The building is beautiful and well maintained. Clean except for pool which is also cold. By the pool is an odor like sewer, not overwhelming but constant. Water in bathroom sink has sulfurous odor. They give you 2 small water bottles per day. Must pay for more. Can get twice size for same price at Oxxo. Restaurant only open until 3pm. Food quality poor. Bar not well stocked, not even decent chelada. About 3 blocks from restaurants. Closest block to hotel a little sketch. Linen quality poor. Young desk clerk helpful and friendly. Others not so much. Left early. Refund for unused days not forthcoming. Entire operation seems like they need the money.

We stay at this hotel quite often. It is a beautiful colonial building with a lovely courtyard. The staff is always courteous and helpful. It is within a short walking distance to everything and has convenient parking on sight. Highly recommend.

All of the staff were wonderful and very accommodating! However, there did not appear to be many guests. Quite convenient location and perhaps would have more guests if updated? We were disappointed that there was only breakfast / lunch service and no longer evening dinner service. (As a first time visitor to Merida) my opinion is it's a beautiful property that probably could be returned to its former glory if updated and well maintained.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and great location within walking distance of square and restaurants. Staff very accommodating as our checkout time was 12:00 but our bus didn’t leave till 2:47 so they kept our luggage and let us use facilities until we had to leave.

Good for just sleeping, clean. Close to everything Wouldn’t recommend for international (non Spanish speaking) visitors hence only one person in staff could speak english, when he”s shift was over you were left clueless. However that’s our fault that we haven’t learned Spanish, yet. Restaurant only open in mornings, no bar menu, nothing during afternoons/evenings. Breakfast expensive so much better options just one block away.

Bien pero considero que les falta tomar en cuenta la limpieza los cuartos estaban limpios pero no se veía el piso bien trapeado como que solo lo barrieron pero por encima y las fundas de las almohadas no daban esa sensación a limpio de hecho no olían a limpio. Y pues es no es nad agradable

For us the state of cleanliness was a non starter. The pillows were smelly, the comforters were dirty, and the towels old and quite in bad shape. The location is convenient and the hotel could be nice, I just hope they would really amp up their attention to basic things such as cleanliness and state of linen, towels, etc. Other things important but perhaps not critical… the soaps they provide are quite stinky, and there is no courtesy shampoo. The little fridge is VERY noisy. People are nice, very attentive and cordial, like all Merida people, but that was not enough to make our stay memorable

I really wanted to enjoy this hotel but I wouldn't stay here again. My toilet didn't flush, so I had to constantly fiddle with it to fill with water and reflush. It was kind of yuck. The shower was dirty when I checked in so I had to clean it with wipes I packed. It's a little bit out of the way from decent food and entertainment but not too far. The bed was SUPER comfy though. Satin bedding was not changed which included the pillow cases which is not sanitary. The rest of the cotton bedding had been changed and smelled clean and fresh. The turn down was great! Customer service was excellent and the pool/garden is gorgeous!

Gave us a room which was very far and we were traveling with an elder . Elevator did not work and our room was in the 4th floor. The personal very kind , specially the young guy. Don’t know who assigns the rooms but it was very unwise give us a room so far, and the room a/c did not work properly.

La verdad deja mucho q decir ...pedi la Master junior segun con tina de hidromasaje ..y no funciona..vista al jardin o sorpresa un cuadro de malesa seca..cafetera llena de polvo y el cafe q te dan en una bosita rellenable y abierta..jamas volveria caro y no cumplen con lo q anuncian

El hotel está muy viejo, falta modernizar las habitaciones empezado por los equipos de aire acondicionado, después las televisiones solo tienen televisión por cable y se va la señal. En el baño el seguro de la tina no funciona del todo bien aún estando arriba para que salga agua por la regadera, la llave de abajo sigue tirando agua, en general el hotel es muy lindo y muy limpio solo renovar ciertos aspectos

This is really a lovely hotel with a good location. Kind of central to all the good spots of interest. Good parking situation too. Like everywhere they are having staff shortages but the staff they do have work really really hard to keep everyone happy.

The hotel stay was great. No complaints. The hotel staff was great and made this a very pleasurable experience over Christmas. My wife left shoes at the hotel. She called and they had the shoes. She called 2-3 times. We returned almost a month later (4 hour trip) to pick up the shoes. No shoes. They thrown everything out. Okay, we were late picking them up. However, she had called. The reason for one star is the woman at the front desk was beyond rude. Continually interrupting and as non-accommodating as possible. Apparently, the very nice gentleman at the front desk doesn’t work here anymore. If you want a nice hotel and extremely poor customer service, this is the place to stay. While this is a beautiful old hotel and this isn’t the Marriott, a little politeness would go a long way.

Reservamos 4 habitaciones por 9 noches. Al llegar, de inmediato confirmaron que tenía la reservación, pero se tomaron 40 minutos en entregarnos las habitaciones. No nos ofrecieron ni un vaso con agua mientras esperábamos. Una de las habitaciones se reservó para dos adultos y una menor, cada día debíamos pedir una toalla extra, pues solo dejaban 2. Solicitamos una plancha varias veces, durante dos días nos dijeron que la llevarían a la habitación y nunca llegó, tuve que hablar por teléfono con la gerente para que la subieran. Ofrecen servicio de restaurante a partir de las 8:00 am, en dos ocasiones quisimos desayunar ahí, una a las 8:30 am y otra a las 8:45 am aproximadamente, en ambas ocasiones nos negaron el servicio porque el cocinero-mesero "siempre llega tarde". Hubo un problema de desprogramación del control remoto de la TV de una de las habitaciones, llamé 7 veces continuas por teléfono a la recepción sin respuesta, Bajé a solicitar apoyo, estuve 12 minutos en recepción esperando, tiempo en el que no dejaba de sonar el teléfono, sin que alguien lo atendiera, ni a mi tampoco. La mayor parte del tiempo solo hay un empleado para todo el hotel, que tiene que hacer todo, en todas las áreas. Es una casona con detalles muy bonitos como el jardín interior y una alberca muy agradable, las habitaciones son amplias. los colchones y las almohadas son incómodas, la ropa de cama muy pasada de moda.

Ofrecen servicio de restaurante a partir de las 8:00 am, en dos ocasiones quisimos desayunar ahí, una a las 8:30 am y otra a las 8:45 am aproximadamente, en ambas ocasiones nos negaron el servicio porque el cocinero-mesero "siempre llega tarde". Hubo un problema de desprogramación del control remoto de la TV de una de las habitaciones, llamé 7 veces continuas por teléfono a la recepción sin respuesta, Bajé a solicitar apoyo, estuve 12 minutos en recepción esperando, tiempo en el que no dejaba de sonar el teléfono, sin que alguien lo atendiera, ni a mi tampoco. La mayor parte del tiempo solo hay un empleado para todo el hotel, que tiene que hacer todo, en todas las áreas. Es una casona con detalles muy bonitos como el jardín interior y una alberca muy agradable, las habitaciones son amplias. los colchones y las almohadas son incómodas, la ropa de cama muy pasada de moda.

The only saviour is Erick Arriaga,recent front desk recruit. The others seem disinterested in their work . The parking lot does not appear to be cleaned. Trash all over. 3 star rating is too generous. No restaurants within the block and the hotel serves.mediocre breakfast.

The building is beautiful and well maintained. Clean except for pool which is also cold. By the pool is an odor like sewer, not overwhelming but constant. Water in bathroom sink has sulfurous odor. They give you 2 small water bottles per day. Must pay for more. Can get twice size for same price at Oxxo. Restaurant only open until 3pm. Food quality poor. Bar not well stocked, not even decent chelada. About 3 blocks from restaurants. Closest block to hotel a little sketch. Linen quality poor. Young desk clerk helpful and friendly. Others not so much. Left early. Refund for unused days not forthcoming. Entire operation seems like they need the money.

All of the staff were wonderful and very accommodating! However, there did not appear to be many guests. Quite convenient location and perhaps would have more guests if updated? We were disappointed that there was only breakfast / lunch service and no longer evening dinner service. (As a first time visitor to Merida) my opinion is it's a beautiful property that probably could be returned to its former glory if updated and well maintained.

MOST HORRIBLE HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!The reception staff were lovely is the only thing nice I can say , the foyer was clean but the rooms look clean yet the bedside lights were covered in dust, no towels, shower curtain was mouldy, states has room service, they don’t, states has a spa, they don’t, states have a swim up bar and two restaurants, they don’t its a cafe at best that is only open 7-3and the restaurant staff are very rude, don’t give you change just expect it as their tip. Awful overpriced hotel. The only exception is the receptionist Sophia whom is lovely, friendly and helpful. WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT AND UNBELIEVABLY OVERPRICED,DO NOT STAY HERE

Good for just sleeping, clean. Close to everything Wouldn’t recommend for international (non Spanish speaking) visitors hence only one person in staff could speak english, when he”s shift was over you were left clueless. However that’s our fault that we haven’t learned Spanish, yet. Restaurant only open in mornings, no bar menu, nothing during afternoons/evenings. Breakfast expensive so much better options just one block away.

You have to manually open à gate and then close it in the parking lot, our apps were not working on the TV and no one available to help when we called receptionist. Pool has cold water which is understandable since Yucatán is hot. There is a restaurant onsite until 3pm which is a plus.

Found used condoms on the side table and lamp. Sheets weren’t cleaned. The shower water pressure was high and the water would leak to the floor. There is no restaurant in the hotel. I tried going to order food and no one was there. The pool was small didn’t get in. Location was ok. I wouldn’t stay here again. With all the issues they didn’t give us any credits.
