Decent room and good overall hotel for the price in line with the Village Hotel chain but it was very noisy the night we stayed (17/12/22) with guests partying late. In addition, the fire alarms went off twice briefly around midnight with no explanation from staff. Late the next morning there was an enormously loud pumping noise coming from the gym sound system p. Finally, with regard to parking and checking in ( which you do yourself with staff assistance) there was no information to alert us to the fact that parking was free at the weekend and not £5.00. I paid this charge but later asked for a refund. I was assured by a young female staff member that a refund would be arranged but it never was. Our room was 116 so would be grateful if this could be arranged now. David A.

Great hotel with ample parking which due to travelling on work was a necessity. Warm welcome at check in and great room. Nicely laid out and more than enough space. Nice to have Starbucks on site and good selection of food served in the bar area. Great find and will certainly keep it in mind when in the area again.

Staff were excellent with a smooth and quick check-in and check-out process. Our “club” room was superb - spacious with a very comfortable bed and very large tv. The only slight disappointment was the breakfast, which was being cleared away at 9.30am. This seems too early for non-business guests and was affecting a few other guests too. Continental breakfast was good, the cooked breakfast was ok, but not exactly inspiring. Car parking was a bit confusing - we nearly paid the £5 per day charge, but on check-in were told it didn’t apply during the particular times we were at the hotel

Unfortunately our room was not clean and had a terrible smell. The carpet was dirty and it just generally looked quite run down and in need of a freshen up. They couldn’t offer another room as all family rooms were booked so we never stayed. We have stayed in other Village Hotels which were great but I couldn’t say the same about this one.

Just stayed for the one night but enjoyed our stay, slept well, comfy bed and bedding. Room was very clean. Plenty of parking. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again when next visiting the area.

Uncleaned room when we checked in so had to be moved. Toilet didnt work in that one the cystern constantly made a noise and the flushing mechanism broke. Told cleaning staff but nothing done. Was told there was no eggs left half hour before the end of service as obviously the chef didnt want to cook anymore. Dirty stained rooms. Really disappointed

All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Excellent level of cleanliness in the rooms and the public areas. Have used this hotel before and would definitely use it again.

Lovely staff, cleanish room( bathroom was full of someones pubic hair...) But it was freezing... The veggie options in the catering department left a lot to be desired and if you suffer from a pepper allergy like my partner you were out of luck. My partner suffers from MS and the lifts were out of order so it was a real struggle for her to get to the room. The one saving grace were the amazing helpful staff.

Great Hotel with a good bar and food, friendly staff and a great gym. The cleanliness of my room wasnt to good. The small shelf behind the headboard of the bed was thick with dust and dirt. The edging in the bathroom below the mirror was thick with dust and dirt. The skirting boards was very dusty.

Nice staff. Room was ok (shower in bath approach is dated, ceiling wallpaper lines visible, view was awful (technical air conditioning units on roof and crap everywhere in general). Noise isolation of my room was poor. Heard outside technical units booting up from my room with window closed at 11 at night... folk running down corridor laughing at 11pm... 60 quid on a friday night is still good value however...

We got there abit early so they looked after our bags whilst we went out shopping etc. staff friendly really looked after us. Would recommend 100%, Just 1 thing the shower gels were all gone apart from that was brilliant.

Hotel and room generally good. But two aspects really spoilt my 4 night stay. Firstly £17.50 for a buffet breakfast is just exploiting captive guests. Secondly a bin wagon came to empty the restaurant bin at around 04:50am making a huge noise and waking me up. However scheduled this before 7am at a hotel should be made sleep in a travelodge as punishment.

Staff great apart from one bar man with a beard and ponytail dark hair, more interested serving his friends at one side io the bar than any other customer and flirting with girls. Management needs to speak with him i wasnt the only one to comment.

Overall, quite a frustrating experience. I booked 2 rooms via the website for 4 travellers and wanted one twin and one double room. Given there wasn’t an option for allowing 2 different room types in the booking I then had to make contact directly with the hotel to update the booking. There then followed numerous emails and finally a call to resolve which seemed crazy given the simplicity of my request. On checking in, we had to use the computer screens to check in even tho there were 2 staff at reception not doing anything. This meant completing the process twice (as 2 rooms). So overall, not customer focussed in any way. The rooms were boiling hot with no air con and not possible to leave the window open given how noisy the room was. Overall, a poor and depressing experience and I wouldn’t book again

The staff were fantastic! They phoned a week before we were due to stay to let us know the main lift had broken. I’m disabled and cannot manage stairs. They offered a solution of using their service lift, where a member of staff would be on hand to escort us to the lift and open it for us. They gave me the dimensions of the lift to make sure it was big enough for my scooter. This solution worked perfectly :) every time :) Our accessible room was huge!!! I could do donuts on my scooter if I has so chosen :) The bathroom was fantastic, with a plastic wheeled chair for the wet room, as well as a fold down stool. There were grab rails everywhere; it was better than my bathroom at home! I can highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely be staying there in the future.

Location was excellent, bus route into Liverpool centre 2 min walk. Staff were fabulous, very helpful and considerate. Attention given was very good after my accident. Room requires reviewing, bed legs dangerous, when walking past bed leg I caught and damaged my toe splitting the nail and cutting my toe seeking medical assistance on way home and due to this we could not use the spa facilities which was why I booked this hotel in the first place.

Easy to reach from motorways and near the very attractive Port Sunlight village. Staff were very helpful about giving us suitable rooms and recommending an alternative eating place in Port Sunlight to the (very noisy, lively, sports-screening) bar/restaurant within the hotel. Good-sized comfortable rooms but not great for lighting if you want to read anything printed rather than off a screen. We were given rooms along a quiet corridor at our request. Breakfast was quite good - the cooked food wasn't great. There is a Starbucks on site if you like a gallon of very weak coffee instead.

Was a convenient place to stay to visit Liverpool. The local area is lovely. Room furnitire was a bit basic. No plugs near the bed. No air con. Broken fan in room. However staff were all friendly and food was good.

Arrived late travelling as ever. No after hours food offer, not even a pack of sandwiches. General condition is lower than other village hotels. Food selection very "village" i.e. fried or grilled. Chicken katsu curry obviously the leftover chicken dippers with dried out rice. Bland as anything. Breakfast was on the better side of passable. Not up to the price. Pool is no more than 5 strokes long and over treated. A reminder of why I avoid the village brand! Not worth their price point. Car park says £5 per 24 hours. On site from 11pm monday to 7:30 am Wednesday cost £20. Then as usual for a village, they bombard you with spam. Awful brand of mediocre hotels masquerading as upper tier brand

Lovely staff on reception, very helpful and friendly. Lovely rooms, beds mega comfy! Restaurant service bit of a let down, not enough room or staff but food was nice. Breakfast great value.
