Spent extra money for Premium Room .Access to Swimming Pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi and Good food. Got a very small cramped Bathroom , Swimming Sauna and Jacuzzi closed. No offer of any sauce during meal. Recieved cold Pear crumble for desert. I feel sorry for working staff to hide lack of facilities and workforce due to lack of management forsite and investment.

Really good customer service. Would have been a great stay except for two things. No lift to first floor, so if you have luggage , mobility or pram requirements and lots of mould above us in the shower. Did get an offer of an alt room the next day but who wants to move mid break?

While the kitchen and dining area are in good shape, the rest of the facility is in poor shape. The halls look like cell blocks and the rooms are in dire shape. We had extensive mould all over the shower, a rotting bathroom door, smashed up walls and a worn out carpet. The pool had a layer of grime on the surface, crap on the bottom and the jacuzzi was frothing with oils and other filth. My advice: stay somewhere else!

Staff disrespectful. I wanted to enter the pool. Every time I came, I was told that the limit is full. I paid too much money and chose the pool because it has a pool, but I could not use it once.

Have complained via email yet know one gets back to you. Staff walked into room without knocking while my partner was getting dressed!’ Tv was broken then even after being fixed the channels was not in any order! Hottub is on a timer once every 10min steam room had no steam and was luke warm at best!

Tired room, aircon didn't work, loud noise from a pump or fan outside. Tiny bathroom. Sticky desk so not cleaned properly. Had a dog with us so had to have breakfast in the bar. However no table set up for us to eat at. Complained to reception but not interested. Won't be staying again.

Helpful, friendly staff, spotless room with just a couple of signs of wear and tear. Beds were fine, tea/coffee facilities ok, breakfast choice and quality superb. In a busy location but totally quiet inside.

The room was in a nice quiet part of the hotel and although we didn’t use all of the facilities those on offer were exceptional. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and well stocked with the usual tea and coffee and towels and shampoo and shower gel.

Nice hotel, comfortable room but bathroom was quite small and cramped. TV didn't work properly and this is something I often find in hotels. This isn't a budget hotel though so I would expect this not to happen. Most of the main channels were unwatchable. I went to reception to report but there was a queue so I didn't bother until I checked out.

The room was lovely and the shower was amazing. I tried using the air con but it didn't cool down the room much and it interfered with the tv. I was woken up late at night by trolleys being taken outside then woken up again at 7:30am by the same noise. The toilet was a nightmare to flush. I appreciated complimentary treats in the fridge.

The property in general is good but the room needs improvement. The bed is too soft and the wheels on the bedframe makes it move. The shower is only half close and water spills out.

Dont book here! This was the worst hotel in our 3 week journey. The room was tiny. It was sold as sleeps 3 but was a very narrow double bed and a “couch” bed that was not a fold out couch bed it. It was literally a couch with ottoman that was hard as a rock. The bathroom was the size of an airplane bathroom, had to stand over the toilet to open the door. The hot tub was not hot and shutdown at 8pm. Pool didn’t even allow you to jump in. I️ get not diving but jumping? How r kids supposed to have fun? We had the largest room they offer and it was so tiny we could barely open 3 suitcases and walk through.

I wish I took photos of the disgusting hallways, the smell of damp throughout was absolutely disgusting. I’m absolutely appalled, we left at mid night on the second night due to noise and just having had enough of the terrible hotel. We tried to use the jacuzzi and an elderly gentleman was in it for over an hour both times we tried so we gave up in the end. We rang through to reception to check in dining and bar times and this was between 8:15-8:45 and was told the bar was shut only to walk down two hours later to find it still open and no reception staff anywhere to be seen. Also upon checking in the receptionist was very aggregated that we had asked for a second key as me and my husband were Christmas shopping and running arrands so needed our own keys and I can quote the female member of staff said “make sure you don’t keep it people have been stealing them” with a snarky attitude.

Not great. Got there to find out two rooms for two nights had been cancelled / it was reinstated but I had to pay to reinstate the rooms although I had paid via Hotels.com. I was given a room for a colleague who arrived the next day and when he went to his room someone was in it, so that room had been allocated to someone else. This again was sorted by a helpful person on the desk but I need to make sure I haven't been charged twice now and if so praying for it to be refunded.

Hotel staffs are very friendly and professional. Breakfast options are also very good. In my opinion, the essence of hospitality business is friendliness to guests. I stayed this hotel for 7 nights and I really liked the way hotel staffs are interacting with guest. Very professional. I travel a lot and stay many different kinds of hotels on business. I am a Hilton Diamond member in the U.S. so my standard is quite high. Having said that, I was very impressed with service, friendliness, and kindness of all hotel staff. I personally think this hotel is managed very well.

We stayed over as we came to see Ed Sheeran at the football stadium. Upon check in, staff were amazing and welcoming. They had gift bags for people attending the concert as well as useful information on how to get there. Couldn’t fault them at all.

Staff were excellent and the breakfast was very nice. A little further away from Portman Road than I thought, but there were good transport options and the staff explained the best way and things worked out really well. A very friendly group of people working here from manager, to reception and bar. Thank you.

The bar service was very slow, taking 20 mins to get served as only 1 bar staff. 5 of us went in restaurant at 6:30pm sat for 30 min before any orders were taken, there was only 10 people in there, then the food took 1.5hrs to come out, Food was good when we eventually got it. Had to go to other bar to get drinks and spent far more then expected on drinks as waited that long for food to come out. other customer complaining about the service and even a staff member called the customer rude for complaining ! Card payment machine didn't work either. Had a dressing table in room with no chair, handle fell off wardrobe when opened it. Breakfast was good apart from asking for the veggie option sausages, they came out raw on one side and hot on the other (Frozen microwave i assume) sent them back. I booked out 3 rooms for 2 nights for work and expected more from this hotel chain, basically lack of staff was the main cause

Only stayed one night but everything was great. Staff were helpful and friendly, room was very clean and comfortable, unfortunately had to leave before breakfast but ordered a pizza the night before which was delicious. Great hotel.

I very much liked my allocated room as it had a bath in it which was a nice surprise I have a walk in shower at home.The swimming pool ,steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi, are all great and i used them all . I stayed at the holiday inn earlier in the month and really enjoyed the meal that i purchased. However this time i had to send vack a pizza i ordered as it was burtn underneat and i couldn't cut it or bite it . The manager was most helpful ,and he let me order something else , so i ordered the hand battered haddock and chips that i had so enjoyed on my previous visit . My room was so quiet and i had a good nights sleep there. Very comfortable bed , not fond of the pillows. I will bring my own that i am used to on my next stay, (new ones)then wash them when i get home. Over all a lovely hotel with lovely helpful staff, and great facilities . I usually stay on a Sunday ,and i wish a Sunday roast dinner was available . Dont like the starters that are on offer. Would love prawn cocktail ,or a liver pate with fresh crusty bread and salad ( not croutons). I look foward to my next visit. I enjoy the pool etc and the comfort of a lovely very clean room and a comfortable bed

Staff friendly, nothing too much trouble. Nice swimming pool complex. Really great to have such a lovely gluten free breakfast and felt reassured about cross contamination. Separate toaster etc. 3 rd stay and would stay again.

Reception staff very helpful but nobody on reception when I was checking out. Some breakdast items cold but chef helpful cooking poached eggs . Carpets did not feel clean in bare feet otherwise room was clean

Good hotel, good stay . Excellent breakfast, loads of choice and really tasty. Hotel is a bit tired in places , eg bathroom sealant, paint on doors and shelves etc . But still perfectly fine. One thing I did have a problem with. The restaurant menu could be more clearer. I ordered colcannon mash . I expected potatoes and cabbage mash . There was pancetta in it ! I'm a vegetarian. I checked the menu after , no mention of meat and the 'v' 've' 'gf' symbols on the menu listing is tiny . It should be larger and clearer. Also if a dish has pork products in them (any meat really) it should be well labelled.

Only stayed one night but everything was great. Staff were helpful and friendly, room was very clean and comfortable, unfortunately had to leave before breakfast but ordered a pizza the night before which was delicious. Great hotel.
