Lift out of order so had to carry luggage up 2 floors. Central heating not functioning - just stand alone radiators in room and some corridors. Promised fridge never appeared. Everything fine apart from the attendance of Police twice to arrest asylum seekers who are apparently being housed there and one of them, who was very drunk, trying to get served in the hotel bar. Although how he can afford to drink there at the scandalous bar prices I aren't sure.

Beautiful location. Very scenic and spacious with big lawns you can enjoy. Building is big and beautiful. Loads of parking available which is free. Check-in was smooth. Hotel itself needs an upgrade as most of the things are run down. Rooms were ok. Bed itself was very nice and comfortable. Toilet wasn’t modern but clean

Nice hotel at a good price. Only downside was room was above a service bay for the hotel so some noise until late on. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Bingley/Saltaire so shops/amenities close by. Usual shops near by Sainsburys/Tescos and Greggs.

Staff really friendly and helpful- helped us select routes to some free drinks ( bonus) . Sadly we ordered some food which took an hour to arrive and the gas went in the bar and there was a delay waiting for a manager to come in and change the gas. Property is in desperate need of a refurb/maintenance. As soon as you walk in the front door you’re hit with a smell. Which carries through the whole hotel, rips in carpet. Stains on the bath, room was not cleaned during 2 night stay either which is not good. The building to the left hand side of reception can only be decribed of a council block of flats, needed to give card details to put a deposit on the room which i was not advised about which i was not happy about either, they should tell people prior to arriving. I would definitely avoid this hotel, we are working in the area for 6 weeks and will stay elsewhere now. Shocking cleanliness and shocking customer service.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The property felt very old and poorly maintained, and the overall cleanliness was not up to standard. Most concerning was the bathtub, which had visible urine stains — completely unacceptable and made it impossible to use. I chose this hotel based on the brand’s usual reputation for reliability and comfort, but sadly, this experience did not reflect that at all. It was far below what I expected, and I would not choose to stay here again.

This was the most disappointing accommodation from our 16-day trip through the UK. The sinks, shower, TV remote, and walls were grubby. Only the sheets were clean. Hotel is in bad need of some updating and a thorough cleaning!

From the start, this stay was sloppy. The hotel is tired, needs a facelift but there is little excuse for the slapdash attitude to cleaning. The hotel is so well placed, a great car park. There is a bus stop outside, taking you to Keighley and beyond or towards Bradford. I arrived early and went to reception. I said I was early and asked if I could register. "The receptionist will be back in 10 minutes. I went to get my luggage. Returned. Waited 20 minutes. Rang receptionist at my behest. You can't register until 3. That's fine but I could have been told that when I arrived. No offer to hold my luggage. When I returned check in took 20 minutes because I had no physical credit card. The walk to my room allowed me to see the shabby state of the hotel, areas clearly not cleaned recently or regularly. The room was OK though tired. Part of the window casements were broken. The shower trickled. The bedding was stained, not massively but enough to notice. The crockery and cutlery in the room were not clean. I asked for a bath mat as there was not one in the bath. When it arrived it was wet and had hairs on it. Outside there was litter that remained throughout my stay. And some cups and glasses were outside all day. Throughout the hotel, the carpets nthe carpets needed to be vacuumed and they were not cleaned at all whilst I was there. My room was not cleaned properly throughout my stay

Check in late evening room was atrocious with mould raw sewage smell from bathroom and stained bath with limescale. Dirty carpet unbelievable. Complained another two rooms shown next to each other on same floor exactly same. Manager blamed house keeping but I’m sorry this is the worst I love ever seen in hotel being a frequent business traveller using hotels every month. Taken plenty of videos and pictures. Not only we were tired travelling over 100 miles we had no option but to book another available hotel in Holiday Inn 26 miles away. We were tired drained. I want a refund and did phone the hotel who have advised to contact hotel.com. I have with no reply. The description on hotel. Com is completely false. I would not even house a pet in the rooms. The hotel needs to be checked by the authorities as this is not acceptable and takes a lot for me to complain.

Staff are lovely, breakfast very good, bed was fine for one night. Aside of that, the hotel was extremely tired, elements were dirty (carpets, bath) but it must be an uphill struggle for the staff working there. The cost was reasonable and the bed was fine, but if my wife was there we’d have had to walk away!

Hotel is clean but little bit dated. No lift and I have a big bag to carry to my room. The room is clean and has ironing and hair dryer and good bathroom. But the walls are very thin and kept hearing every alarm clock in the rooms above and surrounding rooms. Plus I was at the back side and could hear the linen and bin collections lorries early morning and every conversation outside as the glass in not double glazed. But for the rate and location, can't complain

The rooms are in need of a refurb, extremely dated and the room smelt a little damp, there was lots of condensation on the windows and water on the window sill. On a positive note the bed was huge and really comfortable and we had great little extras like robes and a coffee machine and the view was gorgeous. We may stay again but we wouldn’t be rushing back.

No air- con, heating was permanently on due to some malfunction. The bedroom windows would only open a little, and when opened the road noise was terrible. I will seriously not book another Marriot hotel again.

Downstairs was lovely, upstairs the bedrooms really do need updating only one double socket, window hardly opened no air conditioning, so was so hot in the room we had to go and buy a fan & four way extension lead would not stay again

The hotel seems to have ‘two sides’ the old side and the slightly improved side. When we arrived I could feel this instantly and hoped we wouldn’t get the ‘old looking side’ we did. We didn’t actually go into the room because just being in the hallway had an overwhelming smell of people smoking. I asked to be moved. We were then moved to the ‘better’ side and although this wasn’t said out loud it was insinuated by the receptionist. To her credit she was extremely helpful and moved us straight away. The ‘new’ room was still tired and the heating was on and couldn’t be turned down. The hotel served its purpose and was in a convenient location but I would explore other options next time.

stayed at the Bradford Mercure one Friday night in September, everything was fine until near 2am where I was abruptly awoken when two strangers entered my room after being issued a key card for the same room by reception. This was an extremely distressing experience, causing me significant stress, anxiety, and loss of sleep in the days since. The sense of intrusion and lack of security left me shaken and deeply concerned about the hotel’s safeguarding of its guests. What added further to my dissatisfaction was the response I received when I reported the incident the following morning. The member of staff at reception showed little to no concern for what had happened, which left me feeling dismissed and that the seriousness of the situation was not acknowledged at all. This incident is wholly unacceptable and despite promises via email from the general manager, I've yet to be provided an answer as to how this happened or even offered anything beyond a simple apology. Honestly, I would recommend that you stay almost anywhere else if possible, this hotel have shown me that they clearly do not care about customers or safety.

Although they completely messed up my booking and I had to listen to many others making quite serious complaints, the barmaid, chef, and reception staff were very good and were professional, courteous, and hardworking.

Appalling service paid for five rooms arrived to find. They only had four rooms booked after one hour 30 minutes. They still haven’t sorted another room out. Guests were really unhappy 50 and decided that they wanted to go to another hotel so they be all together. This is why we booked so they were all together.

Myself and another guest had to wait 10minutes to check in as no staff on the desk and when they did arrive carrying a cup tea/coffee they didn't even apologise for keeping us waiting

A great stay with friendly staff, really comfy and nice room. The bar area is great day and night. Stayed a few times now and will be back. Special mention for Dee on reception who helped me with the check in, Thanks again.

Beautiful location. Very scenic and spacious with big lawns you can enjoy. Building is big and beautiful. Loads of parking available which is free. Check-in was smooth. Hotel itself needs an upgrade as most of the things are run down. Rooms were ok. Bed itself was very nice and comfortable. Toilet wasn’t modern but clean

Nice hotel at a good price. Only downside was room was above a service bay for the hotel so some noise until late on. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Bingley/Saltaire so shops/amenities close by. Usual shops near by Sainsburys/Tescos and Greggs.

Located away from town centres this hotel has some character and indeed some characters.Undoubtedly it needs a few £’s to update but that doesn’t take away from the price you pay against the comfortable stay you receive. It is very clean,warm,as comfortable as a Premier Inn and the staff (reception,restaurant,room prep staff) are all welcoming and know how to smile. The smiles are my takeaway….they’re free.

Very friendly staff, especially on reception. We travelled, from south Yorkshire, on public transport so were spoilt with bus stops at the end of the driveway, to Bradford, Leeds, Saltaire and Bingley. Breakfast was good and the bar very acceptable. Our room was clean and comfortable and surprisingly quiet despite being at the front of the hotel. Would stay there again.

Lift out of order so had to carry luggage up 2 floors. Central heating not functioning - just stand alone radiators in room and some corridors. Promised fridge never appeared. Restaurant closed despite previous assurances in phone that it would be open. Reception staff unable to sort out anything in absence of manager. Good breakfast.

The hotel and staff were ok , But what really let it down was the food , considering it was midweek and not at all busy they didng have one of the dishes that we wanted and when the food did arrive it was so bland , I would stay again but go out to eat

Check in was speedy. All of the staff were lovely. The breakfast was very good, fry up cooked to order. Lots of on-site parking available. Hotel was in a lovely setting. Competitive price. It was all good.

We decided to stay here as I was meeting family at a local event. The location turned out to be great as I could walk to the event which made life a lot easier. The car park is huge and free which is a very big plus. Although there is so many signs telling you to validate your parking. The condition of the building is dated to say the least. Bits of worn carpet, wallpaper hanging off etc. It’s definitely dated and needs some serious renovation. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, it was okay. Selection of cold continental and hot breakfast. Limited in quantity and despite the menu stating black pudding there wasn’t any. The milk for the cereal wasn’t cold and neither was the fruit juice. Little annoying things that would be easily improved on. All little thin

The room was great. I am a Muslim and I eat halal food. On the first day of the breakfast, I was advised there are chicken halal sausages. But I was very disappointed to see that they were placed next to the bacon. On the second day, before helping myself to the sausages I asked to confirm that they were chicken sausages. I was advised that the sausages were pork. I could have gone with thinking that they were chicken but I was cautious and asked. All the food should be labelled.

The staff were very nice, and helpful, the food was not really good, basic pub food, I am sure a microwave maybe involved with the prep. The hotel is very rundown, but was clean and warm, also quite cheap, however I wouldn't rush back again

Staff really friendly and helpful- helped us select routes to some free drinks ( bonus) . Sadly we ordered some food which took an hour to arrive and the gas went in the bar and there was a delay waiting for a manager to come in and change the gas. Hôtel needs some old and a bit of refurb - a strange odour in our room - unsure what it was
