut off" button pressed to get it to work by the maintenance man. Saw a few spiders in the pool area. Doors to our rooms at times did not close adequately without double checking and very forcefully closing.

Convenient place. Breakfast was meant, but free, so you can't complain too much. Rooms were comfortable, but not great. Bathroom needed some maintenance/deep cleaning.

This place was wonderful! Very clean, classy, well maintained. I thought it was a new motel. Looked it up and it was built in 2006. So not new but you wouldn't know it. The breakfast very good. Staff was friendly and helpful and parking was convenient.
